Basic WM6 Rom? - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam ROM Development

Is there a WM6 rom that is just.. basic? Basically the most stable version of WM6, with the least amount of applications/programs built into it?
I don't like the roms loaded with apps, I like the clean ones, where I can add and remove what I want.
Anyone have any roms like that?

Pandora Naked 6 is the most stripped down stable and fast ROM out there in my opinion. I have used Matt's ROMS for months now and they are the cleanest.

Cleanest I've seen is the DLight ROM's from edhaas.
Basic ROM with NO added stuff.

Any word from HTC about official Win 6.1 ROM?

Is there an official Win 6.1 ROM from HTC yet?
If this forum keeps pumping those roms at this rate I dont care if HTC can get their stuff together. HTC looks prety useless compared to ppl posting cooked roms here.

You don't understand subject of this threat, do you?
Its great people are cooking these roms and sharing them.
But, I just want a plain and simple official rom and install couple of progs I use myself..
Try the vanilla rom, its as close to official as you can get. I love official roms, there clean and stable but meschels vanilla rom is just as good. He doesnt mess, doesnt force his own tweaks on you, lets you do it.
Ive tried the B&B v5 rom but its over loaded with customizations and it runs way slow, compared to the official T-MObile wm6 rom. Vanilla is hella fast. Very smooth and optimized.

I agree 100%
ARTEMIS VANILLA 4.01 WWE ROM - WM6.1 Final 5.2.19199 (SDHC)
For me this one is better than the any official rom.
Cheers.
The vanilla rom is also only realeased when it properly works!

Try Atermis Vanila Rom
It is plain and fast.
I wouldn't hold my breath waiting on an offical HTC WM6.1 update considering how long it took them to release WM6.
I'd guess that might have been down to SDHC licensing issues
AFAIK HTC have not released rom with sdhc support or have they?
So any rom they release are inferior to Marks new Vanilla rom.

Noobi Needs Help

Even though I have had my 8525 for 5-6 months now I still have not flashed it with any ROM other than the AT&T WM6 upgrade. I really want to try a different ROM that runs smoother and has more available memory. Could someone please give a few suggestions for a good clean safe ROM I could try? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks
If it's your first ROM to flash youmight want to try a 6.0 before a 6.1 as some people (though not all) have to do a fair bit of fiddling with it to keep it stable.
This - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1731669#post1731669 - is what I use. (I try a fair few ROMs but always go back to an edited version of that ROM afterward.) Safe as houses. Mattk_r's done a really good job on the Pandora ROMs and kitchens.
Mate, we can tell you what we like BUT it will just be YOUR personal prefernce that finally decides what you want. So saying as chunkymonkey said, stay away from 6.1 until it is a bit more stable. Schapps, Pays, Faria,Dr Puttenham,Mattk_r and TNT are all good Rom chefs. Look in the wiki to find (it will probably take you a while to decide) so looks like saturday or sunday is gonna be full. Black roms are pretty good too but are starting to become old now as I believe the last was cooked middle of last year. After finding the chef you like you gotta decide if you want a rom full of 3rd party apps or a lite rom for speed.
As a Personal preference I like TNT SE. seems fairly stable with not too many 3rd party apps cooked in so I can use the apps I love. Happy flashing...
hey climber just last week I was asking the exact same question, but I had some experience, anyways I wasnt sure but BEST fore people like you and me is this ROM Schap's WM6 Pro 4.31 ROMs [WWE/FRA] its the best 6.0 out there and has a LITE version which you are looking for here is the link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=359458
Try Schaps 4.31 or K's (kin0kin)'s final win mob 6.0 both are very good win mob 6 roms and are generally easier to work with than 6.1 roms. Make sure you install hardspl (takes about 5 minutes) before you flash a custom rom

stock rom runs smoothest compared to others?

Hi!
I'm owning a Rhodium for 5 days now and tried several roms with it. I wonder if anyone else made the experience that the latest stock rom from htc runs smoother (especially manila!) than every other rom thats out so far?
I used the stock ROM a few weeks and now the win 6.1 Bxsteez TF3D 2.1 ROM and this is very stable, no problems found and .... it work faster than the stock rom. Many practical nice tools are build in. Perhaps the win6.5 ROMs with the beta manilla2.5 are not so fast, but these are test roms not finals.
I test one 6.5 with manilla 6.5, dont work in landscape and not super stable. for me, touchflo must work in landscape too. Try Bxsteez TF3D 2.1 - 1.03. Works without trouble.

The fastest ROM?

High time I changed the ROM on my Diamond. However there are really MANY of them and every cooker claims it's "faster, better, more badass". However, there is no objective speed test on all the ROMs. And here is my question: which ROM is the fastes though not ascetic (I mean, has at least the good, old TouchFlo 3D)? Please reply only if you've tried quite a few of them, not just one.
Start Testing.

try the one in my sig , it's quite old but it's the fastest (seriously it's the one of out of the hundreds of roms I flashed, in my opinion). That's because of it's build and a wm6.1 kernel. It's not a clean rom and it has Touchflo3d v1.
try it and let me know!

Let me know about it!
Hi,
I've tried a lot of roms and I cooked also for my old phone.
The balance is quite often the same eye candy features or speed
It meas that on the same phone the speed is conditioned by the gui you want to use...
Generally using the same windows version this the list af the fastest gui:
titanium
tf3d
sense 2.1
sense 2.5
in my opinion stat to choose you gui than your windows version...
6.1 6.5 or 6.5.x
generally a rom with 6.1 and sense 2.5 should be acceptable.
But a rom with 6.5 with titanium should be faster than the previous one.
but this depend also on the ability of the chef to cook the rom
To conclude I suggest the diamond lover rom with titanium is discontinued but the balance between features and seed is very good and the rom is very stable
if you like sense 2.5 donsalari rom is very fast but there are very few features and it's not completed
personally I don't like a lot 6.1 roms I prefer 6.5 for the touch friendly capabilities
I hope in other suggestions t learn different point ok view

Looking for best rom

I currently use pretty old SwiftBL, because i like it's speed and pure look
so, list roms that are 6.1 use touchFLO 3D(original one) and are speedy and new and doesn't come whit lots of clocks&whistles

I'm using this rom for a long time and it's very fast.
But it's wm 6.5.
