Hi guy
I had to take back my orange diamond in the week due to them screwing me over on a new connection.
My contract is about to end with tmobile, so do i go for the MDA or Get the Diamond
Does anyone know if the MDA will take the same Hard SPL and rom updates as the Diamond?
Thanks Kev
Should do , its technically the same phone although I have heard the keys are different but this was the same with the Polaris versions on o2 (XDA) so shouldn't be a problem .
I cant hand on heart say that there will be no problem though
I had no problem with HardSPL'in and flashing the MDAcIV...

Excellent deal. I will see if i can get one of those deals. It is perfect.
Yep on a 12month contract, i even tried to get it for free but they were having none of it. Even tried the leaving T-Mobile routine but that didn't work at all.
I should of asked for the free delivery but i forgot, oh well.
£286.00 for a £400-500 phone ain't bad at all in my opinion.

I called O2 and was told the release date had been put back to the 4th November and more suprisingly they have not got a price yet.
There will be no trade in or upgrade promo from teh XDA2
R
Allegedly, I was successful in ordering one yesterday (3rd) - I was charged £279 (based on my tariff/upgrade - it does vary depending on your tariff).
However, as they had 'problems with the computers' my GM order number has not yet arrived.....
I was also told he 4th, And i rang a few times, but no stock (of corse) my last call was at 4pm and i was then told its been put back until the 9th
John
Well - it is on the O2 online shop now for £249 +min £20 a month line rental. I have a friend in O2 so I am gonna see if there is a staff deal.
R
I called the local O2 shops - they are so crap!
The one that 2 days ago said it would be in on Friday now says they are not sue in until December. Another simply said they had heard nothing about it.....jesh!!! Neither of them could give me any idea of price...
R
O2 XDA IIs is available in Hong Kong now
ROADTRIIIIIP!!!
its also available in the philippines now. Im thinking of getting it, but im already using xda2. the landscape orientation for spreadsheets and other softwares may prove to be very useful, other than that, id say the built in wifi is a welcome edition, im not a fan of the qwerty keypad though.
i was wondering also ifthis unit can support blackberry as well
i3oyi3astos,
If you could, please run to the store to play with one and in the bluetooth settings please see if they are still using the 1.0000000000000 version or if they upgraded it.
Second could you see if they have the BlackBerry client on it???
Third, take your credit card and consider it a early birthday gift
Thank you VERY much as I'm hoping they updated these two in the XDAIIs.
its on the o2 uk site.........

Uplands Mobile
I have bought one sim free from Here they have been assured by O2 today that they will be the first in the UK to stock them and that delivery will be shipped next monday.
I personally can't wait until Tuesday, this is the first phone with everything i ever wanted in one device, i am ditching my Treo 600 and palm for this little baby.
Cheers

Ooooops!

Hi Richard,
I got my XDA II from Uplands last year and I can't fault them, so I'd be happy to get an XDA IIs from them as well, and their prices are certainly good!
Could you let us know when you get yours? I'll be interested to see when their stock starts to come through. Gonna call them now and ask about upgrades....
Edit: update on upgrades - I could have one, but it would cost me £285 cos I'm not a particularly heavy user.
Yeah uplands are good cant go wrong with them + they are very competitive in price. Stock will be due in on monday 15th nov.. cant wait!
12th Nov
I've just spoken to a few O2 shops in London area, they either tell me they have no idea when they're due or that 12th of November is release date and not to expect anything for at least 2 weeks after then :\
I've got 4 phones due an upgrade with an O2 reseller (unfortunately not direct with O2, corporate account with CarphoneWarehouse so will probably delay things further) - itching to get my hands on one!
Does anyone have any idea when this device will be available in the Netherlands? Through one of those mobile provider? (T-Mob, Orange, Telfort?) It seems that its out in UK and Germany and some places in US and other countries, but not yet here in NL, I've checked several stores and can't find convincing replies. I am keen to check this one out.
More delays
Just spoke to Uplands - they have said -
"Yes, O2 advised us yesterday that the release of
the handsets has been delayed again, and to expect delivery by around Monday of next week {15th Nov}. Unfortunately that means we cannot yet guarantee a delivery date"
Bumsticks :\
Please post any other shops that are selling the XDA IIs.
Uplands will not ship to a US customer!
I would love to get a XDA III, but getting it in a black version would be really cool.
Anyone know when they will be available directly from orange via their website? I would ideally like one on one of their online tarriff's with 250 free texts. Spoke to Orange on a couple of occassions last week but the sales rep had no idea!
Cheers
I got mine direct from orange 3 weeks ago.
Did you manage to get it with one of the on-line tarriff's or was it an upgrade?
Did you hpone Orange directly on their 0500 802080 website number? I've tried them on several occassions but they always say it not available yet and they don't know when it will be!
saw the M2000 in my local Orange Shop on saturday..... so it's definately out.
Mine was an upgrade tarriff. I called them asking for my PAK number and the retentions people bent over backwards to keep my. I ended up paying 90 quid for it and im on a 25/month tarriff.
I've slightly wobbly screen but Orange are going to swap the unit out for me
How kind
I bought this phone from uplands on the 30th Nov, on 400min new contract delivered next day after credit check, great service
At the time was told by orange it was not out on new contract can you beleave it.
I just ordered mine from Orange. Expected delivery is mid Jan.
They have given it to me FOC via the retention department.
If you have one, what software does it come with?
I got mine free , 500 mins £25.00 per month 120 txts..... I spend quite a bit a month and threatend to leave em.....cos my wifes fone V600moto kept dropping signal....
spv m2000
Hi I have called orange today Jan 14 05 they dont have any idea about getting stock of the m2000
I have also called onestopphone shop they are telling me that they have a delivery date on the 19th Jan for the phone as they have been updated on the software front ?
mobilestoyourdoor are also saying 19th Jan as delivery date ?
I have ordered a m2000 on a £50 tarrif from Onestopphoneshop for £9.99
Hope this helps?
Interesting - might be worth contacting onestop about my XdaIIs to see if they are getting updated ones in.
Probably not knowing O2 though.
just got to wait for my contract to run out, not for another 6 months or so then ill demand one on upgrade
I have just been on the O2 website (www.o2.co.uk) and the O2 exec is on there for £139.99. Out of curiosity, I selected the phone and chose the lowest tariff (online 50, 12 months £19.00).
Sure enough, at the checkout, the phone was still £139.99!
Is this right anyone? I had a look on the carphone warehouse site and for the same phone on the same tariff, we are talking nearly £400!
I paid double that for the XDA11s less than 12 months ago on the anytime 200!
This means that if you bought the phone, paid £19.00 per month for 12 months and used your existing sim card, the total cost of the phone would be £367.99!
Buy one quickly before they realize
It must be a mistake :!:
Yep, I bought mine yesterday and true enuf, the phone was £139.99. I chose to go for the 200 mins/750 texts bundle cuz I know I'm gonna use it all...
I also paid for next bloody day delivery (to be delivered before 12 today). I tried using the tracking numbers (yes, numbers. O2 Didn't even know what the second one was for...!) on the DHL site but they weren't recognised... A phone call to DHL later and the woman on the end said... "Oh, it's been sent to the Birmingham sorting office and not Milton Keynes. You won't get it 'til Monday now."
FFS
Thankfully O2 have refunded my delivery charge. Not the point tho, I wanted play play.
It's no mistake! Mine turned up this morning! Get them while they're hot!
Bloody hell! looks like its upgrade time
looks like its 139.99 if you sign up for the 18 MONTH contract.
i have a staff account, so ill wait til i can upgrade, and get it cheaper!! 8)
I selected 12 months contract and it was the same price
I'm thinking about getting the xda exec but I want to see pictures of people using it so I can see approximately how big it is, it might be too big for me to handle.

