My Universal's Customized Extended ROM

Many people are asking me what I throw into my Extended ROM since I play around with tweaks and CAB files. Well, I decided to finalize most of it and make it available for public consumption.
Mind you, I have a Qtek 9000 (Universal) which I flashed to the JASJAR CE ROM which appears to be more stable, O2 XDA Exec Radio ROM, and the mix of CAB files from various devices plus my own concoction.

how do i undo this cab? when I click my start button and close it I get a ghost of the bottom half of the menus stay on screen...pls HELP :?

How flash from spv m5000 to jasjar ROM
Hello, I think I understand and apreciate your explain. but firstly I have to remove from the extended rom the .cab from orange and to add your files .cab, and then to make a hard reset. so after that my spv m 5000 will change to jasjar. sorry but I don't understand if with this files that we have to inserted in the extended rom will change my spv m5000 to imate jasjar. could you explain me that?

hey, can any one pls help. I really don't want to do a hard reset again...Spent alot of time getting eveything set up nicely. I need to know what reg setting I need to change to undo the cab i installed above!!! :shock:

This will return the GlyphCache to 2000H (8192 bytes), the standard.

Just a small question: how can I modify the file Default_Unsigned_Regional_USA.sa to change the regional to Australia? Of course, if regional is Australia, the date format is dd MMM yy

I had to search for the particular keys that get changed, then set them in the CAB file.
Since I don't remember offhand what keys get changed, you can try opening the CAB file with OCP WinCE CAB Manager (www.ocpsoftware.com) then look in the Registry section for the keys and values.
Next, go ahead and use the Regional Settings to change to Australia and whatever else you need.
Then, use Resco Explorer or another Registry Editor to see what the new values are and pop them back into the CAB file. Done!

I do not seem to be able to find the following cab. Is it missing or have I gone mad?!?

"contacts program" problem wm5 blue angel

Hi everybody,
First I thank all people here.
Second : I’m asking for help concerning :
"The contacts program on blue angel device"
When I tape the button on the right corner untitled contacts: the program show up for less than one second and then disappear.
When I use SIM MANAGER to copy my contacts from my sim to my qtek9090. A window when I can read “Saving data”, show up. But nothing happen.
Does anyone have similar problems?

If you copied your backup pim.vol from previous version of WM2k5 like AKU 2.3 or previous, it seems there is an incompatibility. The only thing you can do is following what was said here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=279925

but I've juste upgraded my rom to the AKU 3.2, and I didn't copy my backup "pim.vol" (I don't know what it is !!!! but i didn't import anythings from my previous configuration).
All I want to do is: open the contacts program that's all!

This file is in the root (\pim.vol). If you have Resco Explorer, just click on my device, and you should see the files that are in the root. One of them is pim.vol. The file you have is maybe corrupt, so just rename it and do a soft reset. The pim.vol (contacts db) will be recreated by the contacts application. Normally you would be able to open the application without any problem so!

Just upgrades dash to 6.1 need quick help..

hello i just upgraded my dash to 6.1 it works great i only have a couple small problems the first is, when i try to text my keys dont work correctly for exm. if i hit the "e" key it acts like the "2" key so it types an "a" anyone know a way to fix this ? also how to do i add myfaves to the phone?

just copy the cab to the root folder: active sync>wm based device
this will put it in your my documents folder...then just use a file explorer and run the cab...works like a charm (whatever that means)

Beginner cooker problems

Hi there!
I'm a beginner cooker and need some help with few things that I can't solve with myself
My ROM is based on WM6.5 build 61222 in Ervius Kitchen 8.0
1. Copying the files in File Explorer doesn't work... First I tap on specific file, then I select "copy", then I want to specific the path in the top left corner, f.g. from IS to maim memory and then it crashes...I don't know what to do
2. Opera9.exe and AlbumSearcher.exe are active all the time in Processes list in dotTask Manager. I have to kill them but after SR they appear again. Isn't it something wrong?
3. After every SR calendar and contacts are poping up... how can I solve it?
4. I want to set the softkeys (I'm not using Manila or Titanium) so I made registry key, but I don't know what is the .exe name for contacts? For sure it's not poutlook.exe because it gives no reaction. So what .exe should I put into the registry file?

2: there's a registry entry you need to add for opera to exit on closing; google for this one
3: check your init/and-or startup

1. Total Commander is an alternative program but I want to fix the problem with builded-in File Explorer. I want my ROM to be free of bugs as much as it's possible.
2. It's not problem with closeing because opera9.exe is there at the beginning, after every SR even if I didn't run it.

Programs position fix for WM 6.5.x?

Does anyone know how to correct the position of programs in WM 6.5.x builds (with big bottom taskbar) ?
I've searched and I've found that is a registry tweak, but nothing sure, or more details.

As far as I know (and do), you have to use a program to fix it.
It is found and documentated here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=4492692&postcount=3494
In order for it to work you have to retrieve the program's window class' name (which can be found using, for example, FdcSoft Task Manager.
If you have a registry tweak, this could interest me anyway as this fix is a background program...

I've installed that program but I think it only works for some type of programs (it didn't worked for Resco Explorer beta).
Right now I'm using Christian's latest ROM. After a hard reset I've installed Resco Explorer 2010 Beta, and after one soft reset, the program displays correct now.
I don't know if Christian included that fix in the program, or if WM corrects the position if you install one program and soft reset, another one and again soft reset, and so on...
