Hey I did a quick search and found a way to set the background wallpaper of the start menu, but is there an easy way to just change the color? IE: I want to change it to black or gradient black
you can't really change it to any color, as the startmenu-background is a plain white bitmap-fil, and not an internal color. see my thread below (changing internal images-thread), there i wrote about the reg-key where to thange this image.)
Think it's been covered

Hey everyone,
I just spent over an hour searching for the way to specify the text color on the Call Progress screen of my WM6.1 Dash.
All the posts mention how to change the background image, but I could not find anything on how to specify the text color in this screen.
The new WM6.1 ROM for my dash uses white text for the call progress, so that means the background images for these screens have to be a kinda dark color - meaning I have to keep picking a new color that matches the current scheme I'm using.
I'd rather have a white background for call progress screen and the text to be black (like it was in the org t-mobile WM6 ROM for my dash)
Any ideas?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

HI,
I like the default home screen that comes with the Cavalier (sorry). However, I changed the background image and the fonts do not show very well. I would like to change the font color and the highlight font color. I need the font color in white and the highlighted font in blue (not dark blue).
I'm not familiar with the .xml programming; however, if anyone can help me to change these two parameters on the HTC.Home.xml, I would be really happy.
Is it possible to do these changes? Will I need a special Editor for changing the code? or could it be done with a common application?
Regards,

Hi!
Well, You can change the icons by going to themes>customize current theme>scroll down go to icons >select icons of desired theme
:highfive:
There have been a few threads about this already.

It's not about icons background which you can change by theme changing. He is asking about menu background. Just click on setting and see there is white background. How to change it to black or grey?
To change colour settings:
From the homescreen, scroll right and tap Settings.
Tap Advanced settings.
Tap Accessibility.
You can choose: Colour inversion, where the colours and shades on your display will be shown in the opposite way. Colour correction, which allows you to customise the colour of your screen.
The short answer is: No you cannot. Unless you have a device with AMOLED screen.
If you do have AMOLED device, then you can change to "Dark mode" under battery saving.

Could anyone tell me if it's possible to change the background colour of the volume menu with LeeDroid rom? I've changed the background of the quick settings menu to black and it looks ace! Just wondering if i can do it with the volume menu to match.
Thanks.
Works on our rom.
You can also customize the whole header, with texts, buttons with your desired color.
I set mine to white/black. You could just invert the colors, if you prefer black
