I'm new to this realm. I just purchased an XDA exec off ebay. I use it with my T-mobile service. It came with wm5 and I want to upgrade to wm6. Can someone tell me how to do this? It has an HTC sticker on the inside if that helps. Also, how about toucflo? can this be done to this device?

Hi there, can XDA IIs be unlocked? and how?
HELP PLS.
THANKS
AFAIK there isn't a way to unlock the XDA2s (& PDA2K, QTEK 9090 etc..) yourself YET... hopefully some of the guys will figure out a solution, as my XDA2s should arrive soon, and I wouldn't mind being able to use my Orange SIM in it
It may be possible if you use the following string:

It worked for me, make sure you read and understand how to use it. As always doing anything to your XDA II may turn it into an expensive paperweight. I unlocked my XDA II with this and i had no probs (unless you mean the "blue angel" or XDA III).
I am planning to get a XDAIIs in a very short time coz I will be travelling overseas 1 week later.
Because of that I need to unlock my XDAIIs......anyone tried to approach O2 and get his IIs unlocked (for a fee or whatever)?

Seems XDA II can be "unblock", how about IIs?
Thanks everyone!
PS: I can't see MDA III from T-Mobile UK on its website, or in shop few days ago, is it really released in UK? If it is unlockable for 15pounds I am happy to pay for it, but I like the black colour of IIs more.
Thanks again!
Hi all, newbie to the forum here.
I too like the black casing of the XDA IIs as opposed to the MDA III, PDA2k, etc. and would like to know if it's possible to unlock this phone.
I'd also like to know if, once unlocked, it's possible to put a different ROM on the device, like the imate PDA2k ROM or the UK MDA III ROM.
In reading through the forum, it seems that there's not much information about the XDA IIs yet, but any information that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Hello,
I am going to probaly purchase a O2 Xda IIs phone is there anyway I can update the OS on these phones.
Thanks
Trinity
I got an Orange M700 and I upgraded to WM6 without a hitch.
Looking at the specs for the XDAII you don't get Wifi, GPS or 3G. You're going to want this to be able to take advantage of the new OS.
it does have wifi http://www.my-xda.com/comp.html

You can find it at ebay. e2shopstore sells housing for imate jasjar, htc uni, o2 xda exec.
Check out the link here, this is for O2 XDA EXEC, but they have another color .

that is exactly what i was looking for. thanks.
G'Day have been using a Blackberry for the past 2 years but in changing jobs I have handed back the BB and just bought myself a DOPOD P800W off eBay. Prior to the BB I was using an i-Mate PDA2k EVDO and before that an O2 XDAII.
As I wait patiently for delivery of the DOPOD unit I wanted to confirm a few things.
1. Am I correct in assuming it is the same unit as the Artemis?
2. It is running WM6.0. Will I need to run a patch to access >2gb memory cards?
3. As my purchased applications are for WM3 I presume I'll need to upgrade them for them to run on WM6.0?
4. Anything else I need to be aware off in regard to this PPC/Phone?
Thanks.
Ed
