I am sorry if this is covered somewhere else, but I searched and could not find a definite answer. Can you flash your Hermes using Windows Server 2003 or are there specific issues with this?
i'm running windows 2003 standard sp2, and there are no issues at all.

I have AS4.1 installed and running on XP and XP crashes with a ialmrnt, audio, or some sys dll file error. This is while having AS connected through USB. What really pisses me off is when the BA isn't connected to the computer, everything is okay. I need to pinpoint what is really cause the problem. Does AS4.x crash you WinXP install?
No. Maybe it's something with your version of Office?
Well I found out it wasn't AS. BSOD'ed on me without AS activated. Either f'ing hate windows or Intel, one of the two. This is a new install, no Office suite installed, barely any apps installed. Only necessary applications for web design, ftp, and SSH. Maybe time to swich to Mac.
Thanks to the only person that replied. I guess people are right about members on this site only replying when they have something they need. You guys are great!
Works normally here.
No, it is very reliable, compatibility with my WindowsXP. Maybe your system is illegal copy.
Nahh.. works on a pirated copy too
ya i downloaded an illegal copy of activesync 4.1 from a warez server from china.
We were referring to a pirated copy of Windows XP

I don't think you understood my sarcasm. Oh China servers have what he was refering to also. Come on now, do you honestly beleive I would think it was a good or bad copy of the OS that was crashing it? Anyway, this thread was solved long ago. A bit late for anyone to start posting now.
Cheers.
what is it? i have windows mobile 2003, do i need it is it useful? thanks in advance :?
1: It's named "Windows Mobile 5"
2: WM5 is not for all devices
3: It's like an update from Windows 2000 to XP, you may update if you like (and the device is upgradable!), but it's not necessary.

There is a known Microsoft problem (they acknowledge it, but don't pretend to be working on it) that WinMo 6.5 will not sync with Outlook 2010 64 bit through WMDC.
Does anyone know of a solution or workaround?
Thanks

Use x86 version instead. There is no longer support for WM devices or services.

Thanks a lot for the response.
You helped me on another thread also!
I'm under the impression I would have to change the entire Office Suite to x86 - is that so? I'm nervous to do anything directly to Office because I bought my laptop with it preinstalled and don't know if I can reinstall it if I have a problem.
I was wondering if there is either another program I could sync with. Also perhaps there is something online I could sync with and then sync my outlook to that.
Thanks

I'd check to see if it is installed in the C:\Program Files (x86) folder first. Occasionally it is also installed there as well for compatibility. If not, then You might want to look into other syncing solutions.
