Any MODS thought of using the "thank you hack for VBulletin". The 100 pages per thread of "Thanks for this!!!!!!! LOL" is awful.
Here's a link to the hack from VBulletin

Looking around the forums, I haven't seen too many "Thanks!!!1!!!11" It might just be because Prophet owners are more refined than the rest of the forum or maybe I don't go looking for it but either way it doesn't seem ton be a problem!

i dont agree with you in some sense ; not only the post like +1 are much but also troll s (people who posts everything in order to become senior member) are very common nowadays;
i think the rep system might work. i was once an admin of phpbb forum we used this system ...

so much hate. maybe no one wants to reply because they didn't try out the image?
It would be nice if the forum would implent a auto resize feature for pictures.
it will give a nice clean look to the forum, example: http://www.overclock.net/photography/484676-rate-photo-above-you.html
It will also be a nice improvement for people with small screens.
This feature would be greatly appreciated.
I think it's a good idea, although i don't know if it's possible to implement in this forum. Looking forward to seeing what others think...
its the same forum

+over 9,000!!!
It does bug me when you go into a forum and it's filled with massive images. It's as close to spam as you can get without actually being spam!
no admin here yet?
for me, everything is ok
dude u serious?
i'll post a image like that is okay..

I haven't seen a thread about it, but in this thread each post has an up-vote and down-vote button. I thought that was interesting: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1477138

Yup, it's a trial of a new system
Well thanks for this piece of info.. I just stumbled into the Galaxy Nexus General forums and was confused by the button. Eventually I was pissed off that they were the only ones with it.. Now, this explains it! Thanks!
Saved me from wasting time and posting a thread in that forum asking about it...
great idea
Any possible update you could give as to the effectiveness of it and if it might be spread further soon? Thanks!
I was just thinking about starting a thread asking for this..... It would save all those pointless +1 posts. Also it would save on this post as I could have just up voted the one above me instead of asking if there is an update on this?
Used to be I could come on here, easily pick a device, go to the ROMs subforum and voila, I found what I was looking for. Then the device search got moved to somewhere that made very little sense... Now it seems every device just has one forum and good luck finding your ****.
So, dear xda Team, what made you think this garbage here was a good idea? Did you hire a designer away from Google or Facebook? Did you think "Geez, these people are dumb enough to buy the same crap from phone makers every other year, let's see how convoluted we can make our own site and have them take it anyway?"
In short, maybe I'm just getting old but god damn is this site painful to use...

Did you try using filters on new flat forums?