It is probably close to a wholesale price for O2
and they want to increase the number of subscribers by
all means to look good for the shareholders
at the end of this year.
Tells you a story what a ripoff
are the companies like T-Mob, who had increased
(!) the price of MDA Pro to 900 euro from 750 euro last week, for those
who don't want a subscription.

blue angel size 125x71x19 mm 210g
exec size 127.7 x 81 x 25mm 285g
Yes it is still available for the same price. I also thought it was a mistake.
I called online sales to order and i was told it was only available with the 35 pound 3G tarrif. So i ordered online for the 139 ponds with the 19 pound Online 50 12 Month Tarrif and recieved it next day. I told my friend and he got his this morning but the screen was cracked so a replacement is on its way.
Your free minutes can be used with Voice or Video Calls and after the free stuff video calls are the same rate as voice calls.
It is 10mm wider than the XDAII and a few mill thicker but it does feal resonable but i have big hands. But i really love the keypad and i can thumb type as fast as i can type on a normal keyboard.
The voice dialing over blutooth works great so in most case there no need to even remove it from my pocket when making and recieving calls.
And not simlocked either
Got mine yesterday for 149 in the O2 shop with a 200 tariff doubled for six months - great bit of kit but still getting used to it, at the price I cannot understand what they are doing, the IIs is a good unit (and I will continue to use it) but the Exec far out shines the capability of the less equipped devices - Mike

they say it can take up to 28 days.

Mine costed 100 Euro

Hi all, i just ordered mine yesterday, i was crying when i found out it was 28 days but since u got yours in 2 weeks, i don't feel so bad, i need to use my phone bad!!! Has anyone gotten theirs quicker?
Hello,
I got mine within 3 days and I paid £15.
wow
3 days? thats better, mine is through T-mobile UK, so i hope it is quick also.
the german T-Mobile sent it by email next day after I've sent the fax with the invoice.
Seems like the wait is over. The UK site of expansys has it announced for next week. Hope to see it in other locations soon.
Victor
yup saw it on the website http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=HTC _P3600
selling for £429.95, abt singapore $1300.00
No was refering to Artemis
Ok, but I was refering to Artemis. This is its forum.
Link is here http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=P3300_DELUXE
oops forgot to change the link when i edit the post just now sorry!!!
yeah tempted to get this or the p3600 htc trinity...
I am not a fan of Expensis prices...Artemis by HTC is 383 GBP in Germany, including 16% tax. Price differences for Tytn and Trinity are much higher, especially once the product is available from one of the German networks, under their own brand, sans contract of course...
T-Mobile UK
I've just ordered an MDA Compact III from T-mobile UK on a upgrade, it should be coming tomorrow
how much in total did u pay for the MDA Compact III?

On the upgrade it cost me about £60
u mean £60 for the upgrade or for the device plus upgrade?!
@lmf_slacker: In Europe operators give away mobile phones almost for free, or free, if one extends his contract or signs a new one, usually for 24 months. Therefore an Artemis can cost only 60 pounds.
Lucas> wow ok, seems like Singapore should pratice too!!! haha... thanks for the info, £60 is like such a dream price for me haha...
