try GOOGL'N remote display control host. i useit to control the ppc from the desktop. it shows thee 240 x 320 window, and uses the mouse as the stylus to operate the device..
I could upload the file if you can't get the download for it.
i also posted it plus pics of it on this thread:

Try this, pocketVNCServer. You will need vnc client to connect on your pc. The IP Address should be 169.254.2.1 that you need to connect to.

Or try NTRsupport
I always use NTRsupport for controlling my Hermes from my Windows desktop.
Check out www.ntrsupport.com
It's commercial software but essential for professional support as you can do the support from anywhere in the world as long as the PDA (WM5 and WM6) and the Windows desktop have an internet connection.

Why not try my mobiler. Its a freeware and an excellent program.Go to this site :
http://www.mymobiler.com/

Yep, MyMobiler is the one. Its excellent and free.
Simply connect as normal using ActiveSync, then run MyMobiler. Then click connect.
Hey presto - the smartphone/pda screen is shown on your PC screen and can be driven using mouse and keyboard. Screen rotate also works. Its very good, and very easy to use.

Thanky you for this hint! It's excellent.

I use Pocket Controller Pro..
it has some other control beside remote display...

TrueConnect
I've found TrueConnect to be the coolest PC control app of my mobile device - you can move your mouse from your PC desktop onto your PDA as if it were another screen... very impressive and there's SMS integration with outlook. There is a small charge, but well worth it.

Remote VNC Client

anyone know where i can purchase a VNC Client so that I can install it on my 8525 using WM6 Black Edition 1.2 ?
Thanks.
Doesn't VNC work with a web browser? If so, what happens if you try accessing your server that way?
-Steve
well yes, but you can have the server installed on your pc, and have the client isntalled on a remote PC... I used to be a previous Palm OS user, and I used to connect to my PC at home using PalmVNC.
Is there a VNC program i can use that i can install on my 8525?
Here you go
Copy exe to sd card or phone and run.
out of curiosity, has anyone tried the remote desktop function in wm6??? i use the vnc for ppc also, and havent made a full commitment to wm6 yet... now that i think about it.. i bet you have to have remote desktop on the pc turned on... fk that
thanks alot man!!! works like a charm!
I'm using this one:
http://www.freewareppc.com/docs/netvncviewer.shtml

yes it works good... scaling is a B*tch but it works.... I like USING VNC better.
is it possible to extract the ".exe" files and have them displayed in the Programs area?
i just create a shortcut.... i take the file, store it on the card, tick and hold till your menu comes up, tick copy, then point your file explorer to windows\start menu\programs then in the folder tick and hold for your menu, select copy shortcut. From there i usually edit the file name so it doesnt say shortcut, then your done!
sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet thanks!!!! Im still getting used to WM.. Been a Palm OS user since May 05
Here's a GREAT viewer from RealVNC, freeware:

this is the one i use... it works great... but needs a little tweaking
Personally i use .net VNC Viewer and UltraVNC server.
.net VNC Viewer can handle server side scaling.
This means smaller image and less traffic .

Blue Tooth Remote????????

My lad has a sony ericson K750i and he has a built in app that means he can connect to the home PC and use the phone as a remote for a number of PC based apps such as media player, the desk top etc..
Has any one seen anything like this for the Orbit?
Under Windows Mobile 6 you can use Remote Desktop Service to Remote Control your PC, with Windows Mobile 5 it is Terminal Services i think. Other software, for example Remote Amp, lets you Remote Control Mediaplayers like iTunes or Winamp, so Yes, there is Software like that, and i dare to say, that these programs are much more powerful than the Sony Ericson thing is
I use tightvnc on my desktop computer and pocket vnc viewer on my pda. You simply need to install tightvnc on your computer, set up a password and set up my firewall to let me get in.
I use another tool to use wake on lan, with this I can even turn on my computer (need to be enabled in bios) when I'm in range and then access it. There are a few versions out there, check out the big freeware pages, you will find it. It's like you are using your computer yourself, everything can be controlled.

Just done a bit of digging on this and found it is in the WM6 Pro version but not in the standard version. Does anyone know if this can be retro installed on a standard version ?
Many thanks........
I installed it on my device, I didn't try to get a connection but the application starts up. I still prefer other clients, that's why I didn't try to establish a connection. I found the cab somewhere in another forum, I think it was Wizard or Hermes forum in one of those "kitchen"-threads.
BT Remote on k750i uses Bluetooth HID Profile and acts as virtual keyboard. It has nothing to do with Remote Desktop and is much less battery expensive than it.

