[APP] Use HTC headset (microphone button) to play/pause/next with Manila Audio Tab

Hi
This application allows you to play/pause and play the next track
on manila audio manager (music tab).
Works exactly as iPhone/iPod.
one long press on the headset's microphone button => play/pause
press quickly two times => play next track
Install the CAB in the internal storage.
This setup will overwrite default functions (voice recognition and redial last number) but once uninstalled you'll have back them.
Tested on Touch HD (blackstone) on many roms.

As windows runs redial.exe and sddialer.exe as commands spawn by headset, the screen will be swiched on, and the application will switch off it - this will result in a screen-flash.

This stuff already works without any additionnal software.
I have a headset (bluetooth), and so Play / Pause / Next / Previous works already.

thanks for the app! But i have problem with it. I can jump to the next track with press quickly 2 times, but one long press method for play/pause doesn't work.I'm on wm 6.5.

ok, i think you have changed the default exeName for SDDialer.exe in the registry.
please check this registry key/value
HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\VoiceCommand\Path
should be "\Windows\\SDDialer.exe"
if it is not, please change (ill include this into cab setup next time)
ok added registry keys into setup-cab - re-download again

I have a HTC Touch CDMA(Sprint) with the new (and beta) WM6.5, but this app seems to be useless because when i plugged in, and press the microphone button say this:
"There is no headset connect on this device"
When actually i had press the microphone button. How can i solve this? i've tried modifing the registry with no success.

not YET compatible with WM6.5 as it has not been ufficially released.
ANYWAY....
if headset is plugged there should be a key in registry...
HKLM\System\State\Hardware\Headset = 0x01 (DWORD)
try to set it manually to one (1)

would it be possible to create this app also for the windows media player of wm6.1?? because i use it with voice command and its sensless if double tap brings manila to the front and voice command uses wm player!
for me its enough if the next track feature works with wm!
i dont knwo if its hard to to that! i would it try by myself, but atm i got only visual studio express and the sdk doesnt fit to it! also it seams you are used to the wm sdk

mmmh only icon inside exe.
the cab now installs directly to device (without unuseful destination choose).

NoviiRemote Deluxe problems

Hi all,
Trying to get Novii Remote 4 Deluxe working on my new Touch HD. It installed fine but it looks like it doesnt support the 480*800 Res. Just gives error "NoviiRemote does not support this screen resolution". Is there anything I can do to overcome this?
Im pretty new to Windows Mobile so please forgive me if there is a simple fix for this kinda thing.
If this program is just incompatible with the touch HD, is there another remote app that works reliably?

Few unfixed problems in the kitchen

Ok, I decided to write new thread because most of the rom makers I pm to didn't answer me at all. Some kind of secrets or whatever. I think we should help each other to improve our ROM's but maybe I'm wrong.
I have some issues in my owe ROM which I can't really fix. Maybe someone will know the solution
1. Some ROM makers wrote in their changelogs that now CommMgr is really closing without being on the process list all the time? How?
2. I'm using EZinput keyboard 2.0.33633 full qwerty and two keyboards should be available: full qwerty and phone keyboard. Only the first one is present in the system (the second one now is standard MS keyboard instead of phone keyboard 2.0 EZinput). Why? I changed the EXT package many times to make sure it's ok and all the time the same issue...
3. Is there a working method to change system rings to wav? Every time I do it then they doesn't work. Do I have to change also some registry value?
4. Windows Media Player dosen't play any videos. I changed mHub and mHubVO into some other versions but still no efect. What else could be the reason?
That's all what I'd love to know to make my ROM better

I know how to manually switch between those keyboards using registry entries [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\ezsip]
CurrentSIP set to a00 is Phone Keypad and d00 for fullQWERTY. But still it's impossible to change it in menu (WM6.5 21725)
That's all I want to share with, maybe it will help someone. Should I expect some respond? I don't think so :]

Dude, about the comm manager, I don't know which version of comm manager are u using. But I got my comm manager working good n closing when clicked on x button. All I can say is don't use any new version like 2.8 or topaz comm manager. Use the 2.7.1.4 version. It's OG diamond comm manager n works nice. I'm using the same version.

The keyboard is still my biggest problem. I wonder what's wrong that I cannot switch between Full qwerty and phone keypad in the sip menu bar.

Did u try the GEN Y sip menu..??
I heard someone there saying that if we have the touchflo installed, then only we can change between the phone pad n qwerty board. But touchflo brings some more diff probs elsewhere.
Surprising issue this.. Coz it works perfectly fine with ezinput 1.

do u have a package of touchflo..?? If not, I'll mail it to you. Try to import it n see if it works. I had in the previous build of this kitchen.

i dont know..check gen y thread..u will definitely get moe help there. its surely been talked about in that thread.

