where can i find display for artemis?

try ebay

thank you

http://mobile.brando.com.hk/

i just replaced my screen with one ebay 30$ screen(hong kong) - works nicely.
Just be sure that it includes touch screen as well - most of the case they come together.

Did this take long to do?
Any problems in the process of changing screens over?

Some ebay screen offers include the T6 screwdriver so you can change the screen DIY way.
I ordered screen without the T6 and choose the easy way out - local gsm and phone shop did the job ( cost in estonia $30 dollars ) .
edit: one thing that bothers me - in direct sunlight it impossible to see the screen..even when the brightness is at its full potential. I dont remember was that the case also with the old screen.
Its really hard to read anything from the screen outside. Other wise the screen is crisp and looks the same as the old one.

I change my Screen a couple of days ago both screen and digitzer (touchscreenpart) i hear that it was hard and ivolved soldering to change only the digitizer so i bougt the screen with digitizer and i followed a guid to take my artemis apart i useed the green plastic tool the torx tool that was included but after a while i relized i neede a smal "cross + " screwdriver (is that called philips) and had to turn my house over to find one but when i found a working one it took about 20 minutes to get the new screen in place. works fine except that i need to use alot more pressure in the top right corner to activate the ok or close tap than i need in the rest of the screen don't know if that is becouse of the screen it self or my instalation or a software issue but it work and i rather push a little harder using my artemis then having it laying around at home with a broken screen.
I have the same bad in sunlight thinngy with my new screen but i will live with it.

i ordered another screen from ebay ( a little more expensive - promised to be ORIGINAL HTC screen?! = ). Will let you know how this works in direct sunlight.
Users with original screen - can you read your HTC screen without problems in direct sunlight if the brightness is at full level?

you can see more here:

ebay screen
just try ebay with 'display p3300', I got mine for about 40 us dollar shipping included. it works fine and there are a lot of manuals for dissassembling the artemis. just google: 'disassemble htc p3300'.
watch for the following: the artemis doesn't have torx 6, but torx 5!!! trox 6 won't work.

I was on service with my Artemis and is not the display with problems, the motherboard is broken. Where can I find such part?

You can find the LCD screen with touch screen at http://www.RepairsUniverse.com. It includes fitting guide and ships direct from the US, not from HK.

It doesn't involve any soldering to change only the touchscreen as far as I can see. You can plug the touchscreen cable in the display, just like you plug the display cable in the mainboard.

Broken screen on my artemis

Hi you guys, does anyone know if you disamble the artemis easy and replace the touch screen? ( i was mad and smashed it, i kind of regret it, i know i shoud get anger management !). The phone is working fine, since i can connect it to my pc, the only problem the screen is black!
any guys any ideas or experience?
thank you.
hi, depending on which part you have broken, will depend on how much it will cost. Its fairly easy to change tho. If you have a look in the Wiki there is a guide to repairing the Artemis.
There are two parts to the screen the 'touch' bit on top (digitiser) and the actual LCD screen. If it is just the touch bit that has broken, then you can get a replacement one for around £7 on eBay. If the LCD has broken (which i am guessing it has caus u said it is just a black screen) then you can get a digitiser and a LCD for around £30. It is easier to replace both, as it is just a unit which is stuck in with double sided tape. WARNING: the ribbon cable which plugs into the main board from the screen is VERY fragile!
Hope this helps
broken screen
there are two different screen modules available for the Artemis. They are NOT interchangeable. In one case touch-screen module and LCD screen are seperate and in the other case they are both integrated into one module.

Bjorden
your gonna have to open it like i did, and find out which screen!.. also the touch screen is replaceable but its a ***** to do.. just get the whole screen on ebay 40 usd lcd and touchscreen very simple plug and play

Broken LCD Screen, replaced it, now touch doesn't work

OK, so I dropped my phone and the LCD went out, I hooked the phone up to the laptop and the phone still works fine, even the touch screen works. ( I used My MObiler to see phone screen on the pc).
I bought a new LCD screen off of Ebay and replace it, now, the LCD screen works, but for some reason, the touch screen stopped working.
When I took the LCD apart from the touch screen, there seem to be a layer of grease of some sort between the touch screen and the LCD. I wiped it off with a lens cloth, don't know if that caused any problem.
Also there is a dark film (tinted) glued to the touch screen when looking from the back, what is that for? I looked at replacement touch screen on Ebay but none of them have the tinted film layer. I've search all over the internet for instructions but can't find any.
So my question is, what are the correct procedures for replacing the LCD screen and the touch screen (digitizer) ? Also after I installed the new LCD screen, the screen is very reflective and the glare is really bad, how do I fix that problem?
Thank you experts!!
You should have replaced both the LCD screen and the Digitizer. There are complete kits on ebay as well as instructions/tools to complete the replacement. Did you purchase the digitizer also?

