Hi vibranze , are you planing to build a WWE similar to original Asus one ?.
You know, for some ones like me, it is a bit difficult to build a custom rom, or even try to fill up your rom (or others roms builders) with the utilities that can work like Asus ones.

I didn't get what you mean. This ROM although is not based on official ROM but it is better than official one.
I didn't delete any utilities, all intact.

I've added sunglobe and ksphonetic fonts with necessary registry settings, as for IME, I'm using ZTA4 which I'm so used to it.

The instruction you can find it easily anywhere in this forum, look for Asus P525 thread and you will easily find it, that's why I don't bother to write it anymore.
- Copy ROMGalaxy.NB0 to your SD Card
- Connect your unit to power
- Run Asus unlock lang id if you use other than English version of ROM before
- Press Camera button + poke soft reset hole
- Wait until the flashing is finished
- Press power off button + poke soft reset hole
- Follow on screen instruction

Well, what i mean is that games been removed, maybe mms program, etc,etc. And what i will like to have is a rom with the same funtions/programs like wm5

There is no problem with SIP for chinese, but since P525 has keyboard, would be good to be able to type from HW keyboard. There is Pinyin solution for T9 which i used before, but after switch to XT9 i've lost such ability...
In XT9 library i see "Pinyin" as possible choice, but I didn't see any smartphone for China equipped with XT9. If you will find any SP for China with XT9, please let me know.

No problem, sorg. I read upcoming P750 will be equipped with XTA9 so most likely it have XTA9 with pinyin support.
I can type pinyin too from HW keyboard using ZTA4, that is why I like ZTA4 so much.
Btw, kind to share how to gain more storage as you did for your ROM?

Yes, I removed the games as I hardly play a games, you can install any other games anyway.
For MMS, I didn't remove it.

i saw, one guy on asusmobile claimed he almost finished utility for this

Thanks to Vibranze for coming up with this cooked ROM and giving my P525 a new life, the interface is really fast and I liked the utilities that come with it. However, I faced one big problem here, all my incoming calls seem to just end in 1 minute exactly. I am not sure what's the problem. Can anyone help me with this?

Hi mate
1st ever im trying to upgrade a P525. It's a russian language one. I runned unlock lang, shows language id = 0 . Copyed ROMGalaxy.NB0 to root of sd card and pressed camera button + soft reset. Nothing is happening, just doing normal soft reset. Am I doing something wrong ?

When trying to port XIP with Kaiser on Asus 535,
on the instructions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=379598 I did not get the program M'Reloc can not change values in filesys, nk.dll, and even in some ... what to do?
And so, even if they are not being done to change the system and loaded (OEM use from Asus (official 6,0), sys from Kaiser) ... but loaded with 10 percent of the system that is No settings nothing of the programs all 3 pieces, office nothing else) ..
Please help me do that?

I tried 624 version of last rom. Its loaded, restarted but some times homescreen comes and freezes, some times when booting it freezes. Now im downloading 520 version and reload rom.
Also you should to add to first post, how to load a rom for beginners. I cant find it requires new bootloader version or not need, etc.

Mode switcher key binded for task manager. Voice commander removed and binded for camera torch. You should make same with this rom i think.

it's the problem, winsdows 6.5 use more ram than windows 6.1,i can't do nothing

Mode Switch key also works for torch when pressed long.
There are a task manager app installed i see. I binded voice commander key to open task manager.

Chinese "HTC Diamond 2 T5353" problems.

I got chinese "HTC Diamond 2 T5353" with WM6.1 inside. This phone was with french language and I have tried to set up english msimru.dll. Because I had some mistakes, phone now cannot boot up and sleep on splash screen "HTC"
Who know how do hard reset of this phone? It seems like M88 or TM09 inside, have Nand OS.
Haves anybody english or russian language version of update.img for this phone?

Most of these devices have ROMs on chinese forums, You just need to know exact manufacturer and model number.

I found keys combination for hard reset.
For Your information (I think all chinese clones of T5353 haves this things) - press "send button"+"power button" together. After screen blink immediately press "send key" again (not release "power key"). You should see boot menu. Using volume keys select menu item and press "windows" key.

How i update this phone?