I think I know the answer. Ability to change between keyboards wouldn't work on wm6.5 without HTC menuenhancement.

nope its not only that, u definitly need the touchflo package, but that package conlicts with wm 6.5
the only thing we can do is wait for HTC to bring out its first WM 6.5 rom for diamond2, then we can take the new touchflo or ezinput package from that rom
about the windows media player issue, make sure u have the DShow OEM in your rom

there a slight newer one in my kitchen, here are the oems i use for multimedia:
- DShow_2_00_19143426_0
- mHub_6_57_080529_E0
- mHubVO_1_75_090515_X0
u should also check the following drivers in OEMDrivers:
- qtv.dll
- qtv_mp4_decoder.dll
try replacing those drivers

And again some damn issues in my kitchen
For last two days I was looking for the source of why my Face down mute ring stopped working. In registry everything is fine. Exept of registry, is there any dll library or something responsible for that? Also when I'm in windows file explorere and want to copy the file from IS to main memory (I do tap on "Copy")and then tap on the menu to choose the location then it crashed.
Any ideas for soulution those two problems?
PS. One more thing I forgot... I used to have my clock and calendar to set up automaticly the date and time after HR but now it seems to be gone... Is it up to network type currently using? GPRS/3G? Or maybe some registry value?

Thanks dude but it doesn't work. I was trying with both, 0 and 1 to make sure but still no effect. Friend of mine checked some others 6.5 ROM's and it seems that it doesn't work in any of them.

I found out that automatic time and date set works only if 3G/SHDPA network is available. So this question is out of date.
If anyone find the solution with face down mute ring then please let me know.
Another issue that I was hoping to solve is contact list popping up every time after SR. So in titanium softkeys registry I changed SK1URL into HTCActionScreen. And now... HTCActionScreen popping up every time after SR. Any solution for that?

voice annoucement for caller ID

And again I have a question - is there application that would speak me the name of the person calling me? I mean that if John calls me it would ring, ring.. john.. ring, ring
Voice Command does not work on X1 for this feature
Voice2go is useless too, because when it launches it takes over my speaker, and only after turning it off manually it can speak normally. beseide of that - i rly do not like that app :/
So can anyone give some advice?

I may be wrong but I think that voice for caller announcement has never worked with WM6.1...

True - it did not worked :/
There was a trick on forum, that made it work on some ROM's - the needed to disable skins for phonepad and it worked.
But it does not makes the trick for me :/
Any more sugestions

did you check the box in the options to use it on the speaker too?
otherwise it works with the headset only (didn't try that).
but you have to disable the dailer skin either way.
ps: there is a thread about that already which is half a year old or something (-> search).

Yeap, I've disabled the option in Advanced Configuration Tool:
Phone -> Phone skin: Disabled.
And it did not worked... I've made the use speaker too option enabled.
So is there any program that really can do it?

Any fully working call recording programm?

I tried ACR 1.2.3 automatic call recording programm, found it here in XDA forum, whitch working perfect on my HTC Diamond2.
But now in my HTC HD mini, when i record a calling, the other person stop hearing me!!!
I read somewere here in forum that this problem occured with Vito Audio Notes , too.
Is this a hardware limitation or can fix with a registry setting or a new rom?

I tried ACR v1.2 and found that the recorded volume of the incoming caller is very soft and muffled.
VITO and Resco Audio recorder also not working.
Anybody got any idea?

I have the same problem (the other party can not hear me when I start recording). I hope that somebody will find a solution.

I have tryed some and all didn't work with my German ROM.
Maybe are the Original HTC app "ICR"-"In Call Recorder" in a WWE ROM integrated.
That somebody can extract it.
I use a German ROM and in Europe I think it's not alloud to use some kind of recordings app's.

I installed 1.2.4 HD version first, it caused crash. Then I installed 1.2.4 without HD, it runs. But not HTC Sense style
How about install HD versin now? Did you do it?

Don't load ICR.exe, remove ICR shortcut from programs! Just install 1.2.4 then ICR and SR! that's it

1_call_rec_HD.cab it's ICR - In Call Recorder! SR - Soft Reset

you mean, there are three steps to active the internal recorder:
1. install ACR
2. install ICR
3. Soft Rest

For me solution from pSyLiquid don't work.
I hear only recorded voice from myself.
How I remember on Dutty's HTC Touch HD Rom, the first time for working "ICR" you need to run record once in a call.
Afterward you open the app "ICR".
Following scenario:
- You make a call.
- Go to menu and you have the option "recording" or something like that.
(In my german ROM calls "aufnahme")
- After first recording the ICR is activated and the driver "ICR" works.
- Now you can use any record app like ACR or I use and prefer "Vito Audio Notes Touch".
The "ICR" is some kind of driver for 2 way recording, it's like a Interface.
I think our problem is, all existing "ICR" .cab's aren't compatible and certificated for the new Windows 6.5.
I got always a error after opening "ICR":

The file "ICR" cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate....
I have found here in forum some new Development Certification for Windwos Mobile 6.5, but after installing nothing change, always the same error.

I just install ACR.
Actually, I install ACR HD, then unstalled, and install ACR. So I just install ACR.

I've tried pSyLiquid's solution but it's only recording my side of the call.
Same thing happens with sanjaydevani's CAB.
Using Vito Audio Notes Touch the person on the other end doesn't hear me.
Anyways, what ROM's are you using?
I'm still using the factory default ROM v1.09.404.1 (86084) NLD
Could the updated HTC ROM (v1.36.404.1) provide any solution?
