Hi,
i'm currently facing one problem is when i using the hypercore to cook my rom, i can't complete the compile when i'm press the play button at BuildOS.exe. The error message that i get is " External component has thrown an exception". In the same time, the bottom of the BuildOS.exe window have a line of wording "Error, last creating initflashfiles.dat"
can i noe how to solve this problem? please help because i really wanna try to cook my own rom like putting input OEM package and the chinese support.

Look at your log.txt within the TEMP folder.
Did you edit your initflashfiles.dat?

2/22/08 Links have been pulled and no further support on this base.
Thanks for everyone's support - but 6.1 isn't ready for mainstream use.
Watch for future releases.
Suggestions:
Extract everything into one folder.
In that folder, you should have:
OEM
SYS
ROM
TOOLS
BuildNB.bat
Sweet stuff matt.
Will give it a run at some point, should be working great if PN8b3 is anything to go by.

I'm not a big fan of superstorage. Will I be able to use the 3.62.3 base rom and keep the ext rom?

Nope. I think the ROM folder from bepe's 6.1 kitchen (V1) isn't big storage, but I need to go back and read through his thread to check. Hope to have some options soon
I've used the older version of this kitchen before no problems. Just loaded this one and it builds my os fine I pick all my stuff as normal then close the window and I get a error report window that buildip.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.
Any ideas?

May need the runtimes in post #2 of the Naked 8b3 thread (in my sig). If that fixes it I'll move the link over to this thread.

Run the runtime app in the Naked 8 thread second post (see sig). That should let it work on your machine. If it fixes it, let me know and I'll move the link over here.

Not yet. There are a few modules that are decompiled and on other software packages that I've tried to re-merge, the results have not been good.
I hope someone like Duthroy (who's done many others successfully) will get the chance to do so

Flashes okay, but Pandora 3G Black Dialer has no button graphics except for the video button.

Thanks mattr that did the trick. Run through with no problems at all. Will report back to let you now how it works.
Updated everything I can and I still get the same error..
Hi, I'm still having a problem with restoring SMS via PIMBackup (even v2.8). I even tried restoring them with SPB backup. The inbox appears empty, although the message number (552 messages) is shown on the bottom. As other users have reported restoring successfully, I believe it might have to do that I have 2 subfolders under ''inbox''.
Anyone got an idea on how to overcome this?

Ah, ok. It must actually use the .gif files rather than the png. this one had bugged me for a while...
I'll upload a new package for testing and update the OEM Pack if it works.

Looks like it was missing registry keys in the base. I added them to the package.
Here's the updated package - if you can test I'd appreciate it and if it works I'll add it into the update.

Problem: After installing language support whenever you get a new number and want to add it. As soon as you click on the add screen the following screen comes up:
Up to this point every thing is Ok. The problem when you click on the Name to add data [First or Last] the background is white and the font color is white. This makes impossible to read what you wrote
Suggested Solution:
1- Develop a Cab to change font color.
2- Or Change a back ground color.
I really appreciate help in this issue. Kindly help:

Last, I am using Arabic support with same problem. I am willing to give a copy of any files you request to find a solution.
Sounds to me like a font issue, not a graphic problem. I suspect the font you've installed to get Arabic or Hebrew and right to left write/read has a white background to it, or the file controlling it does. I wouldn't have the faintest idea how to fix such a problem. Try messaging the creator of the language support file?
Hello< im not a noob but i need help okay i lost my dash yesterday i had 6.1 my girl gave me her old dash and i updated to 6.5 okay on the CHome config i created a new panel with all my games now this is the part i cant figure out< every time i type in the link i want it to open it doesn't like

you could also just click the 2nd softkey button that say menu and select the first option change url and from there find the app in you file manager and place the link that way

im not developer or programmer but im so interest in developing android applications , i prepare my PC to that by downloading JDK , SDK and eclipse , i know how to use it and create the UI for app by XML in eclipse , my problem in writting the java codes for the objects in app for example , i know how to create button or text view or edit text but when i want that button to do action on click for example to save text to SD , I HAVE TO WRITE JAVA CODE FOR THAT SO WHEN I CLICKED THE BUTTON IT WILL SAVE THE TEXT TO SD , i dont know how to write java codes , is there is soft ware that perform that or java code generator to give the code for any object action i need , just finish the XML and give me codes directly . or i have to learn JAVE first then go for app developments

I'm not on here as much as before. But I thought there was directions for this on the Norma thread. Go check it out, and try to search for it. I remember seeing some kind of directions. Because the op creator was limited on time and provided directions for others to accomplish. I'm not sure how detailed it was though.
Or this might get you by. The advanced power menu is in the services.jar file. Here's the guide for adding it normally. So maybe use this, but look for the Chinese text to replace.
