I'm trying it right now, i'll post shortly.
Ok, flashed fine, I have 78.71mb or program memory after first boot, this ROM appears to be very fast, (although everything is stripped out). No more dial pad issues, everything seems great. Is there anything specific you want me to check?

nope, just wanted to make sure my XIP booted, looks like it does. thank you very much!
It should appear very fast I changed to 18mb pagepool, and the true 6.1 port seems to speed things up too.

Good to see you posting on the Vogue again. As always, I love your work. A few things to note:
- TouchFlo Icon stil showing up in Settings
- Cannot Adjust Backlight Settings (when clicking on Backlight screen will flash and nothing happens)
- If you try to activate the Cube, you will get an error on screen that will not go away without a soft reset (I know this is because of remaining registry entries for Biotouch) will post on this later
- Clicking on Device Information will just cause the animation cursor to go on and on (at least on my device) without ever loading any information.
All in all a good start. I know you don't have a Touch to test this on so I'm just trying to be an extra set of eyes. I appreciate your work so keep it up.

yes, but please leave my name in the aku reg key. (thats actually set in the xip now).
yes you can just grab os.nb.payload from ROM it contains the xip
my xip does not contain mencfilt.dll and uses boot_ms.rgu to remove encryption regkeys.

thanks. sounds like i need to move some stuff around in the kitchen. im hoping you all can help me with that i am trying to finish a couple carrier packages and ill post it.
just curious as to where i might be able to find the latest oem touchflo/cube? searched but...no dice.
thanks a lot.
EDIT: actually touchflo still seems to be functioning fine, but i am still obviously missing the cube. thanks.

also, just fyi, as long as you use the dpad, you can avoid the soft-reset. attempting to activate biotouch seems to merely disable the touch-screen until the error is dismissed.
idk if that means anything whatsoever but...at least it can some some ppl some time.
thanks a lot for your work dcd, real good to see you back with the vogue.
EDIT: also a bug, same as in your last test version of 6.1, the "power off" function does not seem to work. after holding the top power button, a small prompt comes up asking if you would like to shut down the device. the problem is that if "yes" is pressed, the device just hangs indefinitely with the little wm wait cursor spinning endlessly. thanks again.
ok. just outta curiosity, im going to upload another with biotouch, home, touchflo, and quickdial included. im curious if it fixes some of these problems- if so, i just need to move some files back into oemapps. link in a few.

its just tough figuring things out when i cant flash one and check so i have to go off of peoples results.
i was also thinking of including radio 1.59.10a for a while, what does everyone think?
1.59.10a has drastically improved my data speeds
cube/touchflo version is up in post 1. no radio included for now.
your updated version w/cube & tflo included works like a charm. Solves issue with the power button that another member discussed as well.
thanks for your work

Lol wow, I have no idea what that means. All i did was use prepit on your rom, and replaced it with no2chems base 107 rom. Will this cause any issues? I deleted everything but the rom folder, and used your rom as the "Input" rom. I apologize, Im still new

Looks Good
I think I'll have to try this...any notable performance differences to vp3G 3.0?
I've really like V3.0, all is good except I have had some odd and spotty Internet connection issues that are probably not related to your OS, just curious if you've experienced anything like it or if V3.60 might help.
It usually goes like this, after the first boot-up of the day when I attempt to connect to Internet using PIE or Resco Radio, after spinning for a bit the connection is not made and a long, generic "can't connect to wap.cingular..." message is displayed. Soft reset always fixes it and the problem doesn't return the rest of the day. It doesn't happen every day.
I've swapped out various radios (1.48, 1.50 and 1.51), and tried different Comm Managers. I'm currently using the Kaiser-like 9-button manager and radio 1.48. Also, the spot where I live is Edge which is the network that the initial boot-up occurs, and when I connect to the Internet it's usually 3G. So I suspect the issue is a combination of the network transition and Comm Manager.
TIA
thank you very much

The CE 1260 build seems faster to me, yes. Best feature of the T-Mo ROM married with the AT&T build... what could be better, eh?
Active Sync problem
I updated to your latest ROM, but now my activesync does not recognize my 8525. I tried everything possible, short of flashing to my older version of ROM. Can you help?
I have HTC 8525, running Hermes_WM6_WWE_vp3G_v3.60.0_ATT_Full. I am not able to connect to my PC to upload the rest of the CAB program posted here.
Please advice ASAP. Thank you.
I'm new to this. I have your old version 3.0... Do I just install this version on top of the old one... Do I have to do anything more? Thanks and great work.