I went ahead and purchased the digitizer by itself after the original stopped working. Hopefully, it will get my phone back to normal. Thanks for your reply!
in the wiki theres disassebly instructions of the device that should help you (but you probably already know that since you've already switched out the LCD)
In my experience, i have never replaced either the digitizer, or the LCD by themselves, i've always bought LCD+Digitizer and replaced them as one. Seems like the Digitizer is usually glued onto the LCD and i never wanted to mess with that.

I should have ordered the kit instead of just the LCD. What lead me to order just the LCD is when I hooked the phone to my pc and confirmedthe digitizer still worked. And since this is the first time ever I disassemble a phone, I assumed the two things were separated.
But my digitizer should come in tomorrow so I'll just have to wait and see. Thanks for the info.
where did you find a guide to take apart the TP2? I just had the unfortuante luck of smashing mine in the car door as I got in....it fell out of my pocket the exact moment i was closing the door....
My screen is shot, but other than that the device appears to work. I can power on, and try to dial after I press the hard key for the phone pad. The touch portion seems to work, but from your luck, I guess I am looking at having to replace both...
anyhow...any advice on guides and how to find the stuff on the ebay would be apperciated.
I still have 18 months of a 2 yr contract....sucks....and it sucks doubly becuase i just took the insurance off last month....grr..

Here's a photo guide of the disassembly of a Rhodium (TP2), it might give you some insight. There's also been a number of threads in this section about hardware parts and the screen/digitizer in particular, listing places where people found/ordered replacement parts.

The disassembly instructions are here: http://translate.google.co.uk/trans...ka/htc_touch_pro2/&sl=ru&tl=en&hl=en&ie=UTF-8
I did not follow those instructions since I did not want to open the back of the phone.
What i did was I tilted up the phone and used a very small screwdriver and unscrewed the two screws from an angle (it worked).
Then I pried the back of the tilting part of the phone all around to reveal the inside. Be careful not to pull too hard on the flat cable since it's still attached to the back (body) of the phone.
The LCD and touch screen are glued together (I didn't know that before). At this point I would remove the tape that is attaching the flat cable to the back of the LCD, and also lift up the clear yellow tape and detach the three connections.
The widest ribbon is from the LCD, the medium one is for the 4 hard buttons in the front, and the little one is for the touch screen.
I would suggest wearing some sort of anti-static wrist strap (I think I fried my touch screen along with the flat ribbon that is attached to the phone while trying to replace the LCD without anti-static wrist strap).
Once the whole tilting part is freed from the phone, I would carefully push the whole screen (digitizer + lcd) out from the frame, again, they are glued to the frame but can be removed fairly easy.
That's it, the install is reversed of removal and hopefully yours will work again.
Like I said, I think I fried my flat ribbon so after replacing the Digitizer (it came in today), the touch screen still doesn't work, so now I'm looking for that part, I'd appreciate a link to it if anybody knows where to get one.
Oh, and for the parts, just do a search on ebay for "touch pro 2 lcd" or touch pro 2 lcd + digitizer"
Gook luck with your phone!
What tape to use to stick digitizer back to inner bezel/chassis?
Hi - i got as far as trying to replace my Digitizer only to find that the LCD was stuck to it too. So as clever as i am (not) - i tried to remove the LCD off the digitizer - but that just ended up cracking it.
So i'm in the process of ordering a LCD with the digitizer - pre-stuck together (i hope!) - but my question is:
When i removed the digitizer off the front bezel, there was this spongy sort of double sided tape... i assume it was used for a reason and not just any ordinary double sided tape (presumably to allow a bit of leway between the digitizer and the bezel when pressure is applied to the touch screen)...
Any thoughts on what sort of tape this is? - here's some photos of my digitizer and the bezel:
zedii.co.uk/DSC_0002.JPG
^some of that tape is left on the digitizer... it's the black spongy stuff...
zedii.co.uk/DSC_0003.JPG
^i cleaned (removed residue of sticky tape) in the inner part of the bezel where the digitizer would stick...
Any specific tape to use that anyone knows of?

