I currently use the HTC Home Plug and am loolking for something else, anyone have some examples of clocks they use on their homescreens? I would like to see them and please post the cabs if you have them. I would prefer a nice Digital like the Home Plugin but without all the tabs and stuff. thanks.
Cheers!!!
I am using the Samsung clock...for the same reasons you are looking for an alternative to HTC Home. This one can be customized in a few ways - black digital, white digital, analog etc. Here's the cab if you want to check it out...
Cheers.
I really like Samsung Time's look on Today but it does seem to slow my Hermes down apppreciably. Someone on here mentioned it having a memory leak but I don't know if that's true.
I tried rlToday but it's more than I need tbh, I was just after a clock really.
There are a lot of freeware Today clocks all over t'internet though. Anyone have one they want to sing the praises of?
you can get a lot of ideas from THIS THREAD. There are some really nice home screens there and I'm sure the members would be more than happy to answer any questions you have about the apps they're using. If you're willing to purchase an app, check out Spb Pocket Plus 4, Spb Mobile Shell, and actually almost all Spb Apps. Good Luck
samsung clock
I installed the samsung clock
but how do you make it a 12 hour clock instead of a 24 hour one?
Is there a good replacement for viewing all your applications?
I like the iphone style where applications are sorted by category. I also like how you can change category with kinetic finger sideways flicks.
If you're looking for the Iphone interface you should check out Mallmans WAD2 (Wisbar Advance Desktop by Lakeridge) Iphone theme found at his site www.swampthing.net.
Also you should check out Winterface by Vito. There is a thread here at XDA called - Make your HD completely finger-friendly! - Maati has a video of what his setup looks like and how it performs on his HD.
Hope this helps
Winterface looks kinda like what I want. Except it replaces touch flo I think. I would ideally like to keep touch flo going and have multiple application tabs! I don't think thats going to happen tho.

Right. TouchFlo 3D will have to be set aside if you want to use Winterface. TouchFlo doesn't integrate very well yet with other today plugins.
I found another option. it has categories which you side swipe.
its called TouchLaunch There is a delta version which seems to have some extra functions to modify the scroll speed on about pg 22.
you need to install the modified diamond wvga skin by aussiebum which you install over azimuth21s diamond skin from the first page for it to work
Someone got M2D App launcher working on their hd, its not quite right but it looks exactly what i'm after... unfortunately i couldn't figure out how to get it working.
Hi
Touch Flo is nice to have, but my customized Today Screen from my TYTNII was much mor usefull. For Example my Calendat Plugin was relly better.
Is there a possibility to get "old" Today Plugins get working together with Touch Flo?
I don't know about working in conjunction with TF3D, but you can go to Settings, Personal, Today, Items tab and turn off Touch Flo. That will get you back to the standard WinMo Today screen, which should let you use whatever plugins you used to use.
thank you, i know about disabling touch flo, but that is not what i want.
i don't want to loose the nice features from touch flo, i just need a today screen which tells me readable appointments and tasks. touch flo is too small and there are no tasks.
You could try MTP. It puts a tab into TouchFlo that can be used for Today-Screen-Plugins.

Is it possible to get the weather app that the leo comes with, for the tp2, I am talking about the home screen, under the time of day, there is a widget with the current weather, and it auto updates to what ever city your in. reminds me of the Weather Eye app that was available for Black Berry.
I think this is coming with the Oct 6th WinMo6.5 release for the TP2. Manila 2.5/2.6 can't be run on WinMo6.1 (according to some reviews I've read/watched). Currently we're on Manila 2.1.
Try this.

i would like to know if theres a cooked rom that will allow you to have 3d touchflow just like the touch pro 2 does or maybe something similar as long as you can just slide your finger to get to the other tabs. im pretty sure its possible because when your in the contacts theres a feature thats very similar and the works the same way.
Dude... TouchFlo 3D is so last year. Not to mention, Sense is basically TouchFlo evolved. By this time next year, all HTC devices will probably employ some form of Sense.

HTC 's Sense UI _is_ TouchFlo... check in Settings > Applications > Manage applications > scroll down to Touchflo and check it yourself.
gezz thanks.......
Direct answer to your question:
No, TouchFlo 3D as in the HTC Windows applications can not be placed or hacked into Android phones. People would have to write a home-screen program from scratch that imitates / clones Touchflo3D (Manila) but it can't simply be placed on a phone to work, even with huge amounts of hacking and fiddling.
2nd: Why would you want to?!?! First, you can already swipe to the different screens. If you like Manila that much, layout your 7 homescreens so that they do the same as Manila. With the screen-filling HTC Mail widget, Messaging widget, bookmarks widget and Google-search widget.
3rd: The fact that some elements of the SenseUI look like TouchFlo (the bars at the bottom of the Album and the People program for example), doesn't mean you can easily but the same elements on your homescreen.
Write a program that does it, and find out how much work it is .