Have you tried asking the vendor for the English ROM to update the phone? I've also gotten one of these clones and the vendor gave me the Chinese ROM. He's supposed to get me an English ROM next week.
Meanwhile, I'd like to figure out what the format of that ROM image is so I can cook them myself. The way mine works is by putting a Flash.bin and Loader.bin file on the SD card and going to boot loader. Flash.bin seems to be the one that contains the OS image and everything. Good to see some more discussion on flashing these devices, I am also interested on putting new ROM's on my t5353 clone (maybe update to 6.5 OR put newer manilla/sense etc).
The problem we face is these clone phones are all slightly different from each other. Unlike the people in the sub forums for real HTC phones who all have one thing in similar - their phones have the exact same hardware. For us we need to identify the different types of clones. The best thing would be finding out how much different it is from the real HTC. Asking the vendor is also a good idea, as I believe they flash them before they send them out - so they must have ROM files.
Some people should group together and make a database of dumped ROM's from the most common clone devices (touch king, black diamond, t5355+, etc) and we can begin to anylise the ROM's in comparison to original stock copies of HTC models and see what modifications a clone requires to run the operating system.
I am going to be dumping my ROM from mine when I get it for backup / analysis reasons.

This is for a different model of the phone. My phone is the 5353 model with the Marvell PXA310 CPU and 800x480 resolution. I've got plenty of Chinese ROMs but still no English ROM for it...

the T5353 has a k3 hisilicon cpu, check with profilelevel.exe, I also have a chinese phone mfu w71 and looking for english WM6.5 rom.

ok guys ive been following this thread and i too have a clone t5353 phone. i downloaded the flash.bin and loader.bin files, have put them on my sd card but i cannot figure out how to install wm6.5. i have tried a number of combinations of buttons: return key + end key + power button brings me to a calibrating screen (hangs for a minute and shuts off), send key + windows key + power button brings me to a screen that gives me an error and says img file couldnt be found, send key + end key + power button shows me a downloading screen (hangs for a minute and shuts off). can anyone help me with flashing this rom i am desperate!

i figured everything out on how to flash my roms but now that i downloaded the flash.bin i cant install it because it says the file does not exist when i run bootloader. i have a chinese wm6.5 i am using now and everything is in chinese so i dont understand a word except the time please give me an english wm6.5 rom in .bin format that works! thank you

You need to have Flash.bin and Loader.bin on the SD card. Then (1) Turn off the phone, (2) while holding the "Hang-up" AND "Back" buttons, press and hold the power button. The phone will vibrate and go to a while screen with boot loader information. At least that's how it works on mine.
Still looking for an English 6.5 ROM though...

any know about russian rom for clone t5353?

Best would be to figure out how to build Flash.bin ourselves otherwise we'll always have to hope ROMs get posted on the Chinese web sites.
What I was hoping is to extract the OS image from an official HTC ROM (English, Russian, etc) and rebuild Flash.bin with it. So far what I have is:
Extracting the official HTC ROM
1. Download the exe from HTC or other site and extract the exe using 7-zip.
2. NBHExtract.exe RUU_signed.nbh
3. osnbtool -sp OS.nb
4. osnbtool -d OS.nb.OS.nb 1 xip.bin
5. osnbtool -d OS.nb.OS.nb 2 imgfs.bin
Now using the Chinese ROM, you can also do something similar:
1. osnbtool -sp flash.bin
2. osnbtool -sp flash.bin.BIN.NB0
3. osnbtool -d flash.bin.BIN.NB0.OS.NB 1 xip.bin
4. osnbtool -d flash.bin.BIN.NB0.OS.NB 2 imgfs.bin
But I'm now sure now, how to swap the OS part and rebuild Flash.bin. Some site talk about using osnbtool -2bin. Haven't figured it out yet. If someone knows about this, please chime in!

Asus Mypal A6x6 WM6.1 rom International Edition version 1 (7-6-10)

Yesterday, I decided to give making a non-English rom another try since I was off from work and had little to do. It turns out that with previous attempts, I had a bad file that was keeping the rom from booting. This, aside from perhaps one or two bug fix roms, is the only main release of WM6.1 that I am going to put out for international roms for the A6x6. And yes, non-English WM6.5 roms are in the works.
Thanks to Makuu (especially), Lenny, AstainHellbring, the creators of the tools I used to make this rom, and anyone else that I failed to mention in name who gave me the knowledge to complete this rom.
Asus Mypal A6x6 WM6.1 International Edition version 1
Windows CE version 5.2.21054 (Build 21054.1.6.7)
This was tested on an Asus Mypal A626 (and works). It should work with the A686/A696, but the other models were not tested. Any other models not metioned above WILL NOT WORK.

