Mobile Site - About xda-developers.com

I searched this thread for anything that dealt with this site being a mobile site, but it came up with nothing. Is there one? I like to get on the net with my phone, and this site is very informing. Even with Opera on my phone its kinda slow loading on 3G. But my question is, is there one? or one in the works? was there an idea of one? thanks.

Perhaps there is no mobile site because a lot of users like me can chek this normal site on their devices and no need for a mobile special one.
I can check it very nice in opera 9.5 (Of course my big screen allow me to)
Even with GPRS and no 3G
Cheers mate,

There is indeed a Mobile XDA. You can find it here.

Rapidshare

Please disregard, I just read the thread about the legal issues.
I first wish to thank you all for maintaining this site and freely sharing your updates, experience, and knowledge. This site is a God-Send.
I amposting since I have one question, and not sure where the issue lies, Has anyone else experienced problems downloading form the Rapidshare sites? I get an error about exceeding the allowed downloads but I have'nt downloaded yet. I am thinking maybe something in my IE 7 or another security setting?
Any ideas woudl be helpful since I cannot wait to get to WM6.
Thanks,,,,

Well maybe your connected to the internet using a proxy. and as free user u only can download one file every hour. if you are using a proxy, everybody, who's using this proxy too, blocks you. but its just a suggestion from me.
alternate you can restart your router and try again. this is also a trick to download more than one file in an hour, because you get a new ip.
I had the same issues with rapidshare.
But since the FTP was stripped and most new roms are released through it I have paid for a premium subscription.
It works 100%
And if you know where to look there are loads of other cool software available on rapidshare.

Web proxys on the Dash

I've been trying this for a few days now and i cant seem to find a webproxy that works with the dash and opera mini. I'd like to use it to go to cnn.com and a few other location based sites. It just doesn't help that operas servers are in Norway.... i think.
So does anyone know one that would work?
I had the same problem but it just recently got resolved. Keep your T-Zones Proxy hack the same and just download the 1st Jbed link on post #13 in this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=427100&page=2
Or just follow the instructions below in my link.

No, i think i explained it wrong. I have the full internet plan. what i want to do is to trick the websites i visit in to thinking I'm located in the US. The data in opera mini is sent to the servers in Norway, then sent to what ever site you are visiting. Since the data is coming from Norway it thinks your a Norwegian visitor. I want to use a proxy that is based in America to sent the site to, so it tricks the server to think the data is coming from America.
Speaking along those lines, has anyone been able to make opera mini to be recognized as a desktop browser? There are a few sites that still call opera mini a mobile browser (even though it technically is.)

Adverts "pulling" page downwards

Have noticed this for the last few days using IE6 at work.
When reading the forums the page jumps to the Google Ad at the bottom, which means I have to scroll back up to the where I was.
Anyone else noticing this with IE6 or other browsers?

Nope only happens on this site. Think it's linked to the new type of Google ad which www.Swoopo.co.uk are running.
I can confirm this too, IE 7 Windows XP SP2, thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=396922

Funny, just to check, just tried IE 7.0.5730.11, did not happen for me!
Very funny! Tried Dave's Link, did not happen for me this time also, I don't know could be because of slow internet connection, Prehistoric PC (P4 2.0 Gig )! No idea! But funny all the same, and thank GOD!

Still happening to me
Dave
Pretty sure it the one ad which is doing it, I've tried to contact Google to see if they can sort it out. The other option is for the Google Ad Admin of the site to block ads from www.Swoopo.co.uk
Guessing for those outside of the UK won't have the issue as Google change the ads depending on which country you are in.

That must be the reason! Both you guys are from UK. And actually we have ads on top of the page (big bum me !) unlike yours (bottom of page)
all ok here
im having no problems here in birmingham @ home and work is fine
Firefox 3.0.5 and IE 6/7/8 beta are all working OK here is the US.
Add'l Info:
Tested on Vista Utimate x64 SP1 and XP SP2.
This is driving me mad, clicking on the link for the newest post just doesn't work with these ads as it moves the page.
Can anyone who has the Google Adsense admin add www.Swoopo.co.uk to the blacklist.

I'm looking for HTC software (with windows mobile 6) that seems to be like 'stocks' (popular real time stock quotes monitor available to Iphone). Anyone knows anything like that? I need to monitor Brazilian Bovespa stock market index.
Thanks.

Did you even bother searching before you made this thread? or were you hoping for someone to just hand you what you're looking for? Is not that hard and it took me about 30 seconds to find some info on your app, by just using google . Start here. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...or+windows+mobile&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&oq=

Yes, I tried search, before post this thread, i've found many softwares for pocketpc, who didn't work with htc excalibur.
I'm looking for freeware stock software, who works with HTC Excalibur (Windows Mobile 6).
I think maybe anyone in this forum, already have the same issue, and can help.
That would not be the objective of this forum?
Thanks Anyway
