Hi all,
I've bought my IIs in Hongkong, it is Chinese version. Now I want to flash it to English. But seem all the English roms on the ftp server are for UK phones, is it possible to upgrade my phone to English with those roms?

I loaded my ROM (HK O2) to the ftp in the CE Rom directory (version 1.12.62).
However, I do not recommend you to use them since they are not very stable compared to those in Singapore or upgraded in HK Accord recently i.e. 1.31 version.
I also want the most updated asian rom.....
Anyone can help to load the HK ROM and extended ROM for Hong Kong?

As there is no way to extract the ROM in an existing HK Dopod900 (I have one), no HK CHT ROM can be provided.

I have upgraded successfully, but the keyboard has some problems.
When I press "SYM", it turns out ";" when I press "=", it turns out "/". anyone encounting the same problem?

Thanks for the info, but I think I'm gonna stick with what I've got for now - I've been reflashing my Universal too many times this week, need a break.
BTW I've posted the link onto the wiki page since no one else has done so.
I have flashed this ROM and it is working perfect and stable, no problems with having to select ENGLISH on the chinese keyboard everytime you want to write, it keeps the last selection in memory which is brilliant.
Only problem I need to sort out is I cannot get my MMS inbox back, it does not show up. I am on o2 UK and I even tried running the cab file that makes it show up, but on the Chinese ROM it is useless, still does not show up. Anyone have any ideas? Really really much appreciated !

What is the difference between the Taiwan version and the Hong Kong version? Can you upload the file please?

Taiwan version and Hong Kong version is different of network settings. Hong Kong version only can set Hong Kong network settings.
I tried to search but i cant find where is the way to use this ROM on O2Exec. Dose anyone can tell me please. Thanks.

Was wondering what the difference between the EUR and UK roms are?

I have Rom 1.19.707.1 wwe which seems to be Asia Rom (I am not sure) i am moving to australia permenently, so do you guys think i will have to upgrade my Rom with australian standard or this Rom will work with HSDPA. I dont want to Use EDGE i want to use HSDPA there in Australia so will this Rom work in Australia with any carier.

I used an Asian stock rom for a while over in New Zealand and was able to get HSDPA speeds on all the carriers here. I'm sure your rom will be just fine. It all depends on the frequencies that your handset supports, If it supports the carrier in Australia you want then it should work fine providing you have there specific simcard.

That one will work for sure. Just to see, install a Reg EDIT and look in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER - Software - HTC - Manila and you will see that in localization appears in the Value Locale is en-AU.
So that states that this is the official rom for the Australian country. For Hong Kong is en-HK.
