Hi all, I’m new to this so I’ll apologise up front for my lack of knowledge. Is it possible to upgrade my xad’s OS ? it currently runs on WM5 on an O2 tarrif, the IPL and SPL are 2.21. If it is possible is there a tutorial and software to do it? I would i like to put in something like WM6 on to it

Hi all, i was just wandering, is it possible to Upgrade my Orange SPV M3100 to windows moblile 6, I already have the Hermes Vanilla WM6 upgrade files, but i was just wandering if anyone has tried it on this device, whether it works or not before i attempt to install it.

First of all what is the Orange SPV M3100? If it is not a HTC UNIVERSAL, then you can't use any of the ROMs under the Universal thread.
M3100 = HTC TyTN, Hermes etc... the ROM i have is named "Hermes_WM6_vanilla" When i run the installer it has a picture of the M3100, if thats any help
You are in the wrong forum dude.
These ROMs are particular to the model of phone, please don't flash with any ROM other than those built for your phone or you'll brick your device!

Hello, i hope somebody kindly help me for this problem.
I was upgrade my XDA IIS to WM5.0 few days ago. After that found out this software is not suitable for my IIs.
Then i trying to downgrade to ORIGINAL ASIA WM2003SE ROM. That was a Error come out and cannot downgrade it.
The error is <ERROR 150: ROM UPGRADE UTILITY ERROR>. I trying many thing also cannot solve this problem. Even i using BA_WM5_Downgrade_pack also cannot. And i cannot find any thread to solve this thing in XDA-DEVELOPERS too.
Anybody can teach me how to downgrade my XDA IIS to Original WM2003SE ROM pleasE?

Hi, I have xda orbit which I bought from o2 and is still on o2 running wm5 and following details when I reset the device:
IPL 1.25.0001
SPL 1.25.0000
GSM 02.67.90
OS 1.25.0.0
I would like to upgrade this to wm6 or wm6.1. Can someone advise me what I need to do to upgrade to wm6 or wm 6.1?

upgrade to wm6 is easy, bcoz O2 has provided that update, but not sure about wm6.1 coz it never came on O2 site(http://www.o2online.de/nw/assets/blobs/software/xdaorbit-windows-update.exe). I am not saying its not possible but the will be some trick involved to do so.... CID unlocking.... blah blah...
I have done the wm6.0 update but now looking for wm6.1.
Why dont you update to wm 6.5, its just as fast as 6.0 and the last cooked rom from shady has more then 30 ram free. In WM5 (1,5 years ago for me) my free ram memory wasnt that high!
How do we go with that do you have any idea. i have Xda Ordit (NOT Xda Orbit 2)
Could you please guide us (new comers) how to go about without getting into trouble (bricking).
What all tools or s/w do i need for this. Just to let you know its once been upgraded that too with the one provided by O2 itself.

aha, thats no easy answer yes.
Well the waranty will be gone yes, since its not a official rom.
But chance of bricking is small.
Better read here on the fora and first learn a bit more about this, read the posts of some threads in the windows mobile 6 section.
