Hi guys... Hello for my first post btw
I have just got a XDA Orbit but i am really struggling to get on with texting using the keyboard/Stylus or the stylus transcribing. Anyway someone has told me that i can get a app called HTC Touch Pad for my phone that gives me a number keypad to input text with like a normal keypad on a phone... But i am really struggling to find it...
Is it still available?
Thanks again...
A Search for "T9 Artemis" would have gotten your result...

Hi all,
i've flashed my excalibur to 3VO.2.80.0925 and I'm trying to get my keyboardlayout to dutch.
I've followed this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=576175
I've got the T9 working in Word and notepad, but in the main window of the phone (like whem I'm dialing for a name or numbre), it stays in qwerty.
can somebody explain me how I can solve this problem?
Thanks
I have upgraded from the Touch Pro to the Touch Pro2. On the Touch Pro when I was composing a message using T9 and tried to enter a word my phone did not recognize, I could add the new word and continue on with my message. On the Touch Pro2 once I save the new word, I still have to re-type it into my message. So everytime I need to add a new word I have to type it twice in a row. Is there any way around this little annoyance? I am familiar with phone modifications like registry editing, etc.
Hi,
This is the only thing that is bugging me very much about this incredible phone. Anytime I send a text message in spanish using accents, the recepient gets a bunch of weird symbols and questions marks only. Has anyone experience this? and does anyone know of a way to fix this?
Thank you!

i've encountered the same thing.. but it was the other way around.. the messages i received were gibberish..the only solution was for her to stop using the accents..after all if we speak spanish we'll know what they're trying to say without the accents just like when we shorthand in english
the real problem is when my t mobile friend sends me a SMS in Arabic and I cant receive it even though we both have arabic support (Nexus One and EVO). Yet he can receive mine, with no problem.
I think its a sprint problem.
and its not cool
Hi guys, i just found that my tp2 suddenly can't send sms in chinese word since yesterday, it displayed sympol of question marks on my friend's mobile phone. I remember i did transferred few pictures from my pc and rebooted it for couple times because of lagging, could anybody know what happen to my tp2? Thanks for helping.
hey, have you installed the driver from HTC that allows you to type in chinese?
no, do you have the link?
Hey Forum,
I have had a HTC One X since release, overcome the flickering issue via the self-update... but now I have encountered a new problem!
When I receive a text message from someone, I sometimes receive part of an old message dating back a week and then it cuts out some of the new message so I get a completely jumbled up text message!?
I have never encountered a problem like this before. I have reset the phone back to Factory Default to see if this helps .... it doesn't.
Anyone know of a fix for this or suffering from the same problem?
If there is no fix I will see about getting a new phone. But.
I am on Orange as a network provider, but I bought it through Phones 4 U (in UK) via telephone. So I don't know if there is an easy way for me to get a replacement handset...is there???
I have no insurance on the phone, but I'm thinking of getting it then a month later *accidently dropping* the phone and claiming a new one. Is this a viable option...???
Let me know your thoughts.
Thank you for reading, hope someone can help me out. Flack.
im not sure i understand completely.
is the problem like this:
text 1 message body (from a week ago as you said): hi on way home, make sure dinners ready
text 2 message body (the new message): that dinner last week was really nice
the message you see (corrupted one): "hi on way home, week was really nice" or "week was really nice hi on way home"
is the above what happens?
Whoh

Hi Lawrence750,
It is an extremely hard problem to understand, but you have described it VERY well..
It is like: "hi on way home, week was really nice" for the corrupt message!
That is what happens, it doesn't happen alot, but it does happen and it is confusing at times!
Thanks for your reply.
You could try using a different sms app, it is hard to decide whether it's the network or the phone. If different sms app doesn't work, probably worth giving your network provider a call, they'll likely send you a new sim card at first which I guess would also have a chance at solving the problem
Btw are they mms or sms messages?
