Posting about a new application - About xda-developers.com

Hi,
I'd like to post about our new app for WM (Pocket PC/Pro). Is this acceptable behaviour on the forums and, if so, where should I post?
Thanks,
Sam

OK, so you say you're not a newbie.
You post a question which has been asked loads of times before.
You post it as a new thread instead of appending to an existing relevant thread.
You post sarcastic comment to the community as a whole because we didn't answer your question in your timeframe.
If this is your normal behaviour maybe I understand why you are the only person talking to you
for your information i did post it in threads talking about this topic but did not get an answer only then did i post it in a new thread. i have been developing software for a long time so yes i am not a newbie. I am new to the hermes though i admit. I was only irritated at the fact that i posted under another thread then had to create a new thread for yet no response.

And this is related to "Hero Android Development" in what way?
You don't need to spam the same post across all the forums!

Mango rSAP App

Is there a way for any developers to make an rSAP app?
Moved to WP7 Software development
Requests for a app to be developed go in software development. Please post in the correct section in the future, thanks.

Why 10 post before be able to post links ?

HI everyone,
I have found topic about 10 post before be able to post in dev fora.
but none about 10 post before be able to post links, so why a such policy ?
Don't just reply to avoid spam, we all guess that, but it could be possible to automatically monitor new user, and if the post a lot of link a modo will be alerted to check him, you could also in this automated function include banned/suspicious rule url. so like that modo will be notified before anyone trigger the alarm

Why?
Because that's how it is..
I mean is 10 post that much that you needed to open a thread for it ?

Thx but "Because that's how it is.." don't really reply to my question.
and no 10 post is not too much but when you want communicate an url at your first post (and without you post mean nothing) then yes 10 post is too much

Just get 10 posts and then post all the url's you want you said it its not too much so there is no need to make a thread for it...

As you may see that XDA is a huge site do it won't be very easy to moderate every new link new users post. Also, there is a restriction from posting in Development forum but that doesn't mean that spams are allowed in other forums. Most spambots have intentions to promote a specific site or advertisement, sometimes profane things, so as to check against it, this rule has been made. However, you are free to suggest something better of you have it in your mind

It is to prevent spammers from posting links. If you want to post it before then, you will need to post it like http: //xda-developers.com. People will figure out how to make it work.
Since you are new here, you may want to give this a read: [GUIDE] - XDA New User Guide - Getting started on XDA

Reactive checking of individual users is simply not possible on a site this size - spammers would spam to get their links visible for a few minutes. The simplest solution is to prevent users with less than 10 posts from posting external links, full stop. This puts off spammers.

[Q] How to create New Thread in Paid Software Forum for Newbie?

Hi guys, I'm newbie on xda-developers, but I like this site. There are many people full of desire to help each other.
Also I'm newbie in development mobile application, I've released few application for Android. But my applications are better and better .
Recently I've released "SQL Tools" for Android, it's a good application useful for IT people (system administrators, developers, owners of web sites and others). It's unique application which can perform backup & restore sql databases, analyze and fine-tuning config file of sql servers (MySQL, PostgreSQL). I haven't seen similar application in Google Play.
So, my problem is: I'd like to publish review in Paid Software forum here, but I registered on forum.xda-developers.com recently and I'm not allowed to create a new thread in this Forum. I don't want to violate the rules of Forum and publish this review in other Forums.
Who can help me to post my review and then refer to me as owner of the application.
Thank you very much.