I recommend against updating... this version is slower than the previous, especially at boot. you will also have problems with ActiveSync... I don't care what anyone says... This version needs lots of work b4 someone claims it to be the best.
My 2 cents...

Just connect to your activesync and click on the new Rom file... it will do the rest... I would do some more reading b4 attempting to upgrade..
Good luck..
I had the old version of this one... And I just tried the TnT 2.0 and I just install this one... This one isnt as fast as the TnT, but it is more stable. The TnT sometime freezes up and have to reset it... This one on the other hand doesn't. It's a keeper... And for the sync problem... ? None... unplug and replug if it dont work. =) Dont think it has n e thing to do with the OS...

I noticed that after the first boot it was lightning fast, then I installed an app (wm5torage) and after the reboot, it took like 5 mins to get back to the today screen. I did a hard reset, tried just rebooting several times and it was slow. I let it sit for 30 mins, tried again and it was fast and fast ever since. Im wondering if there was some startup config apps still running. Ive now got all my apps loaded and its running great. I haven't tried activesync yet as I only run Linux at work. There is a Windows machine nearby, I'll dl AS and test.
Edit: Im running vp3G 3.60.0 Full. 8 hrs after install, everything is still fast and working excellent. I notice HTC Home plugin loads/unloads way faster when tweaking the Today Items settings.

YES! A new version!!
vp3g, so what is the easiest way to go from v3.0 to this one? Should I just do a PIM Backup, and then reflash?

I'm in the slow boot phase. Did great with initial install. Now slowed to a crawl and hanging on reboot at splash screen. I'll wait it out and see if it calms down and runs better.
Please include install method when posting...

I never recommend trying to restore a backup from one ROM to the next, although with this one you may be able to get away with it as there aren't huge changes in the imgfs from v3.0. Only one way to find out...

where the ruu?
I'm downloading it, but will not be able to test it until tonight. Gonna have to attend a meeting soon. Will keep you informed If finding any more bug, apart from known ones.
Edit: I just saw a new post by Erofich in the previous thread, maybe I'd better wait a little until you try the new way with shellcelog.dll?
I just went home and flashed my Cava with your rough ROM. First of all, it didn't brick my phone That says, the ROM basically is done, only some issues left to address, and they're as followed:
+ Sounds and Profiles problems as known; Selecting Sounds gives me the "Setting couldn't be opened" but doing the Profiles does allow me to open it; however, I can't either edit any profile or switch among them. The overall system sound is pretty low, may be because of this setting issue.
+ Beam applet inside Connections is able to be opened, but can't be saved when the option's checked, giving the "Settings couldn't be saved".
+ Accessibility applet can't be opened also, giving the error related to accessib.xml, saying that it can't be loaded.
+ Unlike WM6.1 HTC Excalibur I used before, Contacts just doesn't display contacts I've stored on SIM. I also checked the registry key, which is ShowSIM under HKCU\ControlPanel\Phone\ , the value is 1 which's supposed to show SIM contacts as it should, but It doesn't.
+ The OS is not application pre-unlocked, that's not a prob, but maybe the reg key 0000101b under HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies should be pre-changed to 1 to ease the unlock procedure after each HR. You know, to unlock it, PC connection is neccessary to run the tool, so when we're not near one, our apps just boo at us challengingly
+ The Java Manager is probably out of date, I got a new one and it's proven that It's usable with most of java apps I've tried to installe. I couldn't do it with the one that came with the original WM6.0 Cava ROM. Just guess this one is the same, 'cos the version and icon look pretty much identical.
+ After using for a while, when I go to Start menu, out of the blue, the two softkey letters on the bottom bar are just vanished, I can still press them with guess though.
+ The Streaming Media tool seems to be un-usable, 'cos I've tried both WIFI connection and Wired connection (with my PC to the NET, and my Cava to it), but I just can't get it to play any youtube file on m.youtube.com (which it's supposed to be able to handle this).
+ Just my suggestion, but in the official release, maybe you can consider adding those useful tools to the ROM, on my previous WM6.1 Excalibur, they were pre-intergrated and quite useful. I'll attach (some of) them here as well. Here's the list:

