Frugal Diamond? - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV ROM Development

Hello,
Is there a cooked rom that maximises battery power? I am ready to drop accelerator/gsensor, 3g, touchflow, anything else not required.
I know it is silly sitting on a great phone and not using all its features, but battery power is most important to me, i use the phone for calls/texts and internet browsing (no downloads).
Thanks
N

Panosha Simple gave me the best battery life but the difference between all the Roms I've tested is negligable.

how 'bout an extended battery? like the mugen power 2000mAh stated in the accesories forums?

I got myself a extended battery (1800mAh) but the backcover looks ugly also it is a misfit, i have a t-mob compact iv which has diff type of backcover then HTC diamond.

Understand what your about....I am still using an "older" SwiftB Lite 6.0 ROM that gives me about 3 days with very minimal use.....
...however the HTC extended battery (only about 1350 Mah I think) for Diamond still looks cool (not glossy either) and will give you that little bit more juice
Mind you this is not the cheap-cheap option

Trying panoshine 2.3 lite now, lets see what it does to the battery

HTC extended battery
i have this and it lasts 3/4 days normal use
with duttys rom

Best Battery for prophet

Looks like my main battery for O2 XDA NEO is dying, maybe WM6 is eating more of my battery power. Now I want to get a replacement battery. Besides the factory type isnt there a newer version and holds more charge too? Not sure about reliability, if anyone can share some of their experinces will be great.
i dont know however i saw i nice battery on ebay with 1800mah!

Batteries with Extanded Covers ... THEY SUCKS!
The Cover is crap!
The 1800mAh isnt easy to find ... i think its the best Batterie in the moment. If HTC make a extanded batterie kit ... buy it! I have a Startrek with new Coverer and the Quality is very high!
Do you have a link or a pic of the battery? why the extanded covers sucks can you explain that?

you destroy your phone's beauty and also many times the covers are not exactly the same color but enough in order to see the differece also many times they dont completly fit
true ... true
My friends and I are using the 1800mAh batteries from this seller http://search.stores.ebay.com.au/SO...dgetsQQfsooZ2QQfsopZ2QQsaselZ30323434QQsofpZ0
Comparing to my one year old 1200mAh original battery the results were obvious. I could get more than 90 hours of standby with a few mins of call each day. Something I couldn't have thought of with a PocketPC phone.
It's been about 5 months since my purchase, the battery is still good. I heard from others that non-genuine battery tend to have shortened lifespan in just a few months.
Only about 3 to 5 grams heavier and 1mm thicker (which leaves no space between the back cover and the battery) if you do notice these minute differences. It's crucial that the battery won't make your Prophet any thicker!
My only complain was, if you asked, that it took almost a week for the delivery. Otherwise I'm happy with it.

Maybe WM6 has some bug that is draining your battery so much. I have 1200mA battery and it works 4-5 days before recharging.
I don't know, but the best one out there is 1300 i find on eBay... or does Battery for Dopod 818 fit?

just took delivery of one of the dealextreme batteries, put it in and no sign that it is charging - battery monitor says "unknown", no orange light or % charge shown. Is it dud or do I have to wait a few hours......?
update, I have 2 of these 1800mah batteries and each behaving same - they don't appear to be charging. Any wise words?
@roughneck57 : sorry to hear.. especially after purchasing 2. does the battery heat up at all?
i ordered one.. and i'm still waiting for it to arrive. now i'm worried.
have you contacted extremedeals, how are they handling it ?

forgot to say, battery is not heating up at all - I left it on charge for 3 or 4 hours last night and nothing - however, residual charge is actually powering the PDA so there is life in there. Must be the chip that reports on battery condition and charge etc.
Also, I have tried both in 3 different PDA (m600's) and same problem. One phone has an 1800mah battery purchased from ebay and that looks exactly the same but works fine - so it's not as if the PDA can't handle non-standard size.
Hope this helps.

extended battery for aria???

Hello all, Like everyone these little Aria's are nice devices..
I however seem to have mine plugged to something all the time...
My ARIA, is rooted and running froyo 2.2, still the battery life is awful, even wit the average apps turned off.
1. are there extended battery's available for the ARIA?
2. are my only options buying several battery's and swapping?
3> does anyone have any advice that may help my ARIA, stay away from the dreaded WIRE for charging??
any help would be awesome..........tattooer
let the battery run all the way before you charge it
If you are having battery issues, I'd root it. Once you root, you can wipe battery stats, flash CM (amazing battery life), etc.

