HTC ROM on Tmobile Dash

I plan to switch to HTC ROM after I unlock my phone thru imei.. folks.
I plan to use the following files HTC_S620_WWE_1.27.405.1_4.1.13.44_02.94.90_Ship for the ROM and RUU_Excalibur_SPL-1.11_UpgradeOnly for the bootloader.
Is this the latest/greatest ROM from HTC ?
Is it possible to switch back to the Tmobile ROM incase I need to ? Any special instructions for how to go about doing that ?
Thanks, . Appreciate all the help ..
U actually dont need to imei unlock ur phone, u can actually just use the excalibur update spl from jocky http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=329605 . After u do all of that stuff u can load any rom that compatible with the Dash/S620/S621. I have used this method and flashed my phone with the HTC ROM, and the Rogers radio and it is way faster than the t-mobile rom, and more reliable. The only thing is that you need to manually install office mobile if u want it on ur phone. U can switch back to the t-mobile rom if u dont like it the same way u switched to the htc rom. One thing to remember about the HTC rom, is that u need to manually configure ur MMS settings, here a link for that http://tmobileuspublic.wdsglobal.com/mms?ispId=&mmsId=&wapId=&contractId=235&countryId=37&networkId=90&bearerId=5&phoneId=1426&manufacturerId=41&mobileNumber=&incomingServerId=. You also need to configure ur edge settings too, but u can do that with the same link i provided. Good luck, and im sure ull definitely like the HTC rom way better than the t-mobile rom
Unfortunately, the HTC rom is not as efficient as the T-Mobile one because it actually has multiple language packs. That's what I noticed. Right now, I am trying to find a way to rebuild ROM packages using BuildOS.exe and CreateOS.exe but no luck.

Thanks for the good info..
I have already got my phone unlocked thru imei_check.co.uk folks.
Do I still need to run the boot uploader or I can directly proceed to update the HTC ROM ? (HTC_S620_WWE_1.27.405.1_4.1.13.44_02.94.90_Ship ) ?
If I understand correctly, since i want to keep the option of reverting back to Tmobile ROM (for warranty reasons, in case I need it !), I need to use the boot loader you mentioned.. Please correct me if I am wrong
Thanks

I was succesfull in installing the above ROM, now when I go to Settings -> About .. I see the following "Windows Mobile 5.0 with Messaging and Security Feature Pack.."
Should'nt this say as Windows Mobile 6.0 ???
What am I missing here !!
Thanks
My mistake, I installed the 1.11.405 ROM which i think is wm5.
My copy of wm6 ROM 1.27.405.XXX is corrupt. Not sure from where I installed, if anyone is aware of some download area, appreciate if you could let me know .. Thanks
Ive got one problem with the HTC rom...
does anyone happen to know how to change the keypad to be US english? ive got the locale and language set to english (America) but if i go to use the (@) sign, ill get the english pound sign...or what ever its called.
also, i cant seem to access the windows folder from my pc any one know what i need to do to get it?
Use the search function to locate a file called eT9.Excalibur.0409.kmap
You may think to tinker this file. I installed the HTC ROM and observed that the '@" was being replaced by the pound currency symbol.
I eventually switched to Rogers ROM (downloaded from Rogers website) and all is fine now.
Thanks !
Search the forum for this info, it's been asked an answered previously.

Help...in Completing the Kraiser Effect!!!

Hey everyone first of all i would like to thank all of you for all the amazing info. you guys really helped me with unlocking the phone took me almost the hole day as was getting errors but now that's set......the help i need is in firstly answering certain questions .......
1).....Is it true that if I flash my Rom again I dont have to worry about it getting locked again.
2).....When BootLoader Mode shows SPL-1.0 OliPof means I am ready to flash any Rom right? Or should I go through CID unlock.
3).....If I flash my Tilt with an HTC Rom will I still see all those ATT Logo and 3G Splash screen and will I have all those useless ATT software.
4).....If something does go wrong or I dont like the new Rom can I flash back; the reason I ask is because some said that you couldnt. Are there a lot of issues using an OFFICIAL HTC ROM... or have they all been fixed.
5).....Has the Keyboard Issue been fixed yet for the HTC Rom or not.
Thanks,

How to get Touch Pro 2 back to factory ROM?

Hi, recently flashed my Touch Pro 2, about to sell it and need to have it flashed back to the factory ROM. Does anyone know where I can find the ROM file and then the steps of doing this? Im trying to sell it and want to put it back to stock. Any help is appreciated, and yes I tried a search, sorry if I did miss something.
Thanks
Mike

how about HSPL? do i put the stock on back? and how
Dude there are entire threads dedicated to how to HardSPL and put it back to stock. Additionally, there is an official download from HTC's website that is the factory installed AT&T ROM. Read the very first page of the HardSPL thread. It has links to what you need to return to stock.
Alternatively, why not just sell the phone with a better ROM on it to begin with?
The phone is T-Mobile not AT&T and also some people dont want to buy a phone that has been messed with and can tell the difference in the stock ROM and a custom one.

If you are selling ebay all you need to do is be sure and clearly indicate how the phone is set up. Also, you could advertise on the selling page that you can either leave the phone as is, or flash back to stock ROM - the buyer chooses. That way you may not have to flash back to stock.

Well what do you expect of XDA people? To offer you a repair service?
Just check if that problem matches your case, and if so, send it back to HTC!
THEY will help you.
Ok Ok, i just thinking about it, maybe is any .apk ? what can calibrate my keyboard or something else?
Question mate, i can send phone to T-Mobile in UK if i Load Custom Rom ? i not loosed warranty ???
Thanks
You have a chance that they will not accept the phone because it has custom firmware on it. (Or there has been tampered with)
Best thing is to make a backup of your files, texts, apps, etc. and load a stock ROM back on it by using the official RUU downgrade method.
That way the phone will be reset completely back to stock and they won't know that you had an custom ROM on it.

Alot of noobis question? i got M9 S-OFF rooted and i want to update to 6.0

Hey guys!
its been a long while, a year i guess.
last year when i bought the phone i S-OFF it and rooted it,
since then alot have been gone by my phone stayed the same since that day.
now i want to clean it all up and put a fresh marshmallow 6.0 android.
i start reading in the forum but i cant find the right thing for me.
i got few questions:
1. how do i know which model i have of the HTC (im pretty sure its ASIA but just to know to check those models).
2. i dont mind have the phone still root - by i rather to bring it back to normal with out the root and with the update 6.0 so what i need to do? i found 2 guides that i dont know if they are my soultion : first -> [GUIDE] Return your M9 (WWE) to 100% Stock - S-OFF REQUIRED which i thought to use make my phone 100%stock and then update normaly to the new 6.0.
and if not (i mean that i need to stay root because of i dont know) to use viper and this guide -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-m9/general/guide-t3301504
generally im sick of playing with android anymore, i just want my phone to be normal and get all those updates that i missed since last year that i rooted my phone.

Perform a Factory reset..
Backup any files you want to keep(music, apps, contacts, vids etc).,
***EDIT*** follow the guide in that link in your post on how to do the process step by step.
Otherwise For a complete stock default drvice/rom, just factory reset the phone..
Sent from Sony Xperia Z5 E6653
You can flash an unsigned zip to update as you are s-off.
If you want to go back to stock you need to follow flippy's thread in the general section.
You can get most if not all of your answers by reading a few threads. Getvar. That's your clue.