Just out of curiosity, why wouldn't you port another newer build of WM, say 19513 or something? 'cos I've seen somewhere in this forum about some new builds for WM-based Smartphones. Maybe those builds are just incompatible with our Cava or something?
Edit: having some prob with the file attaching system, so I'll upload them onto some other file upload service, and just post links to them here.
good work
I threw my cavalier in a corner for nearly 5 onths and now im back on it thanks to this wm 6.1 youve worked so hard to bring us. Thanks. Hopefully i can help by letting out some problems im having with it.
-cant connect to a secured wifi
-couldnt install apps until i did another app unlock but i guess that's normal.
-And have to manually add txt messge call center didnt upload from carrier or sim. Tried to manually add it but only gives errors.
-Also i dont see the built in msn messnager tool i had. Does anyone know where i can find a cab for it?

I'm having probs with sending SMS, seems message center has not been added as you said. I believe MSN messenger has been replaced by Windows Live in WM6.1, however I don't see it too. I don't use this much so I hardly noticed the absence.
Hi and welcome to my ROM thread. This is RC2 (release candidate 2) of my Snap based ROM for the Excalibur (Dash, Dopod, etc).
The XIP (kernel) and SYS (main system files) are directly ported from HTC newest handset, the Snap.
This ROM includes only the stock applications for now (with the exception of a few things, like omapclockset and celetask) as it's meant to be a community based ROM where we can ALL work together, chip in and make suggestions to make the fastest and best ROM for the Excalibur.
To activate the weather panel, use the Activate Weather.cab in the "\My documents" folder on the phone and reboot.
The pagepool is set at 8 megs (up from the stock 4) for better speed and general "snappiness". You can lower it yourself by using the pagepool_changer application on the ROM's nbh file. I like mine at 8 and could care less about available RAM as long as the phone is fast and responsive
I will add more as more feedback is provided, but for now let's test this first release and see how it performs I hope you like it.

INSTRUCTIONS for flashing:
You can look at this great guide found here or you can follow my instructions below...
Hell, look at both to make sure you're doing this right!!
1. Run Auto.bat included in the archive. It should resent a black command prompt window.
2. Make sure you remove your storage card from the phone before the next steps.
3 .Follow the instructions in the black window. Do NOT reboot when the SDA unlocker tells you to reboot the phone. It's not necessary.
4. You might get a prompt asking you if you want to run the spl program. Just say yes. At that point you should get a white screen.
5. If for any reason you're not seeing a white screen, you did something wrong and you need to try again.
6. Flash the ROM following the instructions in the flashing utility.
You can expect the phone to be "stuck" on the green windows mobile screen for about 2 1/2 minutes the first time. After that, it should only take about 40-45 seconds for the phone to reboot.
INSTRUCTIONS for recovery in case something goes wrong:
Turn your phone completely off. While pushing the camera button, plug in your usb cable. The tricolor, bootloader screen will come up and you can flash your regular OEM ROM which can be downloaded from one of the stickies.
I recommend flashing the modified bootloader made by jockeyw2001. It's attached to the third post.
What it does is, it CID unlocks your phone, so you don't have to use the softSPL everytime you want to flash a ROM. It also makes recovery from a bad flash much easier, where you dont have to hunt for your original manufacturer's ROM to load in order to resurect the phone.