I think they have portable chargers...
I saw one at best buy, where you charge it (basically an external battery) and you can plug your phone into it when you need a charge for the phone.
Energizer Energi to go is also another option...
As for me, to get the best battery life I turn off 3g, since I'm mostly around wifi anyway.
My phone is running froyo 2.2 from a file.on my see card, I rooted my phone Rondo this. Is cm6. Betterr. Than froyo for battery life?
So there are no battery replacements that give more battery Life??I have searched. The web over and over.thanks for the help. Between cm6 and froyo which has the best battery. Life?
instead of thinking, 'i need to replace the battery because it doesn't last long enough', try thinking 'what can i do to help my phones battery last a bit longer'.
firstly, read this tutorial.
in regards to task killers, i suggest reading this, and this and this.
lastly, i would recommend installing juicedefender and watchdog.
also if you're willing since its still experimental I have been using build #12 of CM7 nightlies and my batteries last much longer then when I had 2.2. I play games check articles blah blah and get about 40% life left when I go to bed around 14 hours of usage time.

Hi guys! I've never had serius problems with the battery of my Gratia (the European version of the Aria), but i have to recharge it every 2 days (or every day if I use it much more than the ordinary) and it's a bit annoying... I saw a powerful battery (2430 mah) in ebay, so if you are desperate you can try it
i can't give you the link because it's my first post
if you are intersted just write htc gratia battery on the search bar of the website.
PS: i'm sorry for my english be patient !

You are talking about "GOLD 2430MAH BA S430 BUSINESS BATTERY FOR HTC GRATIA"
The price and capacity sounds too good to be true. Curious if anyone tried these out.
I thought the same thing... i don't need to try it, but i'm a bit curious to know if it really works.
There is no way to pack 2430mah in a small form factor like that.
It should be over twice the thickness of a standard aria battery.
To get any extra milliamps, you would have to thicken or lengthen the battery.
Stock is it until they come out with something newer than lithium.

I don't understand: supercharger seems to be responsible to faster phone, does it also helps battery life?

Awesome Extended battery/plus best case

What is currently the best battery for the EVO 4g? Im tired of searching for ROMS that give better battery life or doing all the tweaks..Ive seen the galileo and several others but just asking around...Also same for case?
Personally I like this one Tridentcase Electra
Thanx for the post but dont like the see thru stuff...is there a really good extended battery that is slim like the stock battery that comes with a different colored case?

They have it in all black as well but if you want a slim one look for a sedio 1750 its better than stock and doesn't need a new battery cover
How does the sedio 1750 compare to the galileo 2000 in terms of hrs added over stock? Isnt the galileo slim too?
Other inexpensive cases for extended batteries
There is a seller on eBay (moretalktime) who sells custom TPU cases for a lot of phones including the evo 4g with the extended battery.
Can anyone chime in on the Galileo 2000 compared to the stock & the sedio 1750? How many more hrs are possible with each over stock? I want a slim batt

I have the Galileo and it lasts me a few hours longer than stock..it's a noticeable enough difference. After being with an Evo for a year I have just accepted that battery life simply blows. No matter the ROM/Kernel combination I'm either charging or swapping batteries mid day.
I agree mulhiny...However, I feel I found a pretty good combo..I am on ISC 7 which is just a modified CM 7 with Savage Zen 2.2.1 CFS HAVS smartass governor & this kernel seems to help a lot with battery life! I notice by the end of the day I am left with 25% battery life where b4 having this kernel I would need to recharge...Im not sure if its a combo of this ROM & kernel or jus the kernel that is helping so much...I have used many ROMS: decks with tiamat (no change in batt life was pretty bad plus would get screen locks where nothing worked) MIUI with stock kernel seemed better than decks & seemed to run better for me overall more responsive no lockups quick better bat life (didnt get that lock up issue where nothing on the screen would respond just wish the batt life could be as good as what I get now..
mulhiny is the galileo the most powerful battery you can get that still keeps your phone slim?
If you don't mind the bulk the seidio or pt (best buy rebranded), extended 3500 is very good. The extended rugged case is really bulky for my taste but it's modular, so I just leave the first layer, the surface case on. It doesn't provide much protection but I am usually a lot more careful when I have that could combo on. I found that deck and savage kernel gave me the best battery life on the phone. I also applied the vipermod uc mod plus the v6 script for smoother scrolling. All in all I averaged between 1.5-2 days of moderate use. If you don't want a bulky battery the chichitec were decent for me, gave me a few more hours more than stock. A few things helped me achieve better battery life was keeping wifi on whenever it was available. If I know I'm at home, school or office I always keep wifi on and it saves me a ton of battery. Hope this helps!

