Hope you don't think this is a noob question, probably is so please forgive me in advance, i hope you will help me in any case.
I bought an HTC Diamond from Orange UK but it shipped with the 1.35 Firmware not the 1.37 or newer.
I thought if i registered on HTC's website i could get the latest firmware, however when i put my serial number in, it tells me it isn't an HTC branded phone and i need to talk to my provider.
However when i talk to Orange they say that they do not have anywhere to download firmware updates and i need to talk to HTC. I therefore don't know where to go to get an Orange 1.37 firmware or later. i know they are shipping 1.37 versions as my mate has an Orange Diamond with 1.37 installed.
Can you guys help me out here? Also is 1.37 the newest firmware? Or is there a later one that i can get hold of?

i upgraded my BA IIs from PPC2003 to WM5. and i also downgraded the same device back to PPC2003. but how can i get the original factory ROM which is i first brought from the reseller? the one that i get is a patch version, which do not have the O2 Connect in it.
can any one help me please.....

i think you can get it from o2 website, either o2.co.uk or see02.com. for me the best rom is from t-mobile nl 1.42 and i bought mine from o2 uk.

Hi All
May need to return my Expansys B stock HTC Diamond, I've upgraded to a different SPL/ROM, and need to revert back. However, cannot remember what the original ROM/SPL was :-(
Can anyone shed any light on which versions of ROM/SPL I should revert to?
Also, how can I tell if my Diamond is a grey import ? Serial number is not registering on the main HTC site, but the phone came with a standard UK charger.

My expansys was purchased and was the version 1.34
ROM was originally 1.34 for me too.
You'll find the original spls in post 39 of thread "Hard-SPL - Developer Edition"
Edited: Serial was not accepted on UK site, but was accepted on the hong kong site. Also HK use the same three pin connection as UK

My Expansys Grey Import
My Diamond was bought from expansys at the end of May and registers on the htc hong kong site but not english one.
Phone came with UK charger and manuals etc.
Came with
ROM version 1.34.831.1 WWE
ROM Date 05/25/08
Radio Version 0.93.25.NS16
Protocol Version 52.24.25.08H

Let me see if I got it right. Expansys' grey imports from Asia has Stock ROM: 1.34 WWE and Stock SPL: 1.34.nbh?

I have been playing with my diamond since received from orange
gone from stock to
1.40 Olinex HardSPL
Radio xxx.05
Duttythrow v2.3a ROM etc
Now i need to restore so i can return to the carrier. It is on orange UK originally.
I have put orange's latest ROM 1.93
I have the xxx.05 radio anyway
Now I want to remove the 1.40 olinex HardSPL and put the stock one.. Now what I want to ask is, can someone here tell me what that SPL is? and also how I can downgrade 1.40olinex back to that?
From what I have read it is not a simple Process.

Hi There Ive tried searching for the thread in regards to my question and since the forum of xda is so large is kinda hard to find it or i just cant find it so im posting my question here.
I recently purchased the HTC Touch Diamond from Vodafone NL (NLD Language) ROM: 1.37.172.3 NLD / Radio:1.00.25.03 / Protocol: 52.26a.25.09H
my question is if theres a ROM out there thats in English but perhaps still Vodafone ROM so in short my question is Im looking to Flash my Vodafone NL HTC to Vodofone English HTC.
I know Vodafone UK let their customer download an update to 1.93...... on their website and ofcourse that wont work with mine as you would get ERROR 249 (INVALID VENDER).

you can flash Hard SPL, then you will be able to install the UK Vodaphone ROM.
Look in the Stickies for info on Hard SPL.

cool I did the upgrade on the HardSPL then downloaded the Vodafone HTC Diamond UK and it work OK

I know that there are 2 versions of the HTC Diamond (unbranded) 1 which is the EU version and 1 which is the US version. Does anyone have the US ROM? or at least the Radio ROM?
I have the EU version Diamond and i want to flash it with the US version so i can get 3G working. As far i as remember i read somewhere here long time ago that the Diamond 3G is software and not hardware dependent. Please correct me if I am wrong.

I downloaded the Hong Kong English 2.03 ROM with enables 3G in America