Instructions
Before you do anything, make sure you have at least a 256mb SD card and a card reader (you can get one at a place like Radio Shack or Office Depot). You also need to install Winrar (found at http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm). Your SD card must be formatted with the FAT16 file system.
To format your SD Card with the FAT16 file system
Step 1: To do this insert the SD Card into the reader and go to "My Computer".
Step 1a: BACKUP YOUR FILES before you start!!
Step 2: Right-click the drive letter of the SD Card reader (differs for each computer, probably either E:\ or F:\ or G:\) and click "Format".
Step 2a: Don't worry about any of the options except for file system, choose "FAT"
Step 3: Click "Start" and wait until it is done
Step 1: Get (OS) rom image
Step 2: Extract files to any folder on hard drive using Winrar
Step 3: Go to the folder where you extracted the files in the RAR archive
Step 4: Make sure that the filename is "CANNES_A_WM6.img"
Step 4a: if the img file it's not exactly "CANNES_A_WM6.img", rename it to that
Step 5: Format the SD card if you haven't already done so using the instructions above
Step 6: Copy the img file to the SD card, see step 6a
Step 6a: Make sure that the img file is the ONLY file on the SD card after formatting
Step 7: Take SD Card out of SD Card reader and put it in the a6x6
Step 8: Make sure that the a6x6 is plugged in via ac adapter before doing the next few steps
Step 9: activate SD Loader using the following instructions {
Step 9a: Hold down the power button and enter button (that's the button in the center of the d-pad)
Step 9b: Double tap the soft reset button while holding the other 2 buttons
Step 9c: After double tapping the soft reset button, keep the other 2 buttons held until a blue screen comes up that says something like Asus Cannes flashing utility
Step 9d: Wait until the process is finished (it's near the end when it says "writing private")

Step 10: At this point, your a6x6 should reboot on its own
Step 11: enjoy your updated rom

As I release new roms, if you have a support question, please give me the rom version so I know what rom you are working with. You can get the rom version from the filename of the rom pack.
Example: Asus_A626_WM614_1
A626 = device (most often it will be A626, will rarely be different), WM614 = os version, 1 = release #

Sweet! DLing German ROM now. Thanks a lot! Will replace Windows Mobile 6.5.3 with this one because I prefer the 6.1 look and feel on my A686.

German ROM is running very well and w/o any problems. BT, GPS, etc. it's all there. Thank you so much! Will donate you some beers via PayPal later.

I have a Hebrew version built and ready for testing (just as soon as I fix the partitions on my testing SD card; I'm also currently testing linux out for the A6x6, but things aren't going too well)

Yes, there are international versions of WM6.5. It's just that I haven't had time to build roms (I just started college). I should have time over the weekend to put out some test roms for WM6.5.

Update: just got my first international WM6.5 rom working; will upload soon once I find time in busy school schedule (language of rom is German)

Hi all! I am trying to install wm6.1 german (link on previous page) on my a636n with wm5 german lang. and i follow every single step like on prev. page and my asus stucks at asus heart of technology screen, i dont have ac charger by the way but battery is 70 % full. also i dont have the usb. i wouldnt do this if i could run newer apps on wm5 but... some advice please, (i cant buy nor ac charger nor usb for it).... greetings

If you do indeed have an Asus Mypal A636n, please save yourself the effort (and headache) of flashing my rom. I clearly state on the 1st post that this rom will NOT work on ANY models other than the Asus Mypal A626, Asus Mypal A686, or Asus Mypal A696. If you do try to flash it, YOU WILL BRICK YOUR DEVICE!!

hello,
i just tryed your version of 6.1 mobile french.
i found 2 big problem:
1-> i can't uninstall any program installed on the system it says it's not completly removed, but it's not removed at all!
2-> i can't go to "task manager" because it's launching "task manager" and close just in 1 second! i can't see what's running on my pda a696.
please let me know what can i do? how can i return to win6.0 if you haven't the solution.
