Anyone try out Deepfish, Microsofts new web browser for PDAs?

But its a Beta-Preview-Version. IT'S ONLY IN THE NAME OF SCIENCE!!! WE JUST WANT TO HELP MICROSOFT.

Downloading and playing with it.
Holy crap this thing is fast....google.ca came instantly. It seems like MSN is caching some of the data through a server or compressing but something.
It is very beta. It shows the entire page in one shot. I am just checking Howard Forums and going down on the page is like navigating through Gmaps for PPC.
I am still trying to figure out how to zoom....
Not bad but still in its infancy. Whoa, wait this thing zooms in like crazy! Amazing. Not bad for pre-beta.
It is a bit like the S60 3rd browser!

So is any one gonna post the activation code ?

And what are leaked OS? I don't came here for any serials oder cracked software. But i came here for Aku3, WM6 and so on and in my interpretation of the word "warez" OS are very close to this...

I have been trying to get an activation code sent to me all morning..
I can understand why is it so difficult for people who already have a code for this pre-Beta application to post it out so more people can try it...

But i also have problems with zooming, any1 knows howto?

I installed it with someone's activation code, but got the error message after the deepfish validating something:
Internal: Unable to get timely response from the server. This is generally caused by poor reception with your data provider. Please try again.
I also tried the Diagnosis function, it said HTTP request failed (12038)
I tried both Wi-Fi and 3.5G , the results are the same
Anyone can help?

System App .CABs?

This may or may not be a stupid question and I've looked high and low for an answer but is there anywhere i can download system apps individually? Specifically Windows Live Messenger.
The ROM i have installed doesnt have it included and a .CAB of it would be beautiful.
Correct me if this isnt even possible...

microsoft probably has windows live messenger available for download.
EDIT: I found it, but it is so easy to find that I won't be helping you. I don't even think you searched. If XDA doesn't work, try Google.

that isnt exactly a download link. every other website is third party apps... which are not what i was looking for. and thus all these answers saying basically "****ing google it liar" are completely wrong. if you actually googled it yourself youd see that it isnt a solution. hence me asking here....

nevermind. i am infact retarded. i had no idea that msn was bundled WITH the live service because my phone still had live on it just not messenger... i downloaded the whole bundle and now lifes great... but thanks for calling me stupid a bunch that was pleasant.... how am i suppose to know theyre bundled together?! Hello guys, I have idea about the Perfect APP and who is able to make such thing will become a Millionaire with sure.
1st wana say im not a programer and i just have the right idea.. i cannot do it by myself but i decide to write it here and maybe some of you can be interested.
Its hard really but its inovation and worth the time because will change almost everything.
Now every single day we clearly can see that more and more the peoples start using they Pocket PC to surf in the net than the regular methood so.. all costumers LOVE the direct application.. like YouTube PLayer.. like many other because they dont need to open a browser and to type there the url.. and to wait to load.. they prefer ready APPs because is alot more easyer, Faster and Smooth with one single click you are there where you wana be.
My idea is:
Single Program.. that will be conected to a web address, in the web address can have actual INFO of alost everything.. from Wheater, Finances, Cinema, News, Sport, Flight tickets and many more.. you name it..depends how hard you wana do it..
So imagine one single APP in your device.. when you run it.. directly to appear like web page all the INFOs and you just choice what you wana chek today.. also will recognize the Country AREA and will show you exactly the INFO you need.
For example if you are from UK... when the app load you will be able to see the curency GBP to all other.. the corect wheater for your city, what movies will be played in the Cinema, Events, News and all this for UK... so with app like this you will be always in touch you do not need any more.. to read newspapers, or surf in internet to read some news etc.

I'm all for it! Hopefully Google will put it on android at least, but it would be amazing to have it on wm too, the mobile web version at the moment isn't very good.

no, lets say youre at school, and you along with everyone else at your school is connected to the schools wifi, you turn on this app, and it will tell you all of the facebook users, amazon users, youtube users ect.. for example it will say facebook: John Dow, Will Smith, Papa Smurf, and so on, with a list of users. just click one of those users, and youre now logged in to their facebook, you can change their status, account info, upload a picture, or snoop through pictures. if youre on youtube, upload a video, change favorites, anything youd do on youtube normally.. if youre on amazon, buy them a flat screen, or some pokemon cards (what ever people use amazon for anyways..) whatever.. get it?

Just tried it and it works....waited till my wife logged on and it let me into her FB account...WTF lol..it only works three times and then you have to pay for it...its similar to firesheep on firefox if you have used that.

Always connect to those sites using SSL. (use HTTPS in front). Most big websites such as twitter or facebook have an option in your account settings to force use HTTPS and stop storing non-SSL cookies. (but you need to delete current one)
This tool kind of made such attacks slightly more mainstream, although they've been there since ip. http://codebutler.github.com/firesheep/

[APP] FBMetro, a Mini Facebook App

Currently I am building and shortly will be done with my Facebook Metro App for Windows 8 and the idea is to have 2 UI's.
1). Full Screen w/Most Features.
2). Half-Sized w/Basic features so you can use your favorite App's while still accessing your Facebook features, feed and etc.
Question is, what would YOU want added to either UI?

Well u should post some pictures of the program so we can see what it has and hasnt so we can give you opinions When its really upload it and i will test it for sure

After or on Tuesday, I can share the design as I am scheduled with a MS Engineer to help my App have the final touches and tested as well and hopefully first Facebook App in the Store.

Offline messages? As in check for personal messages and grab them and save them for no-connection viewing and respond while offline and when/if connection available automatically send?

Well FBMetro is really just the project name, Facebook already has an App registered as Facebook Metro.
The half-sized mode is in fact the snapped mode... I have included old-SS of which the actual App does not represent anymore as of my meeting with my Microsoft sponsor who wouldn't permit me to go any further with the design, even though I was nowhere near done lol.
Note: Job Discovery is my other App for Win8 and is actually currently a free WP7 App. In the photo you can see that my Facebook App can be used by other Developers to post information from their App using my pre-established Auth to the end-users Facebook Account. Yes, they can actually implement my App to be used by theirs.

Windows Store isn't even available for Iran... Doubt you can even get this app...

By default, it is installed with Windows 8. There ARE bypasses that will be released though... :fingers-crossed:

I am actually working with someone from Microsoft to get the App Certified, I had to really redo A LOT of the UI as they have made the standards really rough.
Right when it's ready, I will immediately provide the link.
