Today upgraded my kaiser 130 to wm6.1. dutys hybrid v2. Nice stuff.
And so got a head ache, that was't on wm6.
Now it is posible to silence the ringing phone without rejecting a calll, but if you use any software like ringomobile or similar, this feature does not work, because ringo don't caches that button, it just plays his own sounds. While windows phone sounds are muted from begining.
So question would be, is there any update or something that allows asign ringtones for gruops of users , and simutaneously to have silence function workin?

Okay. I have a weird problem (and it seems one of my co-workers does too).
When I put the phone on vibrate, I don't get any of the message sounds, just vibrating, as it should. However, if the bluetooth is active and I am on a call while a message comes in, I get the tone in my ear. Right in the middle of a conversation.
A co-worker is running WM6 stock on a Tilt and I am running WM6 on my Hermes and both of us get the same problem.
The remote caller does not hear anything (as is expected), but it just gets annoying to have it keep interrupting me in the middle of a conversation. It seems vibrate should disable sounds to all speakers.
Any suggestions on how to get rid of this??
Hi,
i hope someone can help me to fix a bad problem with my arthemis.
It is a german artemis from T-Mobile named MDA Compact 3 with TomTom6.
After a few days or weeks, this is various, the ring tone gets quiet.
When i play the mp3 file with the media player it is loud.
The Sounds of TomTom are normal loud too.
Only the ring tone that i can change in the personal menü - sounds is too quiet. Equal i use a mp3 file or an integrated tone.
And only for Telephone: Incoming Call
All other tones für incoming SMS, etc. are normal loud.
When i use the same sound for incoming sms it is loud, incoming call is quiet
When i make a hard-reset, everything works fine.
Now i changed too windows mobile 6, and i have the same problem
this week I changed to TomTom7 same Problem.
Please help me
Excuse my bad english.
greetings werner
u mean you had renew your rom?
i hope its not hardware problem..
No, he means he hard-reset the ROM.
I had a similar problem with my 1st Orbit. It got stolen so I ended up buying another and this one has no such problem now. This makes me think it may be hardware related.
I have MSVC 21040 running in a 21042 ROM. Out of the "box", the announcements didn't work. I am working on a solution to work around this issue. The only part I am having a hard time with is the length of the announcement itself ... It cuts off after ~3 seconds. My TTSAnnounce ringer script is "v0p". To disable the normal ring, I set the category for RingTone0 to "_Ring" (instead of "Ring"). The nice thing about disabling the normal ringer this way is that it doesn't interfere with the build-in Sounds and Notifications settings interface.
Example: Call from 012-345-6789 gets announced as "Call From 012-345-67"
or
Call from Joe Smith on Mobile is announced as "Call from Joe Smith on m..."
If I change the TTSAnnounce ringer script to "p" (remove the vibrate command), it works fine. If I use "pv0", it still works but no vibrate. Any ideas on how I can get vibrate and call announce? I also tried v1p, v1pr, v0pr, v0pw3r ... Same results as v0p. Also tried an "a" in front. This might be a bug in the OS ... I'll have to play around with some other ring tones and see if they get cut off. Is there a max ringer script duration setting somewhere?
Ok ... Here goes ...
I built a 21042 Titan ROM with PPCKitchen.org's BuildOS, including VoiceCommand. I had to change some registry settings to get it to announce my incoming calls, and these announcements were cut short.
I am 98% done building my own 21042 Titan Kitchen. When I use my kitchen, Voice Command announces the full message, and does not get cut short.
I don't know what the issue was, but it is no longer an issue for me.
Searched around, can't seem to find a solution to this puzzling problem..
I flashed EnergyROM on my Tilt2, everthing was fine for about 2 weeks. Then, one gloomy day, notifications/alarms just stopped ringing. I get no audio notification when email/sms arrive. Also, when I use the hardware volume buttons on tilt and try to adjust the volume - there is no sound when I do (you know that little "bell" sound when you change volume? it's not there).
Regular windows notification settings are all there, manila's settings are all set (volume is at 100%)..
What still works is ringtones and playing music/videos. Also, I do hear a ringtone when I'm getting a call.
It may be something minor.. any ideas?
So I had a TP2 (from Telus) for approximately 2 months with the stock ROM. I put some custom ringtones on it, and set it up to play a sound and vibrate on incoming calls, incoming SMS, incoming e-mail.
When I first start the device, everything works fine for a while, however, after some period of time (varies) the audible alerts for SMS and e-mail stop working...still works for incoming calls (so it's not muted or anything).
Randomly, the vibrate feature will stop "working" as well, it won't completely stop working, but instead of a long vibrate, I get ONE vibrate (like you get when you push a key on the soft keyboard).
I upgraded to an EnergyROM WinMo6.5 ROM last night, and this afternoon this problem surfaced AGAIN.
Any solutions / thoughts?
Thanks

What format?
All three (including the phone ringer, which always works) of the sounds-in-question are MP3s.
Try using WMA
though I must say my TP2 works fine with MP3 media as well.
same thing happens mine too. mostly ok but sometimes no sound from my tp2 or different ring tones. I have original rom
Nope. This is most likely a hardware issue, unless you are running a non-ATT device. The format has nothing to do with it; the device can actually play movie files (audio portion) without a single problem, even when on the storage card. It sounds like a hardware problem about the vibrate thing. But, that notification thing sounds pretty much software. Try with the stock sounds and see if it makes a difference then put the custom ones on main memory and try again.