There`s an application called "NET SUPPORT CONTROL" that makes magic. You can command everything of your pc from your phone or rather control your phone from your pc.
Salling Clicker ?
But Netsupport is something similar to VNC, but more options and it isn't free. imo Netsupport is a nice tool for a company that needs
remote controlling all the devices. we also use it in our company to support our clients.
I think he's searching something like Salling Clicker ?
Dunno this tool, it isn't free...but sounds like something you're searching for...
oh yeah, a free alternative would be nice
Cheers
So I was looking for something like this...
till now three solutions.
http://www.jaylee.org/remotecontrol/
free, over Bluetooth,
buggy but touchpad function works well.
http://www.sidesk.org/

less buggy. no touchpad but lots of easy customized shortcuts possible.
http://www.aacompserv.com/AACompWeb/Modules/PPCTablet/WhatIsIt.aspx
paid, over WiFi
some bugs, easy to use. easy customized shortcuts + touchpad function. has also kind of VNC function

My Mobiler works better for me as self installs the files.
as far as active sync remote it did work fine for me. but i prefer the My mobiler as is more versitile and doesn't require copying files from the windows mobile power tools to the phone
How to make it work!
To get Activesync Remote Display working on WM6, just drop the attached two files into the /Windows folder on the phone.
The PC program will still whine that it doesn't recognise the OS, but once you click OK, it'll come up perfectly anyway! I just make sure the two files are baked into every ROM I flash because that way I don't have to re-copy them after a hard reset.
Enjoy!
Thank you ! It really works !!!
Thank you, Thank you Very Much.....
is this like remote desktop except for the mobile? can u use the mobile to view full desktop OSes?
yes soti works good for me.

Nope....this is for controlling your Windows Mobile device from your desktop PC; you get a desktop window showing the device screen and you use your PC mouse/keyboard to operate it.
(My personal preference - as someone suggested above - is MyMobiler. That does the same thing as Activesync Remote Display - and then some...you can copy/paste between mobile & desktop, take screen shots of the mobile, etc.. have a look at http://www.mymobiler.com and see what you think).
Remote Desktop - for viewing/controlling PC desktops from Windows Mobile - is available in WM 6 and above, but it's got its limitations. You have to connect using a password for one, the scrolling is horrible....some people swear by it, but it's not for me
Hope that helps,
Mark.

Yup, I tried the Mymobiler too, it's wonderful, great job.

[REQ]App to control HD from laptop

Hi Guys!
A friend of mine has a Nokia cellphone that is connected trough bleutooth with his laptop. When he wants to sent a SMS, he simply uses the software on his laptop to quickly sent these messages. Also when he has an incoming call, a small pop-up windows appears at the bottem of his laptopscreen with the caller ID.
Is there a software that can do this for the HD?
Thnx!
I use mymobiler application...
Do a search with google
Or you can use

Thanks for the suggestion, pretty cool software, like a free premium version of MyMobiler, with remote task manager, remote registry editor, video recording screen actions, etc - HD-compatible, in English or French language versions.
http://dontknowme.at/http://www.spa...spedl3.php?revision=16491&id=akmc766&direct=1
But I think the threadstarter, quoting Nokia Comms Suite, is more interested in software with very similar features, and at that MDesktop excels. The other two allow you to send and receive SMS in a UI similar to Outlook Express resp. from inside Outlook 2007.

http://www.efficasoft.com/mobileexpress/index.html (free)

I came across TrueConnect from Raspberry Soft...
bot not sure about the name of the prog cos i didn't use it for long...
this basicly allows you to control your HD from desktop with your mouse and keyboard when you move your mouse to the edge of the screen - then the cursor appears on your device and you are good to go it is funny, you can customize which edge to cross to get to device (top, left, right)...
As far as I remember, you can even switch the program to display your HD's screen on your laptop's screen and control it from there.
So I guess it is cool - BTW google it...you should find it real quick.
Hope this helps.
PS: I am not sure about connectivity...I used USB2PC connection and don't whether there is another option...
SOTI Pocket Controller PRO is my favourite
very easy to use and even have suitable skin for you to choose
Thnx for all the fast responses! I'm going to check al your suggestions!
Check this programm from Swiss:
https://www.mobilehelp.ch/default.aspx?REF=ppcchns
Full control of your Win Mo PPC. It's not for free but I think it's really cool and helpfull.
