Alarm not turning off after switching timezones - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam ROM Development

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
I live in the US Eastern time zone (GMT -5), some how the phone switched to US Pacific (GMT -8). In the process of switching it back I fat-fingered my way into the visiting time zone of Paris, Madrid (GMT +1). Problem with that is I had three alarms set for work that I use Monday through Friday at 3am, 3:15am, and 3:25am. Those still go off as normal and I can change them and turn them off, but now I have two more sets of alarms that I can’t get rid of that go off for the other two time zones.
So I have my normal alarms that go off at 3am, 3:15am, and 3:25am
Then the ones at 6am, 6:15am, and 6:25am that I can’t turn off
And then three more at 9pm, 9:15pm, and 9:25pm that I can’t turn off
Is there a way in the registry or something that I can disable the ones that go off in the 6am hour and the 9pm hour? I would really like to be able to do this without hard restarting the phone.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

you have to clean up the notification queue.
there are tools like dotfreds task manager which can do these tasks for you.

Thanks, cleared them out. hopefully the fix is that easy!

tmo tp2 Time problem

my tmo tp2 not displaying the right time. If i turn the phone on & off it comes back, has anyone seen this? did a search here nothing has come up.
no one else has had this problem w/ the tmo version?
Make sure you have it set for the right timezone. go to "setting, all settings, system, clocks and alarms" then set your time zone up...Tj
yeah, time zone checked, right city too... still, ugh................
Hmm I'm stumped ...Tj
How far off time is it? 5 minutes, 1 hour, several hours? Is it consistently that far off? If you're turning it off and turning it back on it sounds like it's pulling the time from the tower. Try going into the "Phone" settings (start, settings, personal, phone), go to the TIme Zones tab and uncheck Automatic change time zone and clock option.

Perfect..I was having a similar problem, thanks!
I had this issue last night. The time was off by 2 hours. I unchecked the setting as suggested in the above thread.

3g constantly in use???...

I am having battery issues, almost to the point that I want to take this beautiful phone back. I have adjusted every setting I know to adjust, including the CDMA fix (was already on cdma). I am getting about 6 hours max out of my phone with light usage (maybe 20 mins worth of calls, 10-15 emails, 10-20 text, 15 mins. or so of internet/facebook usage). One thing I notice a lot throughout the day is that my 3g upload and download arrows seem as though they are lit up more times than not. I am wondering if there is some hidden fix that maybe I am missing that would help with this. I checked sprint.com's data usage tool and see that I have downloaded 1.2gigs of info in 3 days (seems excessively high to me). I also notice today that my phone was pretty warm to the touch for a few hours straight. Back to being cool now.
any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Get a task killer, that is most likely caused by background application traffic.
You can also uninstall some apps that may "poll" the internet that you happen to not use.
Got Advanced Task Killer already set up to kill on screen close. Appears as though my damn calendar is literally sucking the life out of my battery and I have no idea how to turn it off. Went in to Applications and did a "touch to close" deal, but returns. This phone may be making a return back to sprint...nice toy, but actually need it to last more than a few hours at a time. Any way to delete calendar without rooting?

Do you also have a sync symbol always lit up? My EVO had some problems with syncing and wouldn't allow me to go into the Accounts and Sync settings. My fault - I had removed some .apks that it turns out I needed so my phone was constantly trying to poll it and giving me 100% Running time. Download Spare Parts and look at your battery history and see if you're getting Running to be high, or look at your Up Time versus Awake Time.
If they're high, go into Accounts and Sync in your settings and look at the options there. You may just need to turn off Auto-Sync to fix your battery issue so that it stops constantly polling your calendar.

Clock issue

What would cause the clock to be incorrect? It's happened several times and I don't know why. I thought that the current time was supplied by the network. It always was on my previous phones. I completed a call a few minutes ago and when I set the phone down I noticed it said 10:00 am when it was actually 1:58 pm. I did a soft reset and it is now correct, but what would cause this?
What country you got it set on?
United States, Pacific time zone. If it were a simple issue with the region the minutes would still be correct. When it happens the whole time is off.
This has happened to me also. I have double and triple checked my time settings - daylight savings time is enables, the correct time zone (the correct country), etc.
I was late for work this morning since my cell time was incorrect and the alarm sounded 2 hours late.
M
EDIT: Please see this thread for possible solutions.
Hmmm...reading through that thread it seems like it is more a phone issue than network issue. I'm going to try the regedit and see if that works. It's only happened twice, but I use my phone for a wake up alarm, so it could be a potential disaster if it happened during the night.

