I definitely love the "tile theme of 6.1/kavana" and was wondering if anyone on here knows of an available theme that would make my homescreen like wm6.1 without having to load 6.1 on my Dash. I'm happy with wm6 and don't think it's worth is to upload 6.1 just for it's homescreen....

I checked the thread dealing with changing the looks of WM5 to resemble WM6 here, but the actual theme doesn't have the cool glass effect I really like on WM6 roms.
Is there a way to get that glass effect on WM5 (or more specifically on a Trinity )??

Yes, I'm also interested in this. A lot of us have WM5 devices that may not get official WM6 upgrades but the glass effect looks pretty cool.
only way i know of is to use wisbar advance and use one of the wm6 themes from that.

Hmmm... I really wonder why.. Is it that difficult to add transparency and similar effects to the top bar?? Is it a limitation of the WM5 themes formats??
The whole idea was not to use 3rd party applications, but simply use a regular WM5 theme to resemble the WM6 glass ones.

It have nothing to do with theme.
UI elements drawing (top bar included ) is coded into GWES subsystem. Theme on PockedPCs contain only colors for bar.
And so goes the dependency - WM6 bars are drawn with WM6 GWES, WM6 GWES depends on WM6 coredll, WM6 coredll depends on WM6 kernel.
So to get this cool-looking glass effect you will need the whole WM6 on your device. Is this hard? Yes.

This is on WM5, i have install it on my qtek 8300, and work and look great
This is just a theme for WM Smartphone.
It works only on smartphones without touchscreen, and even there it does not skin the top & bottom bars everywhere.
Hmm, Ingvarr, the aygshell draws bars, not gwes. with 5.2 kernel wm6 gwes works on wm5)) but aygshell has different ordinals then wm5 and it will not work with wm5
I actually found a method, there's a small app in german which changes the WM5 top and bottom bars to resemble the WM6 ones..
It's quite buggy, but does the job nicely.
I'll post it later.

Sorry, my mistake. Still, it will end with the need of kernel replacement, and even more - no minor feat.
Btw "wm5 with 5.2 kernel" is technically not wm5 anymore
Hi ive been searching the forums trying 2 find the new touchflo 3d to install on my my blackstone and i cant find it i wonder if any would could point me in the right direction so i can install the new 2.5 touchflo on my devices

TouchFLo 2.5 isn't ready for actual use yet. You'll have to wait a little while longer until a lot of bugs are worked out. Just keep an eye on the ROMZ section as I'm sure it will pop up soon enough. There is a rom out right now that has TouchFLo 2.5 in it but GSM is crippled so you cannot send text messages as well as some other problems. There is a link in this thread to a cooked ROM with touchflo 2.5 if you want to try it out.

The most up to date version of manila that I have seen cooked into roms is TouchFLo v2.1, but I have not seen this available as a cab. Then again, I never look for cab versions of TouchFlo. I personally use Dutty's 3.9XT Turbo rom. It is WM6.1 and is available with manila V2.1. Great rom, fast, and stable. Sorry I can't tell you where to find a .cab file for touchflo v2.1 though.
Thanks for your reply il look for a .cab. i flashed miris 6.5 which had manila but i found that if made the camera a lot pixely maybe it was just me so i flash back to the htc wm6.1 im a bit gutted that the htc touch hd is not getting the 6.5 upgrade and was thinking of selling a getting a diamond 2

No CAB for Manilla 2.0 or 2.1. Never has been, probably never will be. Only ever seen it cooked into the ROM.

Touchflo comes with NFSfans 6.5 rom, you just need to enable it in the home settings as a default it's set on windows 6.5 theme, just tick the box and your away.

I would honestly give NFSFAN's new 6.5 ROM a try. Even the best 6.1 ROMS Do not compare to the performance stability I experience with his ROM. But if your hard set on 6.1 then download M2DC (LINK) And then you can download the classic blue theme from HERE. I didn't really look for a mega M2DC theme, But I'm sure there is one around here. The forum search function is your friend, it wont bite.

I don't understand why would anyone even want wm6.5 it's just a bloated wm6.1. Wm6.1 was the best winmo they made and if you really want that more iphone like interface it can happen, thee are many 3rd party skinning programs.

i have a phone called the samsung intrepid, it has wm 6.5
what would be the easyist way to get it to 6.5.3 because no1 makes roms for this device... could any1 make this rom? I dont know how hard this could be
