I have a i780 running a swedish rom. That is full of bugs and I wanna flash it with one of the newer english roms available. But how do I keep my swedish layout on the keyboard after flashing? With the TyTn II I also have it is simple reghack but with the i780 I dont´t know.
Any of you smart people out there knowing how to do that ?

Yeah I now have tried that to but I dont´like the lag it creates - it feels even faster to type "a" and then press the "au" button untill the a changes to "å" or "ä" So I don´t like AE keyboard mapper that much

I would like to see if it is possible to add T9 in Spanish to the Dash? Does the S620 have T9 in Spanish?

Yes, on the Dash you press Alt + Space and it brings up a menu and you can choose T9, but the Dash only has it in English, but I believe that the S620 has it aso in Spanish.

It does not seem to work with my S620.
No, the S620 doesn't come with T9 at all, at least the Dash has T9 in English. That's one of the reasons I sold my S620 and kept the Blackjack.
change to keyboard with diferente button positions
Hello, i'm waiting from ebay an keyboard for qtek 9000(in this case, T-mobile MDA) and it was a qwertz layout.
the question is, if I change the original keyboard to a new keyboard with diferente button positions such as Ok button, video call button and others, will pda recognize the diference and atribute right function to each button?

no i believe it will not.... the keyboard replacement you bought are just button pads... external only and does not contain the board that corresponds to the button press.... this means it will still follow the original keyboard format even if the buttons say otherwise... you could use a software however to remap these buttons to suit your new keyboard layout.
Universal Keyboard
Hi!
I have a Universal with a German keyboard running WM6 in English.
There is no need for any sort of special software to map the keys when you change from German to English. When you load a WWE WM6 your device will automatically have a US QWERTY layout. It will be then up to you to remember your Touch Typing 101 lessons.
It's generally not that bad with letters and numbers--just swap the Y and the Z. Punctuation is harder. When I first got my phone I printed out the keyboard layouts from both a German Vodafone manual and an UK manual and carried them around for reference. After two months I don't even notice anymore.
Good luck,
shrines
Hi,
Why are you suggesting that??? It's much easier to fix the registry for the german layout. That's what I have.
1. for the german keyboard on english ROM
2. get a registry editor (like Resco)
3. search the key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\OEM\Qwerty]
4. edit - Layout in decimal to 66567 (from 66569)
5. softreset
(thanks to macznik)

I have installed another language on this device on top of English (based in ROM).
As you know, the hard keys have English letters on them.
I wanted to know what is the key combination to switch the hard keys between English and other languages?
As of now I am using the virtual keyboard only...which is a bummer.
For example in Tytn is was Fn+Space...
Try PqzII and you can define alt & control combinations and map yourself a new keyboard - switching on alt would give you access to what ever you would map to the keys.
What language did you put on? Hebrew? Did you succeed with sending/recieving sms correctly? What language solution did you use? Thanks.
Peace.
In the i780 the function FN+Sapce of TyTn and others is made by the key at right side of Shift, the second one from left on the last line.
Foe example, when i write a A, and pressing it change to Á À Â Ä...

I will try it, but I just don't know what command to execute on this key combinations for changing the language...
I am using hebrew lang, and I can see SMS ok, no interface translation though.
I used Leng Extender for this.
I know that Eyron and PDAC will support this as well.

It should be doing that, but for some reason it does not find the hebrew font I added and does not change to it

Software Keyboard (seems fast)
Try FingertouchPRO, the layout is customizable.
The cab resides on www.fingertouchpro.com , just click the big CAB button.
There is a movie showing this toy in action, the speed (if it's real) is incredible!
Hi,
How can i change QWERTY hardware keyboard to AZERTY (not layout in rom),k hardware changing ?
is there a way ? i need this to..
Hi,
After installing a dutch ROM, your machine only recognises "QWERTY".
It is easy to switch to "AZERTY" :
Physical keyboard (=hardware keyboard) : you need to install the cab-file.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=5496980&postcount=938
Virtual Keyboard (= keyboard on touchscreen) :
When keyboard deployed, click the arrow next to the tiny keyboard onscreen. It will show you some options. From the dropdown menu, select the second from top item (which should be "Nederlands" in your case) and choose "Frans" instead. Unfortunately, by doing this, you will loose the auto-correction function for the Dutch language.
If somebody has a BETTER solution, I will be glad to read.
Have you tried the rhodium key controller. It is available here on xda. you can change any key to any function.
