Hi all,
i really need help. I sadly found out that i can only press one button simultaneously on my i780. If i press a second button at the same time everything stops and no keyboard signal is sent, till i release one button.
Most games are unplayable (Running , like Mario ->+B isn't possible). Or if you type your SMS too fast it recognizes "nothing pressed" wrongly.
I just can't believe how that can happen. In other words im just shocked...
I hope that there is a solution out there... I would appreciate any help so much!!!
got the same problem here
hey, i have i780 too, and i got the same annoying problem when i emulate any game on morphgear where i have to press more than 2 key presses simultaneously, or any other non emulator games that require 2 key presses.
Was actually going to buy the BGP100 bluetooth gamepad to solve the problem, but am going to wait a bit, to check if the gamepad wont have the same problems as the keyboard, cause that would be totally waste.

don't buy it i have that and it sucks, not sure what phone you have but i have the htc x7500 and what i did was use the 4in1 cable and hooked up a usb gamepad and it works great. i play nes and snes games and it works like a charm. but if you really want it i will sell you mine for $15 it still works just not with morphgear.

Hi all,
After many frustrations trying to play emulators on my Galaxy S, I've decided that I want a real controller. I have some NES/PS1 controllers laying about, and I came up with a brilliant idea!
Buy cheap bluetooth keyboard from eBay
Hardwire each PS1 button to keys on the keyboard
Stick the bluetooth circuit board inside the PS1 controller
End up with a wireless PS1 controller for all my emulators that support key remapping
I've got 3 questions though:
Do the cheap keyboards have any ghosting issues? i.e. if I hold down heaps of buttons on the controller, will some keys not be detected?
Is this the best/cheapest solution? The keyboard I'm looking at is very cheap, so I'd need a pretty amazing product to persuade me otherwise.
Is there a way to hook up a joystick via bluetooth? I've got a broken dualshock controller that would be perfect for this.
Thanks in advance!
Yeah, that should be possible. And ghosting might be a problem, but to solve that, simply test keyboard on PC to minimize conflicts (i.e. to avoid conflicts between D-Pad and X button).

Thanks for the quick response I think I'll go ahead and buy the cheap one, then document my results to avoid future mishaps for others
I might also map one of the keys to a number, as I think you need a passphrase for it to connect properly.
Hey, well since I didnt see a topic about wired controllers yet, I thought I would share my findings yesterday.
I just got in my USB OTG Adapter so when I got home, I tried my Logitech F310 controller on my Stock T-Mobile rom. Works great! (X-Input mode) I was actually navigating the entire screen with my controller, using Circle button to exit out etc. Was very plug and play! Best part, Emulators worked 100% for the key bindings to it! So wanted to pass this info on to anyone else who was wondering about "Wired" option. Since I know we can do Wii controllers, PS3 ones and so. Cept.. I dont WANT to resync or change batteries out all the time.
Now I had seen this on the market too. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.poke64738.usbjoy&hl=en
Its about 5$ but not sure why I would use this if built in all works fine?
I did notice tho the USB port gets a lil warm after awhile of using it. (Since its powering yoru USB device it seems)
Now I did try the gamepad in minecraft. Some buttons work for opening menu, or "digging" however cant seem to make the movement work. So I may try to hit up Notch to allow keybinding options.
In my emulators tho, You set the D-Pad up for that, however a bonus.. analog stick works too for movement without setting anything up! Was playing Arcus Odyssey on Sega last night with the anlog stick heh.
Now I wonder.. if I use a mini usb "Y" adapter so I can have it plugged into the power source and my controller at the same time. That should work right? (This way I can keep it in my Dock, charging it while playing with the controller)
Sixaxis is better and cheaper.

But youd have to resync to PS3 or Tablet each time. Which is what I find annoying. Then till I get the 50$ Universal BT Onlive Controller (Which seems sweet and can dedicate it to android use) The wired option is nice. =)
Hi, I've got a V500 which I installed infecteds cm11 build, I've since bought an OTG cable and tried to plug in my 360 controller, but I'm having some issues, I downloaded a gamepad testing app and it seems like the button presses are registering, but it's not registering the releases. Is anyone else having this issue or could it just be my cable/controller/tablet?
I just tried with a brand new wireless 360 controller with the adapter and with that controller only the right bumper sticks. This seems like a really strange issue. Is there anyway I can find out what's causing it?
Hi chris
Nice to see I'm not alone with this issue as well.
As far as I've tested, whenever we press the A,B,X,Y,R1,L1 buttons they don't register the releases.
I've tried many different things, such as changing the keyboard layout for the controllers, and even making my own. Not successful though.
Well, I've managed to "bypass" this problem by configuring the gamepad keys on the games (the ones that we can configure, of course) to don't use these buttons I listed.
I changed the A,B,X,Y to the right analog stick, and the R1,L1 buttons to the R2,L2 Triggers (which are analogic).
Then the controller may work flawlessly.
Nice to know I'm not the only one to experience this issue. Weirdly I can use my 360 controller to navigate around the android interface, but struggle to get it to do anything when it comes to using it in game.
has anyone managed to get this to work?
I've tried the same cable with the same pad on my nexus 5 and it works perfectly, so there is something wrong with the USB driver.
All I want to do is play ps1 games on my tablet.
So I bought myself today an otg cable to use it for some video game playing on my LG G3. I use a dongle to connect my (very) old PS1 controller to my phone. But when I want to play sth like Asphalt 8 or Modern Combat 5 nearly all my buttons (except the D-pad and analogs) are treated as one and the same button. I thought it was the fault of the dongle or controller so I connected another controller and got the same problem. The controllers work fine on my pc but the default mapping is somehow crazy (even in my launcher all buttons are like the same). Keyboard and mouse work fine. And my android version is 5.0 v20f. Can someone please help me.
Thank you.
I've just got a Fire Box & a new 360 Xbox controller wireless with microsoft's official dongle (official microsoft NOT generic)
Could someone walk me through what you pressed & for how long to pair it?
The Fire TV Box doesn't see it when I try to pair it (just continually searches). But it does recognise it partially for navigating menus. It recognises inputs from the left joystick & d pad only, & the A & B button. The right joystick is dead.
Looks like it's working as intended for you:
Left stick + D-Pad is for scrolling
A = OK
B = Back
XBox Button = Home
Start = Menu
Right stick has not functionality in the menus.
If that's working you don't have to pair it anywhere.
You can use it to navigate. Using it in any Emulator or Game App should also work Out-Of-The-Box now. Just use the controller button assignment in those apps.
I have a generic receiver but when that's already working fine it should be ok with the original.
Oh btw: The controller keeps blinking for me but it still works. Even for 2 controllers on the one receiver.

Oh thanks for that I feel really dumb now. I only ever gamed on my PC with a keyboard & mouse last time I used a controller was when I was a kid.
What do you do when you run out of buttons & triggers for a game? I'm playing Dead Trigger 2 & I don't have enough buttons & it makes you program them in yourself. There is no default.
I don't even know which buttons/triggers etc I should program in for what function. I know it would vary by person & game but I imagine there is probably a basic commonality to the way people decide which buttons to use for what.
Yeah the blinking is annoying but everyone gets that apparently.