[Q] Alarm Clock Repeat Days

Hey guys. Is there any way to get around the annoying "alarm repeat" function on touchwiz's stock alarm clock? Every time I create an alarm, it automatically selects that particular day as a repeat day. I want to be able to create an alarm, let's say it's set for 8am a certain way, and be able to just go turn it on for the next morning on any particular day without having to go into edit and turn the repeat day off again. Yes, I'm aware that there are other alarm apps, that's not the question. Cheers for the feedback.

Please tell me this a is joke question.
If you want to set certain days for that particular time you simple check the days you want. If you want them days to only go off for that week unchecked repeat weekly or check weekly for every week.
I love the 90s. Good times.

Thanks for the attitude; that always helps. And that did not answer my question. If I go set an alarm with repeat weekly off and no days selected, it automatically selects the day that the alarm is next set to go off on. Now, say if I go to select that alarm time again two days later looking for it to go off the next morning, I have to go in and deselect the day that it was automatically assigned to when I created the alarm.

When you set the alarm uncheck the days you don't want. Oh yeah make sure you hit save.

Thanks, but I'm doing that, and it is behaving as I described where it automatically assigns a day to that alarm.
Please try it. Create an alarm for tomorrow Thurs at 8am, make sure all the days are not highlighted, un-check repeat weekly, hit save. Now go back to that alarm and you'll see that the day Thurs is now and will continue to be highlighted. When your alarm goes off tomorrow Thurs at 8am, and you turn it off, it is still set as a Thurs only alarm. My point is that you cannot just create a general alarm for 8am that on any random day you can go one-click enable to go off the next morning like you can with the stock android alarm. You either have to set it to go off everyday at that time or you have to go and deselect the day it was autoassigned to the last time you used it.

Yeah, I can live with it. That said, I'm always looking for convenience when I can find it. Options exhausted with the touchwiz app, I'll try another.
I just enjoyed before with my last phone with the stock android alarm app that I could go and create alarms for time slots. Like an alarm for 7, 7:30, 8, 8:30, 9, 9:30, 10, 10:30, and so on. Seeing that my waking schedule in not regular, I could just go to the alarm app and one-click the time slot I wanted to wake up the next day. Now I have an EXTRA 4 CLICKS! /sarcasm

It's been a while since I've had TW Roms, but let me try to help.
Set up an alarm for 7:30 AM. Choose repeat on all days.
Repeat step one for all times you want alarms
"Turn Off" all alarms you don't want to use. (I think you just have to click the green alarm on the side and it turns off)
Each night before you go to bed, turn on the alarm you want.
*Optional* Leave one "failsafe" alarm that you always leave on.
You can even set up widgets on one of your homescreens to turn each alarm on or off. That way it's a one-click step. Can't get much more convenient than that!

Thanks topherk. Did a little test run by setting an alarm for a minute later with the options you mentioned. Unfortunately, if you don't select "repeat weekly," you lose the day that just went off (i.e. it becomes un-highlighted), and if you do select "repeat weekly," your alarm is now set to go off everyday at that time, and thus you would have to go disable it after it went off. The later option is probably the easiest for the time slot method I'm looking for, but it has the added inconvenience of your alarm going off when you don't want it to if you forget to disable it. God knows I'm not all that sharp right when I wake up, so it happens.

Time GMT -1

In EU countries, British summer time ended last night and the clocks went back 1 hour. My phone shows the correct time and changed automatically. I use an app called Tasks https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ch.teamtasks.tasks.paid that I have been using for a while is now, and it's now longer working correctly (and another similar app is doing the same). When I input a time for the task to alarm the time displayed goes back one hour, so for example I have a task that will sound at 6:15 am tomorrow, but the time that it will go off is 5:15 am. Any idea's why this is happening, I thought it might have been the app, but I have tried tow different ones. They both synchronise with Google. The only way to 'fix' it would be to set the time to remind me at 7:15 am.
My phone is rooted on stock rom.