I recommend flashing the hacked bootloader attached to this post to make future flashings easier, as there will probably be many revisions to this ROM (depending on YOUR input).

Try it and report bugs... as I'm sure we'll have some
Nice! Now if only my replacement battery would get here already!
Two questions... (1) what version of Java is it running, (2) does Innercircle work?
the transparency menu looks pretty slick!
Thanks a lot NRGZ28!!
For bringing a new life to S621!
Will test and report soon as I can...
Cheers,
Thanks NRGZ28 !
Can't wait to test it..

Jeodek stock.. I know.. I'll change it in the next build
And yes, innercircle works
However YouTube and the Album don't... so we'll see about that :/
Tnx for this rom NRGZ28!
Just one things:
1) How about the clock into top bar? (into left of battery when i go into options....);
2) Can u add a CHOME Slim?
Tnx in advance for the answer!
I will add those if I can find them anymore. Anybody got a cab for the am/pm version of clockontop ?
Hi NRGZ,
I've been using your ROM's for a while, this looks fine, a couple of issues,
1- No bluetooth
2- Wifi doesn't work, wifiinit is on the startup but once you try to activate it hangs in there
This if you use the connection manager on the panel if you go to the start menu and use the connection manager it works fine both of them
Thanks for your hard work
Enrique
Sadly I don't have an operable phone to test at the moment... to those of you who have flashed... how does it run compared to the Rose roms?
good
its real good but there is one thing you cant add my favs anymore like 1.7 and other thing that we could add before from chome?????
few minutes after first flash and look...
Looks really great Boot fast, seeking network fast, ROM fast as hell
Settings>Phone>Band select didn't work
Frozen when Menu>Contacts>Add contact, after remove battery works fine.
After change HTC Panel to Sliding panel and restart, change back to HTC Panel in 5 min...
BTW seems to be great ROM
My Regards
Great Work
This is by far the most asthetically pleasing rom i have used yet. i have to use my phone for business so have already flashed back for now but i cant wait for the final realease ha. as for bugs the only ones i found were that streaming media had no visual when playing and i could not get a data conection when trying to use opera mini but ie worked fine.Oh and also i could not use the NRG rinku cab either just fyi.

Yeah, there's no band select because this isn't a 3G phone, so there's no bands to select really. I will remove that option in the next version
Flashing now. I'll report with any issues that I find. Looks great though.
Since you're taking input... is there any chance you could include BaseHue, Resco Explorer and the SMSToolPack? The first two I use extensively, and the SMSToolPack would just be a "nice to have" since we all love flashing ROMs so much.
Also, does the HTC Sliding Panel homescreen pull the panel icons from bronzeres.dll?
On a sidenote, I actually took a look at your ROMs for the Raphael and was floored. I'm not surprised to see such an aesthetically pleasing ROM find it's way to our phones.
Hi, I've been working on this for a long time.
There's still room to improve, so if you know some ways to solve known issues or find some bugs, please give me feedbacks.

Updated 19/Apr/2010:

- Replace Jblend with Esmertec Jbed.

Useful Download:
- FlashTools: http://www.badongo.com/file/19455198
- Official HK WWE 6.1 ROM, in case you need to flash back. http://www.mediafire.com/?zywjgmw5wzm
How To Flash:
- unzip Flashtool and flash.bin in C:/Windows/Temp/ (note there are hidden files, it's better unzipped directly there)
- hold record button then boot your device.
- The engineering menu will show up, choose 9 to enter DSUU Mode
- Connect your device to PC (the screen should show "USB Initialization done")
- Run Device Software Update Utility.exe
- Have some patience, it just take few minutes.
* If you flash under Windows 7, set Device Software Update Utility.exe to Vista SP2 Compatible Mode. However, it sometimes doesn't work for me, so I still suggest to flash under Windows XP.
* Some people suggest to do a hard reset (Master Clean) after flashed. I don't know the differences, but you could do that if it makes you comfortable.
Tested Functions:
- A2DP Bluetooth earphone (Muse 802)
- Camera works, video recording works
- Video call works
- Autoconfig works
- Alarms works
- Wifi works
- SMS works
- GPS works
- GPS Accelerator works
- Sync with Windows Mobil Center ok.

