mmhh I'm having some problems with this ROM, SMS & MMS entry don't appear in the Messaging windows, there's no way to acces to SMS & MMS.
Have somebody else the same issues..??
By openning the PocketCM, the application will be inmediatly closed and any error report is showed.

WM 6 destroys my pocketpc.../ how and where can i get the good old wm5 /please help!

dear all,
i'm a user of the xda trion. i bought an o2 (german provider) brandet handy on ebay with windows mobile 5. i loved my trion.
weeks ago i upgrade it to windows mobile 6.
that was definitly a fault: the pocket pc is very very slow, the keyboard doesn't functure and also the touchscreen identification for the pen is very imprecise...
how can i find the latest windows mobile 5 version for my pocket pc?
i searched this board, but didnt find answers...
i dont have a clue for "flashing roms" "downgrading roms an create files"...
please help me, im becoming desperate

There should be a couple WM6.1 ROMs out that will run fast enough for you. If you were able to get from WM5 --> WM6 its the same process to go to any other ROM. I would say before you give up and head back to WM5 maybe try the Binkys11 or MRH ROMs for WM6.1. I had the same complaint about the ROMs being too slow until I tried those 2, Binkys is a touch lighter and smaller (iirc) and MRH has a few more apps and tools. Im currently on MRH 5.7 while I wait for the new Schaps ROM.

but these are all (as far as I'm aware of) English ROMs.
for a german version, you can try Schaps WM6 ROM version 3.57a that you can find here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=318849
be aware that if you upgraded your device to the official WM6 without reading the wiki about the hermes, then you at least have to hard SPL your device before you trying any other ROM.
if you need more help, just ask...
NOTE1: If you had a look on some of the threads published here, you would find many ROMs announced... the links I posted here are only few threads under yours.
NOTE2: DO NOT download any ROM or any software before you read its features till the end, since the developers may include some notes about flashing or installing their ROM/software.

i read a lot in the xda-wiki and the threads where is flashing roms is descriped.
now i'm very frightened of bricking my ppc (i also read about hard spl)
is there someone who can talk german with me?
that would made my first flashing more easier and more safe.

I understand your concerns about bricking your phone which is where the Mr Vanx guides come into their own(www.mrvanx.org).
If you are wanting instructions in German to ensure you don't make a mistake why don't you copy the guides into your language using an on-line a language converter?
If you are careful and follow the guides step by step it is hard to go wrong.

oh man i really need some help...
1.) i tried to see wether or not i have the right spl version:
"Take the device (powered on), and press and hold the side ok button and the power button, then insert the stylus into the hole in the base of the device. The screen will show the tri-colour bootloader screen and your IPL and SPL versions will be shown."
...even that doesn't functure...i press the ok-button, hold it, then i also press the on-off-button, and then i just put my stylus in the hole...but the device just boots and i see my normal windows envirement...and not the tricolour screen with the spl data....???
2.) then i just thoughtkay, just install hard spl on your device...
and checked: ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/Hermes/Hard_SPL/ no version works...i always get the error message that this programm cant run...
only when i use romupgradeUT.exe...the programm runs but to me it doesnt look like to be the programm which installs "hard spl" to my device....it says "sspl rom flasher"...an it doesnt fit to the guide from www.mrvanx.org...
or can i use it as a programm to not brick my device?
i really followed the step by step guide...
please help me, im getting crazy

und zwar gleichzeitig miteinander mit 2 Fingern, und jetzt noch mit dem Stylus in der zwiten Hand die REESET-Taste kurz drücken und halten bis die TriFarbScreen kommt.

I too am very new to having a Hermes (one week), but I was able to SIMS/CID unlock my phone will no problems. I used the Hermes unlock (see attach thread)

Anyway, it was easier than unlocking my Wizard. But more can happen with my Hermes.
You might want to go up a step in this forum to the Upgrading section and not the WM6 the first two posted pins for unlocking is what you really need to read.

now i can see that i just got spl 2.03...
but, as in the thread is written, its not enough...
i need the version 2.10.olipro...to not brick my device and up ord downgrade my device with roms safely...
an that is my problem, no programm can be used from the "hard spl thread"...
can somebody help me out?

I've never been happier than 6.1 on my jasjam, if you want out of the box try CRC 9.2 or a bit of tweaking try CRC 11 on my signature. Both are on that page.

No ACC-streams with Gingerbread?

Hello everybody!
I have a little problem/a little question.
I´ve flashed Cyanogen 7, which is based on Gingerbread.
And now I´ve tried to open some ACC radio streams...the links are from yourmuze.fm, and should be opened on my Desire with XilliLive.
That was no problem before when I had a Froyo based ROM (Cyanogen 6.1.1) on my phone.
But now, the app could not open the stream any more....it tries and tries, but nothing happens.
Does anybody know why this is not possible with Gingerbread?
By the way, sorry for my english... ;-)

There is no Market app on my Defy.

My comment was that some people seem to be purchasing phones retail that were originally designed for markets (like Saudi) where they do not allow the market app. May not be the case here.

Anyway, I had the same problem. I downloaded 3.4.3-3 GB from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=965846
Then, no market of course. So I downloaded Crazy Rom from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=967295
And now I can use market again (can run market app, can download, can install apps no problem).
But with that ROM, Swype was missing. So I went back to the 1st I included & downloaded the Swype fix.
Hope that helps.

Just FYI, I just flashed to this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=978792 & everything works (no blur though). The only thing I missed is the ability to sync contact pics from Facebook. For that I used T-Mobiles Social Buzz (lost the link though). Less headache than 3.4.3-3 GB.

Hallo leute , bin neu hier und hab ein desire hd .
Ich habe vor einpaar Tagen mein DHD gerootet und s-off gemacht mit hilfe von aahk . Soo jetz zu meinem Problem . ich will mein Handy wieder unrooten und brand entfernen so das ich das ICS update bekomme und auch noch bis zum ICS UPDATE das sense 3 update will .. Kann mir eine helfen und sagen wie ich das am besten mache ? Danke schonmal ...

My German is not that good so I hope you understand my reply.
I assume you're still running a stock ROM and as far as I know you will still receive updates. Only thing you will loose root after updating. I'm not 100% sure maybe someone can confirm my opinion. Another question to you, is the ICS update already available in your country?

If I understood you correctly, you want to return your ACE to the stock state?
If so, AAHK seems to have an option for returning S-ON. And as I remember, you only need to flash some of stock PD98IMG.zip for returning everything back.
Personally I had a DHD shipped to android 2.2 so I only needed to return S-ON and wait until the flash process is done. But I use a tool named "Easy S-Off" whick had this option. And after PD98IMG I had no ENG HBOOT and stock rom with number of 1.32 (early way for getting root and s-off). In your case everything can be a bit more difficult.

LordClockans IceColdSandwich rom is brilliant. It's based on AOPK 4.04, and its fully functioning except video camera.

Depends on what you want. There're lots of them. IF you want Sense 3.5, use can use Runny Xtreme Surprise
It's a good rom, i'm now using it. The only thing is - there can be troubles with bluetooth. If they have place, just flash another kernel, for example RCMix 12.
If you want android 4 without sense, try IceColdSandwich
I was on it. Works normal except for video recording and sometimes there can be graphical glitches which are solved by killing an app where they are.
Also you can use something like MIUI, but now it's better to use a gingerbread version. This rom can be found on official site MIUI Site