I wish you had asked before you ordered the digitizer + LCD, since I ordered mine separately, and they seem to both working ok. The digitizer does not have to be glued to the LCD. But anyway, I just used plain old Gel superglue to glue the digitizer to the bezel. I used Gel superglue so it won't run into the electronics beneath. Things seems to work just fine now.
One thing to consider when you crack open the whole phone though. Be careful not to loose any part from within the phone, because apparently, I lost something, now my accelerometer doesn't work, and my screen doesn't rotate when you slide out the keyboard. Hope it works out for you!

Thanks for the advice adp9626! Well in summary I think I've just been messing about too much and being stupid really.
In the end, I managed to just remove the top part of the screen without actually having to break into the bottom section of the phone.
I was a bit concerned about the whole sticking of the LCD to the Digitizer part. I actually did purchase them separately, however I was not sure what kind of glue was used to stick them both together - as I recall it was a nightmare to try and remove the LCD off the old Digitizer.
So I returned both separate parts (got a full refund as I didn't use them) - and now I am looking to purchase both parts stuck together.
I'm waiting on the guy on eBay to confirm that they are both stuck together. I'm also thinking of using double sided sticky tape to stick the Digitizer back to the inner bezel...
So that's the final plan! I've been a bit silly in rushing with ordering parts etc. but I just want to be on the safe side now - well - at least with the LCD stuck to the Digitizer part.
I will take your advice on the gel superglue if the double sided sticky tape doesn't prove it's stickyness!
Thanks
Zayd.

I ordered one from this guy and it works great. it comes with the entire top half of the phone and the keyboard. There is only one left so you may want to hurry. Link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=270583335455&Category=20336&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26its%3DI%26otn%3D2
Edit: I wanted to add that they're are slightly used so there will be scratches. The one i received is a little more scratched than my original then again the scratches aren't noticeable when the back light is on and you're getting a working screen.
Just my experience, I had a faulty LCD, digitizer was OK. Bought a replacement LCD off ebay, delivered from China but only cost me £20 inc delivery. Arrived with tools as well (T5, T6, philiips, and pry tool). Followed a couple of disassembly instructions online, took me a while to get all apart but managed it. None of the instructions online go through actually taking the screen out, I thought I'd messed it up as I took the back half of the LCD off and left the front bit on, and I couldnt get it off at first. I ended up using a very sharp scalpel to slide between the LCD and digitizer and got them apart eventually, as I didnt realise that they were glued.
Anyway, I just placed the screen on, no glue as there is a ring of sticky tape around the back of the digitizer which holds the screen in. Connected everything back in the end and its working fine. Only prob is I think I damaged the power/standby button, so be careful when around this area.
Touch Screen not responding after replacement
Recently, I replaced a glass screen on a SGH-M919 Galaxy S4. Previously, during the process of cleaning the glue residues off the LCD screen; I rubbed it with rubbing alcohol and it removed a small streak of the adhesive glue off left side of LCD screen and bottom right corner. After installed the new glass screen, I noticed a few spots of the glass screen wasn't sticking onto the sticky layer. So it looked like it has big air bubble between the glass screen and LCD. And I could see the rubbed off streak on the LCD screen. Everything worked fine with the new glass screen, with the exception of seeing the streak and bottom right corner rubbed off.
A few days ago, I had a table clock fell on top of the phone and broke a piece of glass. Nothing happened to the LCD screen and still functional 100%. So I got a replacement glass screen - the same as the first time replacement. With noticing of the rubbed off streak and corner of the adhesive layer on the LCD screen - I decided to rub off all of the adhesive layer from the LCD. I sprayed some Goof Off liquid on the adhesive layer and left it over night. Next morning I continued scraping off the glue with a small plastic card. Cleaned off all glue residues and examined the LCD screen for any scratches or damage. There was none. Re-installed new glass screen - but now the touch screen does not respond to the touching on the icons. Only the Home, Menu & Back touch button work. I was baffled after this.
Could it be that because I left some the Goof Off liquid on top of the LCD screen over night and it might have leaked to the other side and shorted out something? I saw a few forums that suggested a Factory Reset. I did that - but still didn't work. Please advise on what I need to do to fix this problem.
Thank you in advance for the advise or suggestion.
So you know that these are the TP2 forums, and no one has used this thread in the last 3 years....right?
LCD digitizer replacement.. now black screen
I saw the for replacing the LCD-digitizer of my nexus 4 phone, and followed the steps carefully. After I placed the battery, I checked to see if the phone turns ON and the display is working before I complete the last step of putting the back coverplate. I successfully switched it ON, saw a perfectly working screen, and browsed through my apps. To complete the assembly, I put the back cover by gently pressing the frame along the edges, but suddenly I saw some yellow green lines in the middle of the screen. I switched it off and again switched in ON, but now the entire screen had light with no display.
To fix this, I tried again checking all connections but no luck. What could be the reason for the sudden loss of display when it worked perfectly fine moments ago? Is there a possibility that I damaged the LCD while putting the back cover on the phone?
I am also not sure about one of the ribbon connectors of the digitizer. There are 2 big ones which are prominent and has ports to connect. However, there is a little third one which also has to come through the gap but doesn’t connect anywhere. Has anyone also experienced this while replacing the screen? Any help will be appreciated.