28/Jan/2010 Updated:
Just a minor update. I seem to figure out why the full version in previous version got longer incall delay.
Download Link:
http://www.mediafire.com/?mnnewuzyebh
Feature:
-SYS XIP 28205
-Office 2010 from 23518
-Dynamic Pagepool
-Remove only unneccesary modules like autoupdate and bug reports.
-Chinese character display locale supported.
Issues:
- Video call wouldn't end properly, it's 28205 build specific issue, will be fixed in the next release.
- As described below.
********************************************************
- SYS and XIP 23511 (I consider this branch more stable)
- Pure WWE http://www.badongo.com/file/19342158
- WWE with Chinese Support http://www.badongo.com/file/19342332
- SYS and XIP 28205
- Full, 8MB Pagepool: http://www.mediafire.com/?4wzunynb4q3
- Standard, 8MB Pagepool: http://www.mediafire.com/?djjnigmnmdd
- Standard, 6MB Pagepool: http://www.mediafire.com/?mojc4dnx3fo
- Standard, Dynamic Pagepool: http://www.mediafire.com/?wwqmodk2nnz
- Lite, 8MB Pagepool: http://www.mediafire.com/?iy4ry3jnnnn
- Lite, Dynamic Pagepool: http://www.mediafire.com/?zeyty1n2t0d
Known Issues:
- FM Radio doesn't work (so I removed FMRadio components)
- Call log fails sometimes.
* Workaround: Install "Magicall" http://www.mobiion.com/magicall.html
This workaround is originally posted by KS20 users.
* Note: Some say this is because of GSM driver reloaded. What I observed is cprog.exe reloaded after entering suspend for a while. I think the system somehow flushes cprog.exe on resuming.
Removed OEM:
- Picsel Viewer, Autoinstall(Toshiba UI, Virtual Keyboard), ImageToText,Camera frames, ImageEditor, Stream Player, Blacklist, FM Radio.
- Toshiba Theme removed.
What I've Done and Fixed:
- Incoming Call Delay after suspend reduced to one ring
- Do some modification in initflashfiles.dat
- Put some ugly low resolution icons in Accessories
- Recmod lots of SYS modules, it should make the ROM smoother.
Todo:
- Clean up unused registry keys from OEM.
- Clean up unused drivers in OEM.
- May remove autoconfig data, it make /Windows a mess.
Signal lost issue
Thank you very much for this long awaited 6.5-rom
It runs very well and everything works as expected except one thing: unfortunately, after about half an hour in suspense mode, incoming calls aren't recognized anymore so the "signal drops"-problem remains (I'm using the Full, 8 MB Pagepool ROM) .... strange: sms receiving seems not to be affected by this problem as long as I have testet it....Now I will return to the the standard dialer because I'm currently using PhonEx and I want to make sure that this problem is not software related...
(It's a bit time consuming to test this, because whenever you change something, you must wait about an hour while the phone is in suspense mode before you check it, to be sure that the problem is fixed (or not) )

I'll figure it out. Thanks for your information.
I think this problem is build specific, I saw some HTC chefs encounter the same problem in this build(with HTC dialers).
If this problem continue to exist in later builds, I'll try to include a dialer toggler in ROMs.
I can confirm that this problem is build specific: I'm using the default dialer now and the problem hasn't occured anymore....
I'd like to test this ROM...thanks for your effort.
How can I go back to original ROM in case I want to?
You can make a backup of your original rom as described here: http://www.portegeclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2108
I have created such a backup rom but I haven't used it yet so I don't know whether it will work or not.

In Standard version, I further removed some unneccessary stuff like ADC, Autoupdate, MSTag, Sample Music, Bing Search...
In Lite Version, I also removed Enterprise, IPSec, VOIP, Voicecommand, Transcriber...
In future releases, I'll release only standard version and Lite version.

