That actually does look pretty sick.
How do you install these? I kinda forgot lol
Just unzip them to your directory where media player skins are. It's in Program Files\Windows Media Player.
Try placing the entire folder in that directory. If that doesnt work, all you have to do is just place all of the files in each of the folders into that directory. Don't worry about the duplicate .thumbs files. It doesn't matter what you have. Enjoycool
Thanks bud !
let me go try it right now.
thanks for the help those skins worked great!
can visualizers work on wmp on dash? would be awesome
i made this one...im a harry potter fanatic....
just drop folder in program files\windows media player....then select from options menu in wmp
others are ones i found that model htc layout....and a cool iphone inspired one
Thanks for posting the HTC Skin. Perfect for me...Excalibur screen too small for album art (and album art never seems to display consistently anyway). Goes great with the Gregory WM6 theme.

Hi, I have a problem with windows media player, it can't find any skins. I think I have created the problem myself after upgrading to B&B4.3, I restored my phone after the upgrade using the latest version of sprite backup which it says on the tin can restore to a new device or after a rom upgrade. Sounds good for the lazy people like me that can't be bothered to re-install all my crazy amount of software. I try everything. So as a result all is working just fine except for the media player skin thing. I thought maybe to re-install wmp might sort it, or putting a new skin in the right folder, well I can't find a wmp cab and putting skins in obvious places hasn't worked. Any help or ideas welcome thanks devs.
I would greatly apprciate a viewing of what skins are being used by anyone interested in giving us a glimps of what everyone is using to spruce up their wmp skin.
I also pose the question when the phone like mine Alltel PPC 6800 goes landscape does the new skin used have to have new landscape skin files as well?
Here are a few: http://www.pdagold.com/themes/list.asp?tp=8
A few more: http://pocketpccentral.net/software/wm_skins.htm
And of course a vista theme: http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-vista-windows-media-player-theme-skin.html
Thanks for your input.
I want to create a rom that is just based around TF3D, i have tried so many times at creating my own, but my laptop just messes it all up (seriously have no idea why) it crashes and comes up with loads of errors.
I want to make one that only has the following programs:
Opera - any version compatible with tf3d
File Explorer
Office
Notes - no OneNote just notes
Audio booster
Windows Media
Album - Do we need pictures and video?
Camera - obviously
S2U2 - users can install the manila style theme
Youtube
We just need the pure basics no internet explorer or anything like that.
i will be more than welcome to help graphically as much as i can and im sure that other members would love to see this ROM.
Also none of that stupid windows with the start menu at the bottom....its crap! please post here or private message me and thank you for looking
come on people!
over 100 views n no takers
Im in!
There is so many out there but they all have their own bugs but nothing only for TF3D.
I would love to see it happen and am happy to help you out but i dont know much about the cooking process...
You may try the kicthen from lobsterdave, simple and logical (add only the packs you want to) otherwise seek after the lot of "clean" ROMS and use one of those.
Or any other kitchen. I'm a big fan of this one:

try this
The new TCPMP netDrg v2 NeoXL Tech1 HD2 Hi-RES Version with the netDrg engine, plus added high end codecs is now available... Before playing any video/audio files, open the TCPMP player go to Options> Settings> Player and check mark the block "play at open".... Next tap on Select Page> File Associations and check mark ALL the blocks, tap OK in the lower left corner, exit the TCPMP player, a soft reset of your HD2 is required.....
I tried many versions of the TCPMP on my HTC HD2 bud for me this version is by far the best 1. If you gonna watch a movie, for example divx avi with a srt sub file put video settings on GDI instead of DirectDraw.

What is a netDrg engine? And will this only increase performance for the HD2?
I ran this app on my Blackstone and i really like it, however i would love to see a full screen working gapi driver.. Still haven't found it yet..
"Hi-RES version" - bu it still has the 1008 pixels wide limit for video files, right?
Come on?!

Tech1 really likes to give fancy names to his repacks... What on earth is "netDrg engine" (making stuff up are we)?
This "new version" is pretty much a bundle of bimbam69 TCPMP version (which is actually the newest TCPMP version and not just a pack of old components) with a skin (similar to the one from netDrg... but not as pretty IMHO) and a couple of useless dlls (did a benchmark and it's pretty much the same)...
This may have been out of proportion but it's sad to see that bimbam69 (the guy who actually updated TCPMP) gets less credit than the skinners/repackers that release bundles based on his work.

I admit this build isn't as good as he hyped it to be but TCPMP was created in mind to b a shared program which users could update and create plugins and extra features for anyone to include in any build. The only thing he did wrong was not give credit to BIMBAM. Way back when BETAPLAYER came out then when TCPMP came the creators even said they wanted the users to keep the software updated. Everyone eventually uses the most up to date plugins in their build. Its been that way since this great player was created. BIMBAM has done great work that has made the player better but even he knows and probably does not care if people use hia plugins in their build. Its open source, learn about it. Its not like anyone creates any plugin from scratch. They are able to create and build upon TCPMP cause the creators wanted it to be that way.
Dude I was only pissed because the proper credit wasn't given by the pack author (not the thread starter)... I believe Tech1 skimmed netDrg thread and took his as the developer behind the new version.
I'm all for OSS development... And I'd be one of the first giving props here if a plugin was developed/updated but skinning hardly qualifies as development. I just think it's preposterous to announce this as a new player version when in fact it's just a bundle with a different skin and a few useless dlls (even though it's not the poster fault... Tech1 hyped this as being a new and better version in a lot of PPC dedicated forums).
I believe it'd be better if it were released as a skin (in fact I believe a TCPMP skin thread is due... for one there are some at netDrg thread).
is this just for videos or can you use it for converting internet videos

