Does anyone know if these guys publish their dump as well as the ROM?
I've been hunting everywhere for a dump of anything newer than 19209 - with no luck.
The 19400 one that was posted here earlier has some major issues

Just installed it . Its very fast.
It has 3G Dialer , MMS , and SetAcoysticParam in preconfig. This should be seen in screen for about 2 minutes. If not do a Hard Reset again (=Clear Storage from settings)

From a very non-demanding user, I did not experience _any_ problems with 19400, but always like to learn... what kinds of issues are you referring to?
(I just use it for PIM and phone calls.. no data, no messaging)
Been running it for 4 1/2 hours, no problems to report. Quick and responsive, no HR's (and I didn't make time to flash the AT&T, just went full tilt boogie from the 19701 (which I really liked) to this one. It gets better and better, IMO.
Great job.
One thing I have not been able to figure out with these ROMs, I can set the Regional Prefs (in Settings) to English(US), but dates are still shown as Day/Month/Year in most programs. Is there any way to switch that to US style, or is that just the nature of these ROMs based on their origin? (or have I just not found the right setting to change)

i've noticed that too on some of these WM 6.1 ROMs. I just go to the date tab in the regional settings and change the date display type to something other than what is selected. Then, switch back. That takes care of the date display issue in other apps.
Ok.. its bad when you begin to think your changing your rom more than your underwear!
With all seriousness, These PDAVIET roms are the most stable I've used in a while (no offence to other chefs) I dont think im going to bother upgrading from the 19701 rom, unless there are any major changes.. its just sooo stable and fast

Totally agree.. although dont get a lot of time to actually learn to cook... studying for mcse at minute which is eating up most of my time although its nice to understand in more depth how to set up push email etc... guess it has its advantages

but you also have to realise that a higher build number for one HTC device does not necesarily mean that its newer than current ones for the hermes.
the highest hermes build is 17742.X whereas wizard might be 179XX, but the hermes build is newer.

it can be ported on the hermes, but my point is that even though it has a "higher" build number, it does not mean its the latest official build for the hermes.
also, this ROM is in japanese too, not WWE english.

When i release it you will be able to see that i use almost all SYS part from that build. But i had to use wwe mui (from 17736) and some other files to build wwe version.
To tell the truth i didn't see any advantages of that build..just quite stable and fast as 17736 or 17740.

I have received word that this WM6 build 17913 is not an official built, in otherwords its been faked...... and the work that went into faking it was more than a HEX edit.

Oh the joy's of Microsoft build numbers, they seem to make it impossible to tell whats newer than what even if people are faking/hex editing roms
there is no hex editing... newest OS is 5.2.1413 (Build 17913.0.3.0)
I ported the coredll.dll to universal and changed the original JPN OS to CHS for a fieand
Compare the new Office packge, it is definitively new

in my opinion? I find it relatively comparable. No data to support it, but I find it close.
I'm drawn to it because of the SMS threading... I'm cheap and easy

I think it is damn quick. I've been testing my ROM before release for around 24 hours, and response wise, it's probably the quickest I've ever seen from anything. I'm really a big fan of it. To say that I bundle in all I do, and still have 67Mb storage, it's a great feat.

I have been trying to install a stable rom to my hermes but i couldn't find one yet ;
i have tried Pays ,Shadows (TE &CE) and some clean edition but still i get stuck in some cases ;
if i have HTC home plugin installed my device freezez quickly ; and also it freezes mostly after waking device.
I have read the forum and as my unprofessional conclusion it is somehow releated with WM 6.1 builds . Does anyone have experience with this ?
PS:i have upgraded my radio and tried to install official rom before ins. anything.

I am a ROM freak
I've tried some of the listed ROM's.
I was hooked on vp3G's 3.62 ROM for a while.
I was then hooked on TNT 2.0 --> TNT SE (Stable but still didn't have the cool look)
I then tried K's ROM (very nice looking but buggy) --> I currently have the K's FINAL Full (6mbpp) (very nice looking but stable)
This has been the most stable and responsive and over all satisfactory of ROM's i've tried so far.
As far as Radio i'm still trying to figure that out. I've switched between 1.40 to 1.54 and not i'm currently on 1.48 (i believe this was the radio used with vp3G's Rom)

They are all beta ROMS, install at your own risk. But stability wise some of them might be better than others. Good luck!
I mentioned a lot of times in my 3.00 rom thread that the main software is beta. But the development of my work is final.