How to Replace your Scratched Galaxy S2 Screen DIY

I have searched high and low for an answer on how to replace a scratched screen of the SGS2 by yourself and have finally found the answer.
This will definitely VOID YOUR WARRANTY so don't say you haven't been warned.
I suggest you only use this guide if you were desperate like me. My phone didn't come with an official warranty so I was as good as screwed if I wanted a new screen.
Step 1: Obtain the part
Just ebay for lcd screen and digitizer galaxy s2 (however u may wish to buy it with the faceplate see below note). You want both the super amoled plus screen and the digitizer together. You can get this for about 120-130 USD.
There are some vendors that sell just the 'lens' but you need a specialized machine to replace it and is simply not worth the trouble.
Note that if you go to an original Samsung service centre, when they order the part, it comes together with the face plate and is therefore a breeze to install. This part is for sale on Ebay too. http://cgi.ebay.com/LCD-Touch-Digit...312?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a682b9ad0. I would recommend you to buy this type instead of just the LCD and digitizer.
Follow this disassembly guide (not mine).
Now using a thin metal flat tool with a wide flat surface area, dig at the small gap from the top of the screen and pry the screen from the frontplate. It is held entirely by double-tape so don't worry about any screws, catches. Be careful of not damaging the bezel in the process.
Clean off the old black tape and double tape as best as u can, and be careful of the bottom buttons. The attachment shows how it looks like after cleaning it.
Reapply the double tape in strips and try to shape it to fit as much as you can. This is tiresome but necessary since the adhesive behind the lcd screen is very weak and you don't your screen falling out of you halfway.
Push it in and it should stick. That's it! Then reassemble.
Confirmed working!
thanks for the write up, do you have any more photos of your process?
OMG, it's like watching an autopsy.
Could a better resolution screen or even 3d screen be used/upgraded later on?

Hope wont be necessary. How did you scratch the screen so hard that it had to be changed? I tought the Gorilla Glass is almost unscratchable.

Unfortunately not at this time. I will do it the next time around (which will be soon as there is a slight imperfection with my button sensitivity so I might be inclined to try it again) but trust me it's not a beautiful process. Needs lots of guts. Nothing technical about it. Shove the flat tool in the gap and keep on loosening the glue as much as u can then take it off.

It's more like cracked. I dropped it on some rocks from waist height and it cracked. It seems that gorilla glass is not shatter proof. There are also some scratches/mini cracks from where the rocks cut it.
Lesson learnt, get a screen protector that hopefully will reinforce it a bit more.
I wonder how these replacement parts compare to the quality of the original parts.

There some listed as Super AMOLED+ screen just search on ebay or even drop the sellers a question about their iteams.
It is a Super Amoled + screen (don't see any difference in quality between the old and new one). Most sellers don't really know much of their products unfortunately but they do say it's original and I do believe mine is.
There's no Samsung print on the front plate but it does have a part number which corresponds closely to the original one. Everything else looks exactly the same, even the black sponge at the back and the microchips have Samsung wording on them.

