Today I have flashed a WM6.1 ROM Ervirus 3.07.
With Lasagna the sms and the mms are separed.
With Ervirus 3.07 the sms and mms are mixed in a unique account.
Before flashing Ervirus 3.07 I have backuped my sms and mms messages with SPB Backup and with PIM Backup.
After flashing I have tried to restore my messages. SMS are restored correctly, MMS aren't restored because the MMS account does'nt exist.

You did a restore after upgrading your XDA! You should do a hard reset and reinstall everything from the beggining! That happened with a friends PDA2k after upgrading it to the newer ROM and restoring his old backup!
This can also happen if you used Sprite Backup with a version less than 3.
I had this problem when I did a restore with Sprite Backup 2.
You can download this file which will restore your SMS folders back to working order. You will lose ALL your SMS messages but you will be able to receive them again.

That happened with Sprite Backup version 3 in my friends case!
Hello Everyone, I have an HTC Vogue for Verizon and I recently flashed nfsfan's 6.5 rom v16
I tried to use his MMS cab but i couldn't "Import provisioning XML" because advanced config would always freeze when i went to the "windows" folder
So I then tried the GC VZW Arcsoft MMS 5.0.70.24 cab using the method found in the FAQ
This worked but Now I can only mms messages and not recieve any
in all my tests to receive, nothing happened. It doesnt give any notification or anything as if a message weren't even sent
Does anyone know what the problem may be and how it can be fixed?
Thanks in Advance for Any Help
I ran into the same problem recently here is what i did to fix.
you might want to reflash the rom, do a hard reset, then follow all the mms settings lised in cody's thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=508544
using the dcd Verizon Carrier 20090831 and GC VZW Arcsoft MMS 5.0.70.24 make sure your Provisioning is correct as well.
Also, in the server setting, make sure connect is via Internet and not Verizon.
I've been having problems getting MMS to work properly with custom roms. I can receive MMS messages, but when I send, the person receiving my mms gets a "unsupported media type" error. The other person has a completely stock (not rooted) HTC Desire as well.
I had Cyanogen 6.1 installed, mms didn't send properly. Installed Oxygen 2.0 RC2, mms still didn't work. Installed a stock HTC sense rom, no mms still.
However, I believe MMS worked with ChompSMS and Cyanogen 6.1.
I used a RUU exe to completely return my phone back to it's original stock condition and mms worked perfectly.
Then I installed APN backup and restore to backup my APN settings, rooted my phone again, installed Oxygen 2.0 RC2, deleted the existing APN settings that came with the rom and restored my backed up APN settings. Sending MMS messages doesn't work once again.
I wiped data/caches between each rom installation and I've compared APN settings to another HTC Desire on the same network (Telus)
Can anyone help?
I have Oxygen 2.0 RC2 installed again and ChompSMS works sending and receiving mms. The stock Messaging app does not.
I'm having trouble transferring my sms / mms messages from my HTC One_M8 to my 10. I'm running ViperOne on both phones. However the m8 is on an older android platform. I've tried creating the update.zip and flashing in recovery and that doesn't work. I've also tried restoring it thru the app with no success. I used sms pro to restore the sms messages for now. Its not a big deal deal but I'd like to have my mms messages.
TIA
I had similar issues with TB restoring sms/mms a while back. I still use it for apps, but I switched to MyBackup for sms/mms and was able to restore from my m8 without any issues.
Anyone try to restore MMS from another Android phone?
I use SMS Backup and Restore to backup and restore SMS and MMS on my 6P whenever I do a factory reset. It has always worked in Marshmallow and 7.0. I am running 7.1 beta on the 6P and I used the cable to transfer the data to the Pixel. It offered to copy SMS, and it did, but it didn't include MMS.
So I went to my trusty app and backed up all my SMS and MMS and then transferred the xml to the Pixel, where I deleted all the messages and restored the newly created XML with SMS and MMS. Again, I only have SMS on the Pixel. This sounds like a 7.1 problem, and it could certainly be an incompatibility with SMS Backup and Restore, but wanted to see if anyone has been successful with this.
Did you have any luck with this. I am also trying to restore my MMS and have had no luck when I use SMS backup and restore my messages are completely out of order
I finally got an answer from the developer after a long time, and they suggested I try the restore again. I did and it appears to have worked. I was worried I would have duplicate messages, but the app inserted the MMS content in the right place without messing with the SMS.
I don't know why it didn't work the first time. Not sure why your result was different and it was out of order though.
