I'm just thinking can we improve the Diamond's performance through update the SPL?
I saw each SPL version has difference performance in here:

So, Did Diamond also can do this? Or we can use that SPL? Look like the SPL 2.26.0000 is nice. (Diamond current SPL 1.2X - 1.3X (1.40 is hacked version)
Did anyone have a idea on it?

For rom 1.93.772.1 the spl is 1.93

i had some issue with this rom, installing it i had no ring for incoming call and shell32.exe crashed making impossible saving changes for sound settings, so i couldn't use it. i tried it with olinex spl and original spl thinking for a compatibility problems, but it wasn't, so i come back to te older 1.93.408.3... i downloaded exactly this file... did you have some problem with?
otherwise i could see it is faster then older one, it has 10% more free memory (just flashed and booted it has about 49/50% memory usage.. the 1.93.408.3 has 56-60% memory usage and it make free less memory using and closing applications) and, it has 77mb free against about 55mb...
I've not yet flashed my device with this rom (I'll flash it only for warranty reasons), but I'm curious: ervius, did you have problems with your H3G branded rom?

if you need for warranty reason you can also flash the old official italian rom and use original spl, my diamond arrived with the official rom and not with h3g rom...

find stock 1.93 spl. install it
than reinstall 203 rom the 203 spl should install with the rom
spl 2.03 doesn't exist ...
in 2.03 package there are rom and radio
after installation 1.40 OliNex remains

Only If you install 2.03 in a diamond with original spl and rom (1.93 es.) it install spl 2.03

I m trying to update my Movistar (spain) ROM 1.93.621.2 RADIO 1.00.25.05 G 52.29.25.12W (spl 1.93.0000)
but I have no idea on how to do it. I m trying to get the "last" SPL cause mine is already 1.93
But i haven t found a valid link.
Would you mind giving me the valid links to a 1.93 signed (by olinex) HardSPL or better to a 2.03 signed (by Olinex) HardSPL, and then another link or a zip file for the 2.03 ROM? Just can t find it anywhere. (no valid links anymore)
If I get well what you said here, I should:
1/ install HARD SPL 1.93 (where can I get it? is it the one from Olinex? 1.40 is not 1.93). Is my 1.93 stock SPL valid for this?
2/ get a ROM 2.03 package taht will come with ROM and RADIO (and SPL 2.03?)

So far I know, there is no signed 1.93 SPL. Different versions of SPL (signed and unsigned) can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=415191.

I use the 1.93 and have no problems at all with 1.93, 2.00 and 2.03 ROM's.
I did not test it, but there are a lot of people with 1.40 SPL using all kinds of ROM's with no problems at all.
You can use what you want, it will work OK ...

a couple of things:
- my model ID is DIAM300... will this be a problem? (I haven t found anything really clear on this in the forums)
- yesterday, using the pen, as everyday, sliding some pics, i striped? scratched the screen!!!
I noticed the pen was a bit sharp but it was too late. There s a bad scratch on the screen. Have you ever heard about this? Any feedback? It is wearing a small transparent plastic protection (shipped with the phone) but it indeed scratch my screen. As it was "normal use", "normal conditions", and the pen was not /is not damaged, I can t beleive it.

I cannot put the last ROM update from HTC site. I wish I could.
My questions:
- as my SPL is 1.93.0000, is it worth putting the 1.93 from olinex? if i do this, will I be able to put the HTC official version then? What are the risks?
As for warranty purposes, will I have to put back the official HARD SPL shipped with the phone? (I made a backup with Sprite BAckup, but i don t know if this backup has backed up the SPL too )
Is there a newer olinex version of the SPL?
OH I foRGot: my modelID is DIAM300 not DIAM100 is this a problem?

Your problem resolving is DIAMOND HARD SPL 1.34, and about olinex i have 1.40 but there is 1.90 and i am not sure that is a stabil because it changing radio and if you using a GSM there will be unstable signal and i do not recomend the 1.90 version it is unsined still be patient for 1.90 ver.

I read all sticky postes in this forum, it's very usefull for me but i have still sonme questions.
I just bought my diamond with SFR bundle (a french tele operator) and i got following infomation in 3 colors screen:
DIAM 100 64M
SPL_1.93.00000
MicroP_Diam(LED) V11
PSOL_Diam STAGE_PVT v0x32
In the bible, it suggest "Hard-SPL 1.40 Olinex SIGNED" and in another post it suggest Hard-SPL 1.93
In my case which version is the better one?
the second question would be if i have any fatal errors during SPL installation, it is possible to return the original SPL?

As long as it works, it doesn't really matter which one you use was the original instructions from the thread.
I personally like Hard-SPL 1.93 and since your device is already 1.93 SPL....then just use that one.
My Diamond came with the 1.93 SPL too. I'm using the HardSPL 1.93 Unsigned solely on the fact that it is the latest version of the SPL, meaning quicker booting, and maybe other small tweaks.
I'm really unsure why so many people use the 1.40 as it's dated compared to the 1.93 isnt it.

I have 2.03 ROM with stock 2.03 SPL, what would be my best choice?
I think i've read somewhere somebody had problems with installing Hard-SPL on 2.03 rom and replacing 2.03 spl?

Might be a stupid question, but I haven't found the answer so here it goes...
My Diamond has a SPL version of 2.03. I'd like to flash it with Shaks.P lite version to get rid of all of the unnecessary stuff.
Which HardSPL version do I choose? Is flashing to a different HardSPL safe to do, even if I choose a HardSPL not the same version as the one allready installed?
