Hi there,
I currently visiting San Francisco and will only be here for 4 days. I lost my car charger back in London and would like to buy another one here in San Francisco. Does anyone now where I can pick up a car charger for my XDA IIi (staying near China town area). Need this really bad because we are driving down to LA and then onto vegas and I'm running Sat Nav on it.
Thanks
Ian

Can anyone reccomend a seller for cables etc. that ships from the east coast? I don't like waiting a week or more to take advantage of cheap shipping.
I used J&R out of New York (jr.com). Although seems anything coming from the East coast is delayed right now. A package that was supposed to be here today is currently still stuck in New Jersey because of all the storms.
You should check out monoprice.com. Super cheap cables, and shipping isn't bad either. I live in CA, so it may be different for you, but overnight shipping is cheaper than any other option for me.
My wife and I were having dinner in Chelsea last night and came across a Samsung Galaxy S3 tent on the corner of Little West 12th Street and 9th Avenue. One of the attendants called us over, informing us that we can win free GS3s and other prizes. Both my wife and I have GS3s, and the attendant asked us to pick out two blue plastic chips from a bowl designated for VIPs (current Samsung owners). The chips had NFC tags on them, which the attendant scanned with one of the GS3 demo models. Both my wife and I won $50 AMEX gift cards. Two other people won GS3s.
If any of you are in the area, take a walk over and try your luck!
Cool story bro....
No I'm just kidding that is pretty sweet. I wonder if they won like unlocked GSM ones or Verizon versions or how they did that.

No clue if the phones were unlocked or not. I was thrilled to death about winning the gift cards ($100 is a decent chunk of change), so the thought to ask about the phones didn't even cross my mind. It's always possible that the winners were given a choice of carrier.
That is pretty cool to just get a 100 bucks. It's crazy how much they have marketed this phone and also how popular the galaxy series has become.

what did the tent look like? there seems to be a portable trailer with the SGS3 logo on it sitting on Hermosa Beach Pier in CA today, but i saw it at 1am so it was closed. wonder if it's the same promo...
Something is happening in NYC next week... I got a free invite to this "Samsung Galaxy Event" for this coming Wednesday. I wonder if they're going to "officially" announce the new Galaxy Note or the Black SGSIII. Does anyone have any idea what this event might be for?

They have a similar set-up in Madison Square Park (south side, west of the Shake Shack). I only won a $20 AMC gift card, which buys me 1.5 movie tickets in NYC

They also had one of these at IDentity Festival in mountain view. Once again, prizes were either a $20 AMC card or a T-shirt and waterbottle :/

Hopefully this thread will not be useful for more than a week or two, but I thought it would be nice to see where phones are starting to arrive. If possible please try to keep replies to 1 line using this type of format.

Silver Spring, MD did not get a shipment yesterday, they're expecting theirs next Wednesday. (5/15).
Picked min up at:
Orlando, Florida, Millenia Mall Location, the only one around, $670 out the door (tax and all), got phone outright. Seemed they have quite a few from how the manager sounded.

Got mine in LA last week on the 8th. Only a few stores received them including the one south of Downtown on Figueroa Street near USC. They may or may not be out already. Other stores should get them this Wednesday.

How much cheaper is it at Costco? Are you talking about a non-contract price? Could I buy it and use it with a Tmobile prepaid plan?
Does anyone know of anywhere that does accessories for the nexus 7? Will be travelling around so can't order anything for delivery.
Does anyone know if best buy has completed their pre-orders and started stocking shelves yet? I got my pre-order on Oct. 17th but i cannot talk on the phone using the speakerphone because it distorts the sound and none can understand me. If been trying to exchange it (suggested by samsung) and none of the 3 best buy stores in Knoxville, TN has finished their pre-orders little along shelf stock. Does anyone know if any other stores have recieved shelf stock of white sprint GN4?
Same boat, no luck with Denver area BBs.
No stock here in Santa Barbara ca.
No stock by anyone in the whole state of Florida.
Eeeeeeee haaaaaaaaw! One hour ago bb 70 miles north of me got them in Stock. Sitting here doing the paperwork...
Drove at times 90 mph. Made it alive with a big smile.
