English WWE in stead of French? - HTC Excalibur

Hi,
I was wondering if i could replace the french rom on the HTC S620 with the English WWE rom. I have read several topics about many things but i still dont know if its possible.

i dont see why you couldnt. should be able to just flash it with the english version if im not mistaken.

I know that i cant put an english rom over my French rom with my IPAQ 1710 cause it sais language error and i didnt succeed so far and now i have found an offer HTC S620 French, but my French isnt that good, so i need to be sure that i can flash it into another language.

interesting. i would just assume since you are wiping off the old rom and loading the new one, it wouldnt matter what language it was, or is going to be.
you might want to search around here (search buttons at the top of this page) and see if you can find any info. that will keep you busy til someone that actually knows (which usually isnt me) gives an opinion.

I have opened the RUU_signed.nbh file and i see at the start ENG, if i change this into FRA would it accept the rom? I just found out how i can change on my RZ1710, i have read a topic here on the forum. But with the HTC S620 rom i can only find one file with a language mentioned.
So basicly if i change the ENG in FRA the program would think it is upgrading a french version is this correct?

HELP, change german to english

looking for help to change my xda orbit from the german rom to the english rom
Have a look at the Moile6 pages. I had a similar problem, my HTC came from Russia.
Read the stickies. Always flash with USPL first. Then choose a ROM. I have got Tom's B&B4.3 at the moment. It's really good.
I figured I couldn't use my Artemis in russian so if I bricked it then no loss!!!!

Not sure i understand your question.
If you want to have an english (WWE) rom on your tytn, this is easy. I do that on a french tytn. All will be in english (wording, soft keyboard,...) except the hardware keyboard where, obviously, you will not be able to change the physical labeling of the keys.
If this is what you want, and if you never flashed roms on pda's, READ, read, and... read. You need absolutely to understand what you will do. It is really easy IF you know what to do. Look for mrvanx guides. (here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=299462) And once again : read.
Install first the olipro SPL 2.10 to reasonnably protect your tytn (also explained in the guides). Then choose the WWE rom you believe will answer your needs.
And never forget that you are the only who decide to do it
It´s easy - unlock your tytn and than flash any english ROM from here - with non providershi..

IICRC...If you get a brand new dash in a box from Tmo right now, it comes with .6. The only thing they have on the website tho' is .4 which is the first Tmo WM6 rom. According to a Tmo tech, .6 was a stability update, and some tweaks to T-Zones, with the same feature set.
multi-lingual WM 6.0 HTC ROM - no carrier brandinG

HTC just added support for registering it's devices assembled in Brasil on it's brasilian website, so I did it and downloaded a wm 6.0 ROM with support for Portuguese as the system language.

It's a "generic" multilingual ROM, not just portuguese as before stated.
NEW UPDATE: ACTUALLY I FLASHED MY PHONE WITH IT TODAY AND IT HAS THE FOLLOWING LANGUAGES/LOCALES (actually more than one locale per language, like swiss german, argentinean spanish, and so on): brasilian portuguese (português - brasil), italian (italiano), french (français), US english, spanish (español) and german (deutsch).

can you find in your browsing history where you got that ROM? i'd like to see it and compare with kavana or rickwyatts ROM to see if its the same version, but renamed.
edit: basically if this ROM is official, it should install without the JUMP SPL CID BYPASS. If it still needs or uses the CID Bypass, this its either a renamed kavana or rickwyatt or another cooked ROM based on kavanas WM 6.1 ROM.
Saw it and grabbed it from home. I'm at work now. When I get home, I'll post it for you.
The article stated it was the official T-Mobile 6.1. I'm happily running kavana's but since I need to flash someone's work phone, I figured an official (albeit leaked) would be better.
When I get home, I'll see if I can find the link. I know it was posted on a 4shared or some other free hosting service. Don't remember which one though but they left the official filename intact.
I've been searching all of my nerd sites to re-find the article and I swear it's like it never existed. It's driving me nuts!

I installed it. False alarm. It's WM6, not 6.1. That's probably why the story got pulled so fast.

is there a cooked danish 1.93 rom?

I have a danish 3 Diamond, and cant seem to get the latest 1.93 software on it as the HTC updater says "invalid operator" whenever i try.
Now...
Is there another solution? is there a cooked danish rom? that will succeed?

The link just above is the one to slp unlocker .i used this on my Danish htc diamond and it worked great ...can install whatever rom i want.(by the way i used 1.24 for the unlocker)
i tested this and i can use any sim card in my phone and as i said whatever rom.
but as with all flashing you do it at your own risk.

I forgot to say that i haven't tested the danish rom as i prefer english so that you will have to test out yourself.

Changing Language (norwegian)

Hi! Yesterday i bought my first HTC Touch Diamond P3700. I have never used any HTC cell phone. My problem. I live in Norway and this phone is in norwegian, but i want it to change to english. If I checked the ROM update, then it gives me only norwegian version. I'm thankful then somebody help me a little.

You have to update the rom to a WWE (world wide english) ROM. But you can change the language of the Manilla.

Thank you for answering. Can You tell me little more about it, what can i use or add any useful links. Because if i add my serial number to htc.com support, it gives me automatically norwegian version.

I read some threads, and the latest WEE official version was corrupt or somthing.
There are some Official Roms you can flash, though, i dont know if they are fast or not. I'm a Raphael user (Touch Pro). but read in the Diamond Rom development for good rooms.

If your are willing to "brake the warrenty" you could allways flash a coustom rom. And flash back to a origianal rom if you are sending it to service for a hw problem.
