is there any topic with the links of official WWE ROM ???
as far as i know the least rom is RUU_Diamond_HTC_HK_WWE_1.93.831.1
any help?
RUU_Diamond_hTC_Asia_HK_WWE_1.93.831.1.exe or
RUU_Diamond_HTC_Europe_1.93.401.2_Radio_Signed_Diamond_52.29.25.12_1.00.25.05_Ship.exe
which one ?
What are the differences?
I prefer RUU_Diamond_HTC_WWE_SingTel_WWE_1.93.871.1_Ship.rar. I'm really happy.

Which part of Asian? What input languages does it come with?
I'm a Malaysian too
The only bad thing about this update and the ROM is the absence of Market :-( I don't like SAM.

Hi mystaka,
I am not sure about your problem as the device is still new here in SEA and i only have SEA units to test about. So far SEA device have given me no problems to installing this ROM. Maybe try another region ROM?

I have the exact same problem , i am running 2.73.707.9 at the moment, I can't install any official rom.
my hero from UK
can I install Asian ROM on it?
and what the different between UK ROM and Asia ROM?
Yea same here.Im from Singapore but yet the error says "customer ID error"... this is the SEA version what...
I know i'm digging into a pretty old thread. But just wanted to know if this SEA version works for the Indian version of Hero as well. I have a Hero branded by Airtel and I've been dying to get rid of the Airtel logo as that eats up all my boot time.
Hi. Currently my phone's running on Windows Mobile 6.5 but it's not the official released ROM from HTC Support page. I wanna know if it's fine to download the official one from HTC and install it on my phone; which is also WM 6.5.
Thanks.

You should be able to flash back to your stock ROM. Is your phone an unlocked version from HTC or is it a branded version from a carrier? Also if you have hardspl your phone then you can flash any ROM you want..
what phone version do you have? On your phone, what kind of rom is it? Stock rom or cooked rom?

How do I do that? My stock ROM is 6.1. My phone is an unlocked version from HTC. Ya, I do have HardSPL; so it's fine so flash the ROM version? (being WM 6.5)

I don't know how to check my phone version. The ROM I got on now you mean? I'm pretty sure it was a cooked ROM. I got it from that page which shows countries and WM 6.5 versions. I can't find it anymore though. But I just chose the closest one from there.
Dont worry just flash the rom you like to try!

How do I check if it's GSM or CDMA? And if I install the official ROM and remove HardSPL, (for warranty and services purposes) would it still be fine? And yes, sorry if I'm being nubby...
Have a look here to find if you have a CDMA or GSM Rhodium:

For warranty proposes will be fine just going back to official ROM I guess...

Thanks but I'm really sorry; I still can't tell whether mine's GSM or CDMA lol. I suck I know lol. Will it make a difference though if I'm getting the ROM officially from the HTC site?

None. I bought the phone from a retail shop. Phone's here are not carrier exclusive except for a few like iPhones and such but not HTC's.

IS there a sim card slot? no? then it is cdma. if there is a sim card slot it is gsm
@ the above: Not true, CDMA TP2's are WORLDWIDE which means they have a SIM-slot aswell.
To the OP: If you want to know what kind of device you have, it's pretty simple. Do you put a sim-card in your cellphone? If yes, which operator/carrier? Where are you located?

Well, yes I do put a sim-card in my cellphone. My operator/carrier is STC Al Jawwal (or Saudi Telecom). I'm in Saudi Arabia.

According to Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saudi_Telecom_Company
"...Saudi Telecom provides a variety of mobile communication products and services. They offer prepaid call plans, monthly subscription plans, roaming, MMS, WAP (over both GSM and GPRS), Residential Fixed Line services, Broadband Internet plans, 3.5G services to both pre-paid and subscription customers..."
Hope this helps

Yes it did. Thank you so much. So installing the official HTC WM 6.5 on my phone running already on 6.5 would be fine right?

Yes its GSM (which is the only service provided in saudi arabia and most middle eastern countries)
And yes you can flash to any rom if your device is HardSPL, just make sure its a GSM rom and not a CDMA one.
If you say you got the rom from the page with countries and 6.5 versions, those are official rom releases ( http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=HTC_Rhodium/Shipped_Roms ) not cooked roms.

YES! That's the link! I see, but at the time when I flashed my ROM with one of those, it wasn't the official release for my phone because I went to the HTC site and they didn't have it for Middle East yet. Now that they do, I wanna get that official one instead and then remove HardSPL for warranty and stuff just in case.
go ahead and download the official HTC rom for your device and flash it.
As for restoring the original SPL head over to the hardSPL thread and the steps to restore are at the end of the second post.
Best of luck

Thank you sooo much but another question though. The first step on removing HardSPL is flashing the stock ROM. Does that mean I have to flash my phone with its original ROM? Or is it fine with the one that I'm gonna put; which is the official 6.5 from HTC?
Hi,
Do you guys know where to find the Singapore stock rom? Checked SamMobile, but no luck there. Thanks!
Singapore shares the same rom as Malaysia.

Nice to know this. But the Malaysia roms found on SamMobile are branded for certain carriers. Is there a brand-free rom somewhere?

U can also take a look at http://samsung-updates.com/gt-i8150-galaxy-w/
the latest firmware is still DXLC1 for malaysia and singapore. The carriers are compatible for singapore too. I always travel around singapore and malaysia. It works perfectly. (I am using Hybrid2 ROM with DXLC1 baseband.)
You also can use DXLC1 with XSE Region code (Indonesia). It's not carrier locked.
Thanks a lot, guys!
can't wait for the ATT version.
am getting the international version.
have the option to choose the UK or the FRENCH version.
which one has multi-window update?
TIA
I believe both the UK and French version have the XXALJ1 update available so I don't think it will matter which one out of the two you get.

Here is a nice explanation how to interpret firmware version numbers.
x.xx.206.xx is O2 if I'm not mistaken.
