Ringtone files from storage card - Upgrading, Modifying and Unlocking

Hi,
I was wondering... is it possible to edit something so that I can use the mp3's on my storage card as ringtone's?
Now I must copy them into the ringtone's folder in the memory of the phone itself in order to set them as ringtone. Kinda swallow's up usable space
By the way... OS is windows mobile 6 (smartphone) on a Samsung i600
Thanx in advance...

sdCard or internal storage?

Is there any reason that I can't move Ringtones folder from the sdCard
to Incredible's internal storage seen when connecting USB cable to windows
computer and choosing Disk Drive option? Thanks for any thoughts on storage options....
Confused...
The Ringtones folder is in /system/media, which is on internal storage. Moving it to SD you'd need to browse to the ringtone each time you wanted it, it wouldn't automatically pull up since the system looks to the default location.
The only way you can see it is by using adb or Droid Explorer.

Thanks for answer
But the Inc can actually find them on the sdCard: I have different ring for
each phonebook entry, and it finds them without pointing.
I was asking because the internal drive doesn't seem to have much more
on it than DCIM, and I wondered if there was any reason not to put ringtones
on the internal drive. I don't ususally adb, only visualize phone's drives on a
windows setup with windows explorer.

You can copy the ringtones folder to emmc (internal storage) and the phone should find them on reboot.
Below is where they can be put.
Internal:
/emmc/ringtones
/emmc/alarms
/emmc/notifications
SD Card :
/sdcard/ringtones/
/sdcard/alarms/
/sdcard/notifications

Galaxy s4: How to change default Music/Video path from Internal to External memory.

Using Samsung Kies, every time I move music files from PC to my device Samsung Galaxy S4, I find that all the music files are stored in "/storage/emulated/0/Music" folder which is the Device Storage or default directory and this directory is disabled and unlike other paths this one is not allowed to be modified. I store large music files in my device and this taking up lots of space in my device's internal memory:crying: . Despite having External memory card of 32Gb I find it useless if there is no provision to change or move files to external storage. Is there a way I can change this path ? Guys help me. :crying:

SWM 8802 - What can be safely deleted to maximize storage?

Hello. I just installed an SWM 8802 for the first time (also a car stereo swap for the first time), and I love it. (T'was all due to touchscreen envy when my gf got her car). It's got 16GB of on-board storage but already is very low on space. I've already installed a MicroSD card and put music on there, but am currently going through it to delete music I don't need.
I've already used ES File Explorer to delete things from the Android OS on the Android head I can visually see I won't need (any files with Foreign countries in it's name), but are there other files that can be safely deleted in order to free up space?
Previously I formatted a MicroSD card in my Android media box to show as merging with internal memory. So with my Android head, If I can't move apps from the internal storage to the MicroSD card, would formatting a MicroSD card internally and merging it with the internal storage be the best way to go? The only hassle would be copying all my songs from a USB drive over to the car using the Android system with ES File Explorer. Alternatively I may also try to load everything on a Linux or windows laptop, use a male to male USB cable and interface it with the Android head, and copy files that way.