I saw both of ROMs(camelio's and this one), and I think, that's his own work. Camelio, you're not the only cooker for Toshiba G810. :]
You force people to "donate" you for your work, and I knew, thats sooner or later somebody will create his own, FREE firmware to TG810.
So: if you have no evidence, don't even try to shame...
@iankang:
In the ROM, there is much to improve. On my TG810, delay 'from incoming call to ring' is still about 3-4 signals.
Aha, it's very good job.

You claimed to solve the problem with "same power consumption with 6.1"
It truned out to be just a dumb way, and it drain your battery very soon!

I cooked this ROM totally from original official ROM!
Hey all,
28205 Hot off the press
COME AND GET IT!!
Note: This is a UC Rom. When the zip is decompressed, you will see a folder called XDA-UC that has a bunch of cabs inside. Place that folder (and all of its contents in the root of your Storage Card. Right after the initial boot is done, soft reset the device. When it starts up again, UC will start by itself saying that it will install all the contents in the UC folder. Be patient since it will seem as if the device weren't doing anything. When its done, it will ask you if you want to reset it. The whole installation of cabs takes between 5 and 7 minutes (because of Manila)
Change-log:
28205 Rev 0 (1-4-10)
*Brand New WM 6.5.3 Build 28205
*Fixed BT icon not showing in the top bar
*Generic Carrier Rom. (you must install your DCD carrier cab or else your ##Phone Codes will not work [ie EPST, DATA, etc])
*Added Total Commander
*Few tweaks to improve battery performance
*Removed Facebook (I will add it in the UC folder if I get enough requests)
*I tried cooking EzInput 1.5 and 2.1 but I cannot get the rom to cook for some reason. I will try to look into it and see if i can find a fix.
I have attached a list of what is included with the rom and in the UC folder.
Known Bugs:
*Manila Home Tab Weather does not work. I tried the fix for CDMA device but the only thing that does is to stop Manila from being able to start up. Any suggestions are welcome. - Resolved ---- First, set up the weather in M2D's weather tab, then install the attached cab, and finally Soft Reset. (thanks codf4ther)
*The dialer will randomly have a scrollbar on the side when the keypad is hidden. Nothing major, but will try to get a better dialer soon.
*Phone Codes folder is missing (forgot to cook it in). I will try to cook it in the next release.

Can't wait to try out your new rom. I'm leaving for a trip tomorrow so hopefully you can get it uploaded today sometime, so I can install it. If not I'll try to be checking the site thru the week.
Look forward to it. I'd agree on the HTC EZinput keyboard and love to see the HTC Task Manager work in the quick menu. The last one had it installed but, would never appear up top?
Small update:
I have not forgotten about this. In fact, I have already cooked one for 28205 and I am testing it as we speak. Things that I found so far:
*BT icon in the top bar still does not show. It might just be a reg tweak. I will look into it.
*Cannot use Phone Codes for some reason.
*Issue with nueStorage (notification does not show)
*When touching the top bar, the information is displayed (notifications, battery, etc). However, the graphics are kinda messed up. I will try to post a screenshot later.
If I can finish it, I will post it later on.
Thanks for the update
Link on the main page isn't working?
Or is it being overloaded by too many people downloading?
---------------
Tried from another PC and got it to work... very strange!
Any screenshots available?
First post updated with all the information requested as well as screenshots...
Just downloaded & will flash later today.
Did you by chance add some better rings & alarms. The ones in your last ROM were basically all the same. Also, is the pull-down task manager (should be upper right) part of you ROM. I currently don't see it.
Weather
For the CDMA weather fix, did you remember to set the weather on the weather tab before applying the patch? Otherwise it'll stop Manila from starting.

I put some more "sounds" but I have not tested them. As far as the Task manager drop down, Manila pretty much blocks it. I do remember that there was a version that does not get covered by Manila. I will look for it and will try to cook it for the next one. Thanks for the feedback on that one (I did not notice it)