I tried the latest Roms from Pay and Faria.
With both i had several hard-resets in the last days.
Which 6.1 Roms are you using?
i use N Pandora 9b1 (it is windows 6.1) and it is fast and stable , no hard resets

+1 for Pays . I'm not a power user (no data plan), so I want some basic functionality, only very useful apps included, and lots of stability/reliability. So far Pays ROM is my pick!
As Microsoft doesn't seem to want to mention that WM 6.1 even exists, maybe it is a pile of crap, and they can't get it stable enough for general release? There must be some reason why they didn't even talk about it at MWC 2008.
Could be that they haven't finished comparing all the ROMs on XDA-Devs to find which one they want to use!?
I have tried a few of these new ROMs. Randomize seemed good, but it ended up freezing at second boot screen and would not do anything. Also, no bluetooth explorer.. Now onto CRCs PHK v12 Release 6. All good so far - fast, stable, reliable. Easily connects to wifi, activesync, bluetooth everything. Have a few apps running ok. Not interested in HTC Home, so have Samsung clock instead. Have no complaints except that Solitaire is missing! Have compensated by installing a Gameboy emulator with heaps of games...

that's what I second. After using Schaps for several months...and before Jas' black varieties..
Well I"ve always Stuck with the Notion that if it Doesn't Say FINAL on the Rom Release update... It's Still in Beta and the Dev is Still Working the Lil bugs out and Tweaking Still also Schaps Rom says "Schap's WM6.1 Pro 4.40 Beta ROM - 31-01-2008" lol Pretty much self Explanatory lol But most of These 6.1 Roms Will be in Beta .... Look for the Final then you know it's Sweet
This is something I've been trying to figure out myself.
I see numbers like CE OS 5.2.1620 (build 19521.1.1.0) and CS OS 5.2.19199 (Build 19199.1.0.0).
From what I can tell, CE OS 5.2.19199 Build 5.2.191999 is the RTM build, but I've yet to find anything that lists an official RTM version number from microsoft.

Just flashed, runs fast and nice, but i can't get my motorola HT820 a2dp headset working. i think that is problem of srs wow hd, which is included in that rom. Can someone post default registry keys for HKLM\Drivers\builtin\BAa2dpSnd ?? In this rom they are like in HKLM\Drivers\builtin\WaveDev and it has never worked for me....

Just flashed, runs fast and nice, but i can't get my motorola HT820 a2dp headset working. i think that is problem of srs wow hd, which is included in that rom. Can someone post default registry keys for HKLM\Drivers\builtin\BAa2dpSnd ?? In this rom they are like in HKLM\Drivers\builtin\WaveDev and it has never worked for me....

Now it locks up on the Today settings? Not having fun anymore..lol
EDIT:: I installed a non-Big Storage rom first then reinstalled this rom. So far everthing is working great. Tweaked and installed most of my stuff.

I actually really liked the rom but I had tons of hard resets. Could I be having the same problem, maybe the ext-rom not being there?
This is a good rom.But there seems to be a bug with htc album.Whenever I click on its icon my gadget hangs and I have to soft reset.Anybody having the same problem?

reflashed with Vp3g's last rom (non-bigstorage) and then reflashed to this rom. After that, all has been well. I've installed everything, tweaked it, setup exchange etc. Set my alarms. That seemed to do the trick. Let me know if that helps. Otherwise my phone was locking up and hard reseting till I performed the above procedure. Good Luck.

I enjoy the XDA Hermes forums very much, particularly the WM6 section. After all, what is more fun than installing different Roms on your Hermes? However, there is one thing what I find troublesome: finding a good Rom, and finding the latest stable version of it. It is sometimes difficult to see the wood for the trees. This, however, is good news, as this means that we have a vivid community!

Indeed, black and diamond are hot (unfortunately). However, Binky11's rom (27 May) has a beautiful WM7 theme (especially with SPB Mobile Shell WM7 theme). You could as well install Poorlyduck Vista Suit (google XDA forums), which gives you the Vista theme.

v11 at the moment is the stable release. This is for people who rely on their phones and is tested quite heavily...
v12 is the development (or Beta if you like) release... It is bleeding edge and eventually when deemed stable becomes the next stable release.
I'd hate to have people that rely on their device using a beta ROM
EDIT: Oh, and this thread really should be stickied.....

You'd need to run it through the washing machine a couple of times and you will get a clean rom, geez man, try and have a play, then you will find the best ROM for you.

Just look through the rom list links in Post #1...basically they are all clean! It's what U do with them after flashing that's important....