TCPMP has been skinable since around 2005. Almost all 0.71 versions were skinable. Most recently the PHENOM editions were skinable and they are over 2 years old. BIMBAM did not create the skin plugin the creaters did. Actually I know for a fact that the interface.plg in this build is an old plugin and not the one from BIMBAMs build.
so, basically this "version" is COOL because someone found reason to add magical(BS) word(HD2) lol?
you know what, that is funny;/
(-yea, i have BEST PHONE, said HD2 user
- mhmmm, fu. said PDA user).
now, let's wait for big sig named: DONATE.
that topic is clear offence for bimbam69, author of current tcpmp line, imho. and i agree with frmariam who pointed whole thing.
@pupakota
Thanks! As usual you are the (angry) voice of reason... one of the few left in this bleak HTC era...
@Porkenhimer
Actually you are wrong. Yes 0.71 had some skinnable builds and yes Phenom was able to find one of these (the 0.71g... he didn't develop it... he did some fancy Mortscripting though). But part of the skin components was always stripped from the official source releases (though a lot remained). bimbam69 implemented the missing part (I believe he coded it himself).
This is not a 0.71 build... it's one of bimbam releases (and not even the latest one). Notice the browser may still have the small items and old icons but the browser shows flv files (Phenom had to bundle his pack with 2 TCPMP versions because 0.71 didn't) and it has the same subtitle function built into the core components.
BIMBAM is THe Man
Sorry for all the fuzzzing... Im new here and playing around some weeks now on this and several other sites. I found this cab on hd2 forum and mobileunderground..And for me it works very good, no lags. I just wanna share this great peace of software with people who need a great player on their leo. If the maker or developer is BimBam all the credit go's to him...
Ps Hope leo will live forever. Keep up the good works guys and thanks a lot for everything.
Don't worry you didn't do anything wrong I was just dotting the "I". I was mostly pissed with Tech1.
anyone tried benchmarking this version???? compared to older builds????

I am sorry for form of my previous post..
I shouldn't drink and driv.. write, sometimes..
You guys seem to know whats going on/ what you guys are talking about.
I wanted to know whats the best TCPMP version out there for HD2, ive done my search and dont have a any thing conclusive,
Also can someone please tell me is there is there any hope for fluid MKV playback on HD2.
my avi's and mp4's of same resolution and bitrate as my MKVs play fluidly but my MKVs always stutter.
Please let me know if there's a patch or TCPMP or even Core player version that can handle MKVs with stutter.
Thank you
Upnp
Is there a UpNp-plugin or something like that for TCPMP? Or is it something i can make on my own?
Though this is kind of an old thread I'd like to point at the fact that the V2 version of netDrg's TCPMP had an unpleasant bug: Skipping back to the previous song actually skipped forward to the next song. NetDrg fixed this in his V2.1 version. This NeoXL version of netDrg's TCPMP was based on V2 so it too has the skip forward bug.
The 2 I ofund on here are real small at the bottom and it doesn't show album art.
I've used the following cab for a long time, and while the buttons are tiny, it has always shown album art.

I would also suggest trying Slacker Radio, if you have not already. It does the same thing Pandora does, but the Slack Radio WM app has much better sound quality, very finger friendly, and a bunch of built-in radio stations as well. I've pretty much given up using Pandora on my TP2 in favbor of Slacker Radio for these reasons.

Is this CAB different from the ones earlier mentioned? If so, I'ld like to try it out and would appreciate a link to the post that contains it.
I have Sirius, Slacker and Pandora. I find Pandora the most reliable. Seems that Slacker does not buffer at all, Sirius buffers some. I can barely get Slacker to play for me and Sirius is constantly rebuffering and it also does not always start back up after a phone call. Pandora always plays.
i actually just discovered Pandora last week, I canceled my Sirius, since i liked this so much, and i got pandora one, but it sucks that I can't find a good app for my phone, My girlfriend has a great pandora app on her stupid blackberry torch , i'm jealous. I just want a good app.
The buttoms are so damn small on this one.

Search quickly found the thread, but based on the comments about losing the album art, I'm afraid to try it!

Only reason for me to change from the CAB I posted earlier would be to get bigger buttons.

Thanks, i've tried that on and every other one i found on here and all same problem , no art
HTC TP2, T-Mobile
WM 6.1
Most Sense stuff turned off
I do remember that the Slacker was just for WM 6.5. Maybe that is why mine does not work well. But is also did not work well before the new release.
My Pandora is Version 1.0.25 and it shows album art. Buttons are tiny, but they work. It does not show in the list of active tasks.
I do these steps for my installation
To get Pandora working on your Touch Pro / Diamond:
1. Download the Pandora.cab (mirror)
2. If you don’t already have it, download Advanced Config Tool 3.3 (mirror)
3. Install both applications and open Advanced Config Tool
4. While in the Advanced Config Tool, navigate to Network>TCP Window and change the value to 98304
5. Save your changes, and soft-reset.
6. Download This VGA/EXE Fix (mirror)
7. Replace the orginal .exe (in \Program Files\Pandora\Pandora.exe) with the one from the VGA/EXE Fix above.

We have Sirius XM and while it isn't free it is an option and there are a couple of WM apps that work and provide album art and over on the Android side (assuming you may own a HD2 too) Sirius XM's own app which works terrific. If you have a subscription it's a $2.99 add-on, however, if you don't I think it's $8.99.
I wanted an easy to download app instead of constantly looking for one that "works" on my WM device. My solution was to ditch Pandora all together.
Frankly Slacker.com and their WM6.5 app is just awesome. I like their service more than Pandora personally.
I will move to Last.fm when WM7 comes out as the integration with Xbox Live and the phone will be nice to have as Slacker and Pandora aren't offered on XBL.
Sorry but just offering some thinking points.
