Hi, my company has started to test NetMotion to syncronize our corporate emails with the HTC S621 (smartphone). I already own a TytnII (touch phone) and could not install the NetMotion CAB file into the TytnII, most probably because of the difference between the company's smartphone operating system and my Tytn's. Does someone have a tip on how to 'adapt' the NetMotion CAB so that it becomes installable in a TytnII touch phone, or has the touchphone version of NetMotion? Thanks a lot in advance!!

I have been using Mobility XE on my Tytn II quite happily. remember that the Tytn II is not a Smartphone, so do not use the Smartphone CAB for NetMotion Mobility. Use the standard NetMotion Mobility Windows Mobile CAB (it should be called something like nmc.WM.PocketPC.CAB ) and it should work just fine. Install it on the device and not the SD storage card

Hi Stef, thanks a lot for your reply. Indeed the CAB file I have is called nmc.SP50.Smartphone.CAB. Do you know how/where I could get the nmc.WM.PocketPC.CAB that you've mentioned? Thanks!

Your IT support people at headquarters should be abel to get you the CAB file - they have permissions to download the files

Unfortunately, Mininmo doesn't run on PDA2K. Does anybody here don't interesting in working Opera on our devices?
opera for smartphone works on my xda2 with wm5.0 due to the fact that ms is joining requirements of wm for smartphones and wm for ppc's (in order to express it in very simple words). under wm5.0 smartphone and ppc edition all programs should work on both platforms. usually the installer of a program detects the os where it is installed and obviously the smartphone installer accepts wm5.0

ps: btw, it does not only accept the installation, it even works perfectly (of course without touch screen support, because smartphones do not have one).

I've tried to install O2Plus tools (from Orbit Extended ROM - avaible in xda-developers ftp site) on my Artemis and the installation went well, but at the end a message appeared: "This program is designed for use in Orbit only" -- something like this. And then although I could see the O2 plugins among Today items, after choosing them nothing happened...
Since the Orbit and the Artemis have the same hardware I think O2 stuff doesn't harm Artemis and has some useful features that HTC lacks (profiles, last call indicator, etc.)
Would you, guys so kind to try to modify the cab file in order to make it usable in Artemis too?

Yes, I know. I have even downloaded one cab (O2 Plus ver. 2.3). But it's double size than the one I attached and - to tell the truth - I would have more confidence in the version that was made especially for Artemis (taken that Artemis = Orbit).
So, the kind request is still valid.

Can't believe MS have stopped putting MSN into their newer roms. The web version is rubbish. Damned if I'm paying for an applet I consider to be part of windows. Why don't I just buy my OS one module at a time so it doesn't work at all till I spend a coupla hundred quid?

Any idea how you uninstall this (pocketMSN) after installation? Its not appearing in add/remove programs?

I do not dare to use the Live Messenger because the mixup of the contacts...!
I believe the msn contact sync with your normal contact so they will be in my address book, synced to the exchange contact books at my work... *NO WAY*
no problems with my exchange server about contacts add sync
but i prefer pocketmsn

I think you mean the HTC P4350?.. If so, it has Pocket MSN with MSN Messenger installed.

Dude, are you sure Pocket MSN is not preinstalled on your device???.. Check Start > Programs first.
It's in the e-club section so you need to sign up.
I'm downloading now, i'll post feedback later today.

Trouble downloading?
Anyone else having trouble downloading? I signed into my e-club account, clicked on the phone software upgrade link, selected WWE and HTC Europe download site, then clicked the download button. After a few seconds, I got the usual Windows download dialog, I clicked save, selected a directory as usual, and then OK. So far it's still sitting there at 0% progress.
I downloaded the Office package from the previous thread in this link (of course, from a different site), so I know my network is working OK.
So is anyone else experiencing this? I've been patient up to today, and now chomping at the bit to get this downloaded and installed on my S620.

Yes, I thought mine was hung on the Windows Mobile screen, so I popped the battery and restarted. It did the same thing, so I waited it out. Eventually another configuration app kicked off and everything was good to go after that.

Does anybody use SPB Finance Fast Entry module on the blackstone.
Each time I tried to install it, the fast entry crash due to a "no skin" problem.
Didn't find anything on the spb support site and nobody seems to have found a solution

copy this file to your spb finance "default" folder it will work, but only in VGA. anyway u still can easily use the program, everything works fine some1 owes me a beer)

It works but I had to modify the registry. If like me you tried different skins before trying the file given by Salicho, you must delete the different item where skin and spb finance are used in registry. Except the default one, you must erase the other ones to prevent the program to try to use it.
Ask if it doesn't work, but it rocks in my hd

Sadly, SPB has dropped the finance development (and the forum) and it's support. It will not work on anything past WM6.1
