Already used the search engine for this kind of information I'm searching for. By every link you'll get linked to another millions of threads and this confuses me a bit.
I'm looking for a tool which is able to create OEM packages out of cab files, as simple as possible.
And sorry for a may doublethreaded post...
This has had some success with CABs to OEM packages: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=422942
There are also some manul guides on the various wikis, have a look around.

Is thre a way in WM6 to add words to the auto complete?
"I'm" seems to be missing, whereas it was there in WM5 and would like to add it, and maybe a couple of others.
search for mobile-sg DictMgr at the net.
you can try http://dmitriy.geels.googlepages.com/dictionaryeditor or http://mobile-sg.com/software/?p=DictMgr&platform=ppc
hopefully one of these is what you are looking for
Cheers, I'll have a look.
maybe this solves:
you can have a look at file "autocorrect.0409.txt" under \windows.
show hidden files must be enabled first.

nope that wont help because its read only.. nice try though if you are going to modify that txt file it needs to be done from the dump using taz's tools but i havnt had good luck doing that maybe someone with a little more knowledge will come along and help out.
I have checked and searched for this with no luck; the only post that would have helped gives an inactive link
I need the transcriber; the full .cab file, with the help and configuration etc.
thanks, any response would be much appreciated
thanks again for reading
Guess you need to enhance your searching skills then...

thanks for replying, i saw this thread and read all posts but nothing useful for my condition.
after updating i unhided the ext.rom then opened and empty
I first used:
Olipro :> Mount ExtROM for Writing without SuperCID
Copied all the contents of the ExtRom to my Desktop,
deleted cabs I didn't want
Then I used:
HTC Extended ROM Image Editor, or Using Extended ROM without CID Unlock.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=303049
Added the Cabs I wanted.
Then used Duttys Tool to convert to NBH
then Flashed. (ExtRom Only)

Ummm, thanks a lot!! It works!! I had this one already in version 0.9.0.5
which seems more up to date for me, but with this one you could not open
the extended rom, but only create a new one
So with this version 0.9.0.1 opening and extracting worked like a charm...
Many thanks again

I had it at one point, but don't know where I put it when I uninstalled it to try some other things. Can somoene post the link, I keep coming up with the manilla thread (and I don't use manilla)
here you are
PS: What do you mean I don't use manilla?
haha sorry, I didn't catch that. I meant I'm not familiar with doing this stuff manually.
thanks tho!
here's a link to nisse's background for all tabs including a couple of cool backgrounds. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2869354&postcount=571
I however am unable to get it to work. I have tried running manila and have managed to get 4a087e41_manila (background picture) file on there but cant seem to get the 5c9aa261_manila as it says it's copyright protected and wont delete or replace the file. I'm running dutty's v1.7. Any help with this would be appreciated maybe a step by step if it's not too much to ask.
hey guys !
there is a dedicated thread "TF3D collection" that contains all what you need to customize the TF3D, and the background for all tabs .cab was in there
please use the search function, or check the sticked threads before posting a question

Thanks dude
Have a look in there you should find the answer

If anybody is interested in grabbing the ringtones/wallpaper/strange sample icons from WM7, it's possible to reverse engineer the BIN file to get at the raw files that make up WM7.
Happy to post steps if anybody wants to get at this stuff, if not please see wallpapers and ringtones attached to this post. Hopefully helpful to somebody out there.
thanks... please post how to extract the bin for noobs!
Of course... you need:
- The BIN file. In this case I used WM7Full.bin available from several sites
- viewbin.exe from Microsoft Platform SDK
- cvrtbin.exe from Microsoft Platform SDK
- dumprom.exe from Microsoft Platform SDK
You may also be able to find these utilities using Google.
Use viewbin.exe to analyse the file:
viewbin.exe -t wm7full.bin
You'll see an image start and length. Start was 0x81000000 with length 0x0496A294 for the specific file I used. Plug these values into cvrtbin.exe:
cvrtbin.exe -r -a 0x81000000 -l 0x0496A294 -w 32 wm7full.bin
(obviously substituting the -a and -l value for those obtained from viewbin. Leave -w as 32)
This will produce wm7full.nb0. Plug this file into dumprom.exe:
dumprom.exe -d c:\output wm7full.nb0.
And there you have it, the files will be chucked into c:\output in their entirety.
Thanks for this one, some good sounds inside
I can't find viewbin.exe, cvrtbin.exe, and dumprom.exe anywhere, can someone post a link?
EDIT: Or, better yet, could someone just upload the dump?
EDIT 2: Okay, I found the tools, but the dump didn't work. Any suggestions?
Could you provide details of the error that you're seeing please?
To answer your other questions, I'm not planning to upload the whole dump as it's copyright and against the forum rules. Same goes for the tools, they're part of the Platform Builder SDK.

There is no error message; I run the tools exactly as described, which works, but when I look for "C:\output", I can't find it. Otherwise everything is fine.

You will need to substitute c:\output for a directory of your choice that exists on your system. Please also ensure that you are using the offset and length appropriate to the bin file you are using.

as akersj says above... you need to create the folder c:\output first or use another folder that already exists. The tools will not create a new directory for you.
Oh, I see now! I can't believe I didn't try that!
Well, anyway, this is pretty interesting. Especialy files like 'FileBrowser.exe,' FileBrowserCM.dll,'and 'NativeInstallerHost.exe' could be of some great use to us.