I am honestly looking for the most powerful slim battery. I dont like the bulky look...LMK what the most powerful slim batt is on the market for the EVO 4g. I think I might have seen a 2200 but Im not sure.
It seems that savage zen gives the best batt life! Really glad I came across this kernel as Tiamat was not helping me noticeably. BTW I sent you a pm!

The Galileo is the largest I found that had a name I recognized. I have seen 2200 no names. I would agree that Decks with SZ kernel offers the best battery. I didn't notice a big difference after undervolting, but my phone would only handle -25 before it would crash.
I always can manage to get through a day with any particular rom/kernel combo for the most part, but in order to use my phone the way I want to the best solution for me is my Galileo as a primary battery with my stock as a back up. I always charge both at the end of the day. By simply getting over battery life and accepting 2 batteries a day as the norm, I can now just enjoy any rom I choose.
I too have packed my extended batteries away and use the standard one. I run CM7 with an sbc kernel and by the end of the day, I am at about 20% and by end of the day, I mean 10-11pm.
Granted, if I notice I am killing the phone with calls, txts, or the game moggle, I toss it on a charger for a little.
Great I think i found a good kernel for ASOP Roms. Will test out a few other roms with this kernel & see results I get.
Where is the best/cheapest place to get a slim extended life battery?
I have seen other posts where people were getting 2 batteries with a charger for $20, but everything I am finding is $20-$25 just for one battery...
I need a good one too. I have an otter box ( It has saved my phones ass ) and I want it to still fit on.
I do all my shopping on Amazon
Which battery is better ?? Acase or Yoobao

HTC Desire CDMA w/ 3500 mAh Extended Battery...

Hello folks..
I have a HTC Desire CDMA and I bought a Extended battery (3500 mAh to be exact) and this battery lasts just about as long as my normal battery does. It is thick enough to be 3 of my regular batteries, and it is alot heavier, so i know it wasnt a scam, plus there was good reviews... but, The only difference that I get with this extended battery, is that it stays at 100% for about 3 hours, and then starts booming down the charts on battery level.. I mean, i normally have about 25% at the end of the day with this extended battery, but i figure that it should atleast last 2 days on a full charge.... with it being 3500 mAh.. I mean, wow... Can someone help me? Im using a trusted stable battery saving kernel and rom.. so I know that's not the problem..
bump.........?

Do you have a custom rom? Try to download SpareParts from the market and unplug the charger when it says "charged". For my Samsung i5500 and a cyanogen rom the phone says "charged" a lot of time before the real charge...i think that the batterystats file isn't calibrated on your new battery, and so it says charged before...if you have a custom rom i think it's useful (if not necessary) to do a battery ricalibration (i.e charge the phone until the 100% then wipe the battery stats via recovery and then let the phone discharge until the 0%)
I don't know if this will help you, i hope!
I think
When i go back home tomorrow and pick up my extended battery, i will try this. thanks.
edit: yes i have a custom rom. it's oxygen.

Best battery upgrade

Hi,
I would like to know what is the best battery upgrade. Sometimes i need to use my phone for geocashing for more than two days and it is very boring trying to find time for waiting for charging. So I'm looking for best solution like extended battery or something like that. Size is not important for me, but i want something quality. Can you help me please ?
Thanks
Since size isnt a problem, id say.. get the Mugen 3200mah battery.
The quality is good and it has almost twice the capacity of the original.
Official samsung 2000 mah is pretty good. I get about 30% more usage on a full charge.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1649119
I bought a 9.99 3000mah battery from Ebay. Cut a hole in the back of my cover so it would fit. Anyway I'm getting over 36 hours between charge with moderate use. Atm I'm on 55% battery and I'm on 18 hours 16min. Data on. Sync on. half brightness
Sent from my GT-I9100 using XDA
thanks a lot for you ansvers
I run ICS with the samsung 2000Amh battery .. I get up to almost 3 days with 1 single charge and about 30% usage (calls and msg and whatsapp)
ICS alone is worth alot in getting the battery juice up..
I have just bought this 2600 mAh battery, has anyone had this, or one similar? any good or bad comment on it?

well maybe not so radical about the exploision, everythink can explode, check out this anker battery thread, haha

but what is true and so far my experience is that cheap batteries never performed the advertised capacity, i am talking about few dozens i have purchased...
i have only a suggestion: don't use batteries that gives you with the dock of sgs2

What seemed to help is enable and disable airplane mode 3 times in a row. Read that somewhere on XDA and I dont know why but I'm having a better batterylife since
asysa commanded
