Activesync problem with TD2 keyboard (Savage25rcracer_TD2_Full.cab)

Facing Activesync "0x80004005" error code for the following 2 ROM right after installing new TD2 keyboard, "Savage25rcracer_TD2_Full.cab" in particular.
- MORNA 1.8
- PDACornerIllusion 21139 v2
Came across few thread that mentioned problem on ActiveSync. Not sure if this installer for the TD2 keyboard is the culprit that's causing those new cooked ROM having this issue.
Weird enough, the AcitiveSync is back to normal right after I uninstall the keyboard.
Too bad the "full keyboard" no longer working even after uninstalling the TD2 keyboard. Here comes another hard reset

I have the same problem, well I don't have the error code since I hard reset it but I got Failed sync. I thought it was the cooked ROM that I just installed but now I'm thinking it was the same keyboard that I installed.

I found one article from web to uncheck all sync item, but only tick the "contacts" to sync. That also failed with the same error code. I meant, doubt untick "task" option for my case will resolve the issue.

Ah I see, deselect Tasks in Active sync options. I've already hard reset but I too am doubtful that it would solve it. I'm going to try the keyboard with arrows, hopefully that doesn't have the same problem. I really like the Diamond2 keyboard, I hope I don't have to go back to the old one.

[Q] Contacts Confusion?

Hi guys,
I would to ask one thing.
I own a HTC One X. When I press the phone button and search a contact through SMART DIAL, my contacts appear 2 times, from my phone and from my SIM.
I don't mean the people section, there i manage to have my contacts once through people > phonebook and selected what i wanted.
I mean the SMART DIAL section. There, I have all of my contacts twice.
What can I do in order to appear only once?
I'm attaching a screenshot to understand exactly my issue.

Easy way: Use GODialer from market HERE
Harder (what i did): download Wondershare MobileGO HERE and edit it (dont forget to downloade MobileGO to your phone too HERE)
And you can try to hit the thanks button

Or I will just delete my sim contacts

Just remove contacts from sim?

go into your contacts settings and deselect the ones you dont want the phone to display, ie, sim, google, etc.

wow what an answers are given....
just do what graemeg said goto settings deselect sim contacs..
I would advise ( if u have np with google )
to save all the contacts to google, Easy to edit on your pc and always available

+1 to what graemeg said above. I too had this issue and deselected the source of duplication (phone in my case).

my galaxy wonder ....when i open contact and search for names it stops scrolling and call order but still i can write letters in search then i get out and comeback again to contacts and search it works fine even scrolling or calling ... could u plz explain the reason of this problem

I don't get it.. Do you mean you experience lags when searching in contacts?

i mean when i entered contact list and i start searching for certain name by typing letters it appears in contact list then i tap on it to dial the number it does not respond or scroll

Might be lagging. Try maintaining your contact list via Google.com/contacts
Remove unused contacts so that it responds and loads faster

i tried to delete all contacts and import it again from my pc then used importcontacts.apk but the same problem ..... could u explain how to maintain my contact list via Google.com/contacts.
my main concern is the problem i am facing a hardware problem or software????

Sync your contacts via Settings -> accounts -> your google account -> click on the right button of each item
Delete your google account from your device
Open google.com/contacts and delete unused or double contacts
Re add your google account
For the usage of Google Contacts.. you might want to Google about it

it just the contacts, load much data that causing lag.. if you clear your contact, what happened? try.. if there's no lag, why we made a wrong hypotesis that is the hardware problem.. so I said, IMPOSSIBLE if it's hardware problem..
if you don't understand, don't forget to use "Google Translate"

Well I don't know if this helps or not but I occasionally get lag when calling in CM9 but it occasionally happens although it doesn't happen often so i'm not sure if its such a big problem or not.

Easy explanation if contacts aint the only slow app...LAG...LAG...and more LAG! Its already said...its isnt hardware or software problem if it dosnt fc. Even happens to me with another one of my devices. Brand spanking new, quad core phone...and it still lags everyday...thats your proof that it isnt a problem.

hi friends. i have a problem. i use g3 f400s. i choose delivery reports and default alphabet in message settings but missing these settings when turn off phone. i am sorry bad english.

So you're saying that you enable Delivery reports and choose Default Alphabet for Character Encoding and then they get disabled automatically once you restart your phone? Does this happen for any other settings like say for example "Notifications > Preview" as well?

yes but doesnt this happen for any other settings. only delivery reports and default alphabet.

That is really strange. No issues with D855 here. Which build number are you on btw?

Do the settings stick till you switch the phone off? I mean does the Delivery Reports setting stay enabled when you press back and then open the same menu again?
Did you try clearing the data for the Messaging app from Settings? If you are rooted try replacing the apk from the system/app or system/priv-app folder with a different one.

yes i cleared the data, hard reset and upgraded / updowned. result is the same.

I have the same problem, in my device there's no need to restart the phone, while I'm working with it after a while delivery report settings resets! Also this problem occurs in my LG Keyboard settings! when I add two languages to it, after a while one of them disapears!

Frustrating

Is there any way to report the problem to the LG?

I've found the reason of this problem in my device! The problem was my old MTN Sim card when I replaced it with another operator sim card the problem did't occur again. I think there was a problem with the sim card toolkit. I've seen such problem on other devices like Galaxy S3 and etc.

[OB21] Parallel Whatsapp - no contacts on 2nd SIM account?

Just tried out the new parallel apps feature from ob21.
But with the new account from the second SIM i dont have any of the contacts from my phone.
Anyone got a solution for that?

Did you try to give permision to access contacts in the second instanse of the app ?

May be the feature is still under development
When i try to view system contacts it pops up the error given in the attached screenshot ....

I guess we have to wait for a fix then from oneplus.
If someone finds a workaround pls let us know here.
Still this is a great feature one plus added, once its fully working it will be awesome.

I figured it out.
Easiest method I found is going to the Parallel Whatsapp -> Settings -> Contacts -> Show all Contacts
This forces a refresh on Parallel Whatsapp.
You don't have to toggle back to check mark. just pressing it will refresh the contact list.

the thread is from august dude xD the problem is long fixed with following betas.

I have the 5T latest update 4.7.6 still has this issue

Go into where you have your contacts stored whether it's on phone or email, edit the contact number and place the area code before the number example 1 555 then number. It work for me. Go back to whatsapp and refresh contacts.

GUYS PROBLEM SOLVED
go to settings of the phone and follow the below steps
advanced features ---> dual messenger ---> scroll down to find the "USE SEPERATE CONTACT LIST"...switch the setting off for it --->go back to whatsapp and refresh the contact list