Dropped SGS2 from bikemount : broken screen.
OK,
I broke my screen this weekend. I was on a bike tour with the SGS2 mounted on the steering bar. For some unclear reason, the universal holder came off the bikemount at 25 kmh... Dropped on the paved road, and although still in the universal holder, which is made of soft rubber (which I would expect to break the fall), the screen of my beloved SGS2 was cracked !!! Apart from the cracked screen, everything else seems to work as before.
So, today I ordered a replacement set with bezel from aliexpress.com at 148USD.
When I get the part, I will try to post some pictures of the replacement process.
I had an HD2 before ... just sold it last Friday :-( ... I think over a period of 1,5 year, I dropped the HD2 about 6 times on hard surfaces ... also it fell off my bike once ... the HD2 never broke.
So, is it just bad luck this time, or is the built quality of the SGS2 just not as good as the HD2 ?
Regards,
DirkB

It is very easy to do. Just unclip each component and transplant it to the new case.
I have to do my friends one this weekend as he has dropped it and damaged the screen and the bezel .
I have managed to source the screen and the bezel for him all as one piece .
Now all the guides i have seen just rip the phone to pieces , surely if we have the right bits like i have bought this fix is very smple to do??
I am thinking it is just a case of undoing the 7 screws at the back of the phone , opening it up and then disconnect the screen cables from the mainboard . Does the whole front then come away??
If not i take it i have to undo the screws on the main board to release the screen? but this means the componets of the main board may come loose etc??
Has anyone that has done this got any info on just swapping the screen with the complete part? when i say complete part i mean the one that comes with the bezel and home button etc like this

+1 for me.
I received my screen including bezel.
I've removed the main board just like the guy in the Youtube video.
But now I still have to transfer (from original front to my new front):
- the bottom PCB (where the microUSB sits)
- the camera
- the speaker
etc ...
I can not find a description/movie of how to do this ?
The bottom PCB for example has 2 screws, but after removing them the PCB itself looks like glued to the front assy'.
I prefer to see or get proper instructions before starting the rest of this adventure
...
PS : I got my part from aliexpress.com within 2 weeks (via airmail). It's with the Samsung logo on it and the package included all required tools (screwdrivers) to do the job. Would be nice to see some written instructions included as well.

Broken Screen + Digitizer?

Hello there, I've had this phone for about a good year now. However, back in January, I broke the screen. The touch does not work (except for one corner) and the screen is very badly cracked. I looked online for digitizers +LCD's, and I found a lot to choose from. I heard that its best to get one with the frame in tact, which I cannot find. My question is, How would replacing the screen work? How do you put the ribbons back together if you pry them off? (wifi antenna as well.) I would love to use this phone as my main one again, I am currently using a Huawei Ascend Mate 2. Its a good phone, but I loved my Find 7a. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
A friend of mine bought in China through Ebay, a screen with the digitizer to World Tradin or something like that, it cost about $ 50.
We did the screen replacement following a guide in iFixit, it was for replace the motherboard, but you can us it and when you reach the screen, it is removed after taking off the plastic frame that holds it (with care, it's fragile ). Double sided tape is needed to attach the new screen.
In YouTube you can find a guide for the screen replacement for Find 5 which can be used for reference.
It is easier than it looks.
Good luck. :good:

Where to get huawei mate SE screen replaced?

Hi all,
My screen is cracked on my huawei mate se and I have no luck finding a local shop that replaces the screens on these models. Is there any reputable store in the states that would replace the screens?
You will most likely have to do it yourself. It's nothing hard to do, beware and check for reviews about the LCD and maybe choose another besides the one from the link.
Here is a how to: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OkhtI7QhjbE
Here is where to buy it: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07BF7TV94/ref=twister_B07BF95WHR?_encoding=UTF8&th=1
Hope it helps!
If you look on amazon you can find a ~45 dollar screen/lcd replacement that comes already in the frame. The option above doesn't look like it comes with the frame. Doesn't mean it's no good, just more work. You'd have to clean the glue off your frame to glue your new screen in place. I can't imagine it's terribly difficult to do but for an extra 15 bucks you can find basically a plug n play option. I just ordered one and replaced mine. Easy peasy. Took 3 days to get here. Pro tip- Install screen and boot phone before complete assembly to test functionality of screen and all other functions e.g. camera, fingerprint sensor, vol/power etc. The fingerprint option completely disappeared from my settings menu. Turns out I forgot to push down the tiny clip where the ribbon connection is. But since the phone wasn't fully assembled it was easily fixed. G/L.
This displays are very bad quality, where can I find a original one?
