Does WM5 come with the blackberry client?
Has anyone made the existing client work with it?
Has anyone at all gotten the existing client to work in the USA? Still no dice for me.
Hi rjbrown99
No dice for me either. Ended up going over to Goodlink for corporate e-mail and exchange active synch for personal mail. I abandoned Smartner Always on mail as it became so unrelaible.
As for WM 2005 and Blackberry, I can conform that neither the Wizard or the o2 version of the Universal has it yet. O2 say they will put it in a future ROM, but will not commit to a date.
Our best hope is the O2 XDA2S 1.40 ROM update, which does include the Blackberry client!! Its being pre release tested, so it has to be out soon now...please.!!..

Chris
Waiting game
Hi Chris, thanks for the reply. I still have no corporate email on my Blue Angel due to this issue. Personal email via IMAP works great, but I'm waiting for a "real" solution for Blackberry. Until then I just synch to Lotus Notes via the mNotes software.
Hopefully someone will come out with a client that works in the USA. It's annoying to see the "Instant Email" icon and the Blackberry logo for the current German release and know that it can't be used for anything here.

I was running the WM5.0 build but couldn't get Smartner to work with it, so I down graded back to 2003SE and use smartner 3.0 it works great on T-Mobile (USA) with Lotus.
I have tried several times to get a trial license for their Smartner 5.0 with out luck.
hi i have upgrade my phone to WM6 but now the pocket MSN is gone. i dont have hotmail and MSN anymore. is there a way to get it back onto the phone? thanks
pocket msn no longer exists...
do a search for windows live messenger, there are some cab files floating around here n there..
I sure wish I could upgrade to WM6.. apparently there are no upgrades for Cingular 8125... .. help if you know of one that wont screw up my phone for good.... or at all for that matter.
i dont know if its because its wm5 or weather t-mobile are being sneaky and hiding the app.
but on my last wm5 device (wizard) i had msn messenger and hotmail access.
but on my new MDA Mail (dash / s620) its nowhere to be seen and whats more ive been to windows downloads and its not there either.
does anyone know a registry hack to show it or where i can download it from???
cheers

search around for the windows live messenger program.
probably your best bet or upgrade to wm6.
Anyone seen this before?
On a Vario II just upgraded to WM6 (HTC_TyTN_WWE_3.54.255.3_6275_1.48.00.10_108).
Email and web browsing are fine.
I've tried a couple of other IM progs with same results. And I've tried several different CABS to install the T-Mobile UK settings (including the HTC program which added some T-Mobile proxy server (149.254.201.132:8080 for HTTP) which I'd never seen before and was unable to delete). MSN Live Messenger was working earlier today but now that's FUBAR too.
Also tried CHAP versus PAP authentication - no difference.
Hope someone can help. Last time I tried Agile on my WM5 Vario II it worked fine.
Thanks.
Well MSN Live Messenger is working fine today. But both Agile Messenger and IM+ won't connect to MSN Messenger or AIM.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
OK. Here's weird...
I just installed the beta of Agile's Java midlet version of messenger, and BOTH MSN and AIM connect fine.
However the regular version still isn't working.
Ang brainbox care to hazard a guess as to why?
Thx.
Hi,
Is there an apps for WM6+ OS that can communicate with the BlackBerry Messenger (Ping)...?
Update 01/20: I Managed to get BlackBerry Connect working on my HTC Touch HD but there is no BB Messenger. Is there a cab file for installing BB Messenger on a WM6+ phone...?
