I've looking for how to increase the mms size that is allowed to be sent.
by default it's 300 kb.
i've been looking in the registry, and came across this:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Arcsoft\Arcsoft MMS UA\Config\UI\SizeLimit
does that key have anything to do with the mms size limit?
Carrier & phone info?

Try the attached by Raiisak (you can also search for his software here), which enables you to increase the size to 3M.
How to force camera in mms-mode record more then 200kb ?

I want to shrink the size of the sms messages in a conversation just a bit, how would I go about doing this?
And also, when you open a conversation up, there is only about 15ish messages displayed, and you have to scroll all the way up to get to the 'Older' link, is there a way to make this go faster by also putting the link at the bottom, or is there a way to display more messages per page?
Thanks
PS-Im using Kavanas version of WM6.1 if thats needed
bump (char limit)
I would use the DPI configuration. Here is the link for that CLICK HERE
Hey guys, is their anyway to get around the 600KB picture limit when sending MMS's? I have HTC Tilt 2 with AT&T and I have no clue how to make my pictures smaller. I read on this forum that there is a way to compress it while sending however when I'm in the MMS screen and I hit "Menu" there is no option for me to compress the picture. Is their a cab out there that changes the KB limit for picture messages?
the limits are actually controlled by the carrier. you can set the size in the registry to send anything, but if it exceeds the maximum allowed by the carrier the MMS will be rejected. When you add an image to your new MMS if the size exceeds the set limit it will ask you to compress, on that screen you choose the size you want to compress it to and from the right soft key menu choose compress and it should compress it to the chosen size and allow you to send it.
Thank you so much! I actually figured it out, your right it is in the screen where you can compress it. Thanks!
How did you compress them. I have the same problem and for me to be able to send pictures i have to change the setting of the camera before i take the picture from 3m to 2m so it can be sent out

When you select a Pic to send it will tell you it is too big, if you hit menu you will see compress and select that. Ohhh wait this was posted 2 posts up....guess I should have read the thread
another alternative
Some carriers dont restrict to small sizes. I have sent as big as a meg on Rogers. I use arcsoft mms creator (look for Romeos cab) and then use Raisaks 3 meg mms limit extender cab. It does all the registry edits for you. They are both fromt he Kaiser forum but work well on the TP2. You will have to set your mms server info but the instructions are where you get the cab to edit size.
Hey all, I read over the forums a bit, and I saw quite a few threads about changing just the SMS font size, but not changing the rest of the System font sizes. I have figured out a way to do it for the tilt 2 for AT&T.
The font size is not really the issue when it comes to the SMS font. The issue relis on the zoom of the screen. The SMS screen for texting carry a different setting for zoom, and it saves it when you change it. If you want to change the size of the SMS font, simply increase or decrease the zoom of the screen. This will only affect the SMS texting screen, and not the rest of the system.
Hope this helps everyone ^_^.

Thanks for that tip to increase the font size in my text messages. I don't even know how I reduced them--just, one day, I couldn't even read them without my magnifying glasses. This fixed it right up. I selected a text, scrolled the zoom bar and, BAM! Back to readable.

I have a verizon phone that is unlocked, using with at&t. My zoom bar does not work with sms. Do you have any idea how to get it to work. I am to the point that I need reading glasses to see the small SMS text size and yes I have it set to the largest size in wm6.5.
it seems like whenever i send a picture to people the picture gets compressed to a way smaller size ... is there anyway to change the size limit? ... sorry if this question was answered before ... Thank you in advance
Sent some texts this morning fine. Tried sending one now and the font size has changed, it is so big you only get about 5 letters on the screen. I have not changed any settings. Anyone help withreturning it to normal size
Thanks
