Dear all,
like users I found the volume too low while using headsets. How can I increase the volume ?
I think the issue has been solved by someone's with a patch, modification of the REGISTRY...
Thank you very much !

Does your post mean, that my question is a little bit ridiculous ?
I agree
I have the same problem and I tried several applications and no one works some times I use the loudspeaker as headset with low volume to hear the caller.
I hope to find solution soon.

News?I need to change output volume for my headphones...the original sound of thc is little slow.....
I think this is a hardware issue

I use this attached cab, it seems to help a little, but maybe it's just a placebo affect... use at your own risk...

Yes, try to use another .wav-s, which are louder. Jasjar has no volume problems, but default sounds are very quiet. I use my own ringtones, which are so loud that my friends hate when it rings, they are scared then. Or You can edit the volume of the high-middle frequencies (3-5 kHz) of the default sounds with a sound editor software (for ex: Sound Forge), and normalize to 0dB. It will be much louder.
just upgrade with last M5000 ROM (June Upgradeà and it's Ok

I don't think between ROMs there are volume differences. I think You maybe forgot to check volume level with the previous one.
nope I have tried everything before upgrading including Regestry twicks
I have a 2d SPV and same problem
Been wondering if editing certain values in AudioPara4.csv would help increase the volume output through the Headset? I did edit the files of system/etc and came up with the following flashable zip. There's also a stock one to revert back. I did test both but I'm too sleepy to notice a difference (Yeah, it's 8.30am here and didn't sleep a wink yet!). So if anyone would like to help, test the SOUND.zip and see if you notice a difference- and please report.
If it doesn't, flash back to STOCK SOUND.zip till further notice. And if anyone else would like to input any relevant info, that'd be helpful as well.
And please don't talk about Volume+ or equalizers, only looking for an internal mod that'd help with system wide volume boost.
Just for info, the only lines I'd edited in the Flashable zip is the hex values (to higher values) in Column H of PHONE_HEADSET_VOL0 to VOL5 (Row 77-82).
No difference. Not only this have tried many other tweaks but nothings helps. Stock sound is good on headset. What I want is some tweak for speaker ( it really suck )

But if you meant that as a temporary fix for the user peace.nitish, then I guess you're right. Volume+ does provide a significant boost (Avoid hitting the levels too high, may distort)- and is available for free on the developer's webpage.
As for the etc files, they may need some more looking at! Will post an update if I find anything useful..
i think all boosters/volume mods only harms speaker.
standart volume is enough to hear if someone calling you.
if you want listen to music, buy headphones.

Well, only on the lookout for a fix to increase output in the headset and not the speaker. The speaker is loud enough if you ask me, the headset could've done better.
I've modded outputs on several phones successfully (including a Sensation, Desire HD and HD mini, of the HTC line) and there are always values which will harm your speaker AND values that (if edited reasonably) would increase output without distortion to a higher-than-safe official value.
Editing the AudioPara4.csv file for devices such as Aria and G2 have proved a higher output. And I'm pretty sure it is responsible for the output on the WFS as well. Just needs some more looking into.

Can anyone tell me the best volume booter for Htc One X, which just make its loud speaker loud when getting calls, playing music, but also not distort/crackles the sound due to more high volume ?!
have tried volume+ 1.9.0.1 booster, does some changes but doesn't increases the volume, maybe slightly though makes sound more distorted..
Any help would be highly appreciated
Regards
use the following sound enhancer, best so far....

check the other link i left for you but why would you want the sound volume to go higher...it is loud enough as it is..anyway hope you find the solution anyway or the app you want..for me the volume is loud enough..hehe my ears bleed how awesome the sound and volume is
but anyway really that mod is good and it does make a lot of difference specially if you want to play around with the equalizer..and if you do listen to alot of music then try poweramp...play with the equalizer and volume does get alot higher specially if you untick the limit volume from settings

i am sorry let me clear i am talking about the loud speaker of the phone, not the in-ear... in ear is amazing as hell i love them i am using klipsch s4 with it,,, but i am missing alot of phone calls as its loud speaker volume is low(vibration is good but doesn't impacts well on skin (if kept in pocket), by which we can notice a call is coming. And if playing video songs on loud speaker, many plays fine but some stutters/crackles(keeping sound enhancer on) a little and few mp3 songs also gives this problem even as they cannot get sound enhancer on(maybe due to good quality, but songs downloaded for free or something)
fair enough..nothing else that i can recommend then..volume plus is the only one..and from trying to search all the results lead to that...sorry dude

plz don't be its perfectly alrite, thank u so much for ur efforts i appreciate every bit of it ... I just have to depend on its next update .
Edit : getting my phone replaced, had some rattling/crackling/distorting speaker sound issues too
are there any software or modification that can modify the number of steps/levels of the in-call (earphone) volume. it looks like there is only 7 steps/levels while others (music volume and etc) are 15 steps.. so the lowest setting on the in-call volume is rather too loud for my IEM... I searched around for volume control, found Fine Volume Control but it does not work for in-call volume.. I asked on the developer's thread and he mentioned its not being developed anymore.. so I'm hoping someone here would be able to help..
the only alternative i can think of is getting a in-line volume control..but was wondering if there are any software/other solution to this?
Thanks in advance.
There is a build.prop edit for this (if i remember correctly) , but it changes it system-wide if you're ok with that (media volume, ringer volume, all sound volume steps are changed)
I will update my post as soon as I find it and/or remember the exact code.
In the meantime, search build.prop increase volume steps :google: and see if you can find it, this definitely exists though
Thank you.. I didn't know there is such a thing as build.prop.. I found what you meant.. Thanks.. it gives me a reason to root my phone.. =)

No problem :good:
Hello all,
There have been various remarks that the sound volume from the Moto G5 (Cedric) both on headphone-jack and speaker is somewhat low. Before rooting I tried to boost volume with some of the Apps available in the Playstore. I could not find significant improvement from using these Apps.
Now I have rooted the phone.
Could somebody out there advise whether I could dive deeper in the software to increase the volume, preferably with a modification which stays in place with flashing nightly updates to the (unofficial) LOS ROM?
Thanks in advance already for feedback received.

Easy way
Try this app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.phascinate.precisevolume
Harder way
Try changing the values of system/etc/mixer_paths.xml to increase volume of speaker and headset - do small increases to values
Note unless this change becomes part of the rom zip it will likely replace this file when you flash new rom zip
TheFixItMan, thanks for advise, I will need to go for the less persistent harder way and experiment somewhat with the values there.

Sorry to hijack the thread , but I'm having issues with the headset , when I'm in a call ,people can barely hear me .
I've tried 2 different headsets that work well on other phones but when I plug it on my moto G5 , I sound too low , I have to shout to them to hear me.
But the phone mic works great.
I wander if Mr fixitman can help me .
I've found a thread about it here on the nexus forum , they can encrease the headset mic gain , not sure how to alter the XML file on a moto G5..different from the nexus. Any help will be most appreciated as I use it while driving.
Here is the nexus thread ,if that's any help.
