Just picked one up on eBay, but it won't work with my Kaiser (Tilt flavor). Mine didn't come with drivers and I'm having no luck finding any on the net. Any one know where I can find them or can attach to this thread?

Have you tried the HTC site? I just registered and found the drivers for that remote on my device (p3600i).

No luck. I can't find it on the HTC sites on which I'm registered. With a US phone, I'm not able to register on the APAC site (presumably where you pulled yours). Can you post?
RC-E100 doesn't work

I've got a XDA Star - the O2-version of the htc touch dual.
The standard ROM didn't support the RC-E100.
So I did a upgrade to Niki Project Rom Editor v2.1.3, and the controller worked well.
After a few days it didn't work anymore. And I installed the ROM from HTC with WM6.1. But I've still the problem.
When I plug the cable there is for one second the sound in the headphones, and then the phone uses the own speaker again.
There is no error-message.
I tried to install the driver from the cd which is given with the RC-E100, but the installer says there is already the driver on the phone.
Maybe reinstalling of the driver will help...
Can anyone help me, please?

i cannot solve it either , got an htc touch blackstone and first the device is not supported ,
the driver seems allready excist !?!

I already checked 10 roms and many driver configurations.
My hermes still couldnt see RC - e100 and only use internal speakers.
No solution on HTC, no solution on this forum.

Hm, I've got the Dopod version (S100 if I'm not mistaken), didn't work on my Hermes (TyTN) but works perfectly fine on my Raphael (Touch Pro).

You still need to have the actual headset.

This is the cab contained in the driver (only for Hermes, I already post the one for Trinity search my posts)
I try edit the .cab file.
But I cant figure out where they set the buttoms.
Really wanna change that sucker to play HTC audio manager instead of ****ing mediaplayer

If you want to install the HTC Home plugin, but have Windows Mobile 5, you can download V1.5 from here: http://rapidshare.com/files/78660237/htchomewm56tab.zip. It will only work on WM5 devices. Make sure to perform a soft reset after installing it. I tried it on my HTC Titan and it worked fine

This is the section for hermes with Windows Mobile 6, something that the TyTn II comes with natively...

Yes, I was flash-happy and was trying out many new ROM's, however one day it decided to just not work and not even tri-color.
if you manually put your device in bootloader then attach it to your pc the screen should say serial then usb.
once it says usb and the pc has installed any drivers it may need run the upgrade and it should work (if not first time try again)
I think to get bootloader manually hold down off button and camera and then reset with stylus continuing to hold buttons

Sounds like you have attempted to flash a Hermes ROM to your device.....best NOT to be flash happy as something like this would happen if you are not carefull.
Your device is a Kaiser so you need to go into the Kaiser forum NOT the Hermes forum. WM6 is released for MANY HTC devices eg: Wizard, Hermes, Kaiser, Athena, Titan, Artemis etc...
and just to reiterate make sure its a kaiser rom and not one of duttys for a different device or you could brick your device

I'm an idiot!
Got the HTC RC E100 Remote Control Headset for christmas, I plugged it in and was scared because it didn't work.
Then I saw that I needed to instal the drivers, so I try'd and the setup said: "Drivers already installed on this phone" or something like that.
On my phone I got the error: "getdeviceinfo.exe error" Send Log or Don't send..
Can anyone help me? Searched the whole wide web for this but it seems there is not any solution..

well my problem is that i'm trying to install froyo in my HTC TOUCH PRO 2.
after that the android is booting start the system all well but i have two problems
The USB never conncet...
and the most important, Android dont recognize the baseband version and i haven't GSM net... i can't make calls don't received , i dont have GSM net.

Usb not tested because when y find out that no conection was possible whit "Hi" kpn y remove the stuff from the sd card.

Well I found the information direct from the web page of XDandroid in the Install guide, and the xdandroid start up CAB.
exist some soluction for me problem ???

i34a23 now with another Android version (GBX0A_Full_Bundle_11.3.2011) y have a working pfoon (but very slow internet) but total no audio, so removed it all from sd card and now only windows using because dont have time to try to search and fix all the problems that are now on it. Soon trying to flash it to Winmo. 6.1 and when thats not is what im aspected then last reflash to ori rom and sell this phoon and use my old Touch Cruise again ho will do what y want him to do, only slower then the Pro2. Succes whit your phoon, ym tyred of it.
Was a fix ever found?

Well Im a noob but I know that if you are running android off of an SD card you cannot mount it to a computer. And you can try a new kernel that can fix ur calling problems. Just suggestions
Unless you meant it wont even charge lol then idk that. Maybe a short in ur usb cable or you need a new android build
Did you extract the correct startup file to the root of card when installed,its in one of the included folders.also when connecting USB have you tried switching to USB mode from the notification menu when you hook it up?
