post the cabs here and i'll try to make it for u... even i'm learning so cant guarantee that the oems will be perfect (although they wont brick ur phone) just might give u error while cooking.. no big deal... if they work then it'll be great for u i need some guidance for cooking roms for gene and a how-to on adding and deleting packages in rom cooking

for making your own oems
and:

which can sort of be used for oem's/reg edits (though i wouldnt recommend it), but mostly for having personal info and email etc already configured.

Request to ALL ROM chefs. (CustomRUU)

Hey people, just a suggestion, could all ROM chefs please package the ROMs using CustomRUU 4.3.
This will allow for autodetection of HardSPL v7 and also safeguards against any crap that might happen??
I forsee MANY MANY questions being asked as people update thier versions of HardSPL then find the autodetect feature doesnt work, and also that selecting manually anything apart from SSPL will not work.

no correctly
can you let me know where to found it or link ?
I was looking for this too so I have a backup before I change the ROM on my Ignito.
I couldn't find it though, and have spent the last hour and a half searching. Did you manage to find it yet?
I did dump the rom from my phone, but am struggling to make it back into a flashable rom. Would prefer to get hold of a known working original o2 ignito rom.
I dont think anyone has dumped one yet.
Looks like you guys could be the first . Just run through the tutorial on making a backup of your ROM then post it on here .

I've already done that, I now have Part00.raw, Part01.raw, Part02.raw and Part03.raw.
As I understand it, Part01 and Part02 make up the ROM.
I did download a kitchen to try and make up a flashable rom myslef, but can't quite figure it out.
If I posted Part01 and Part02 would other people make up a flashable rom (and test it)??
I dont see why not . Lots of clever and helpful people on here . This is what the forum is all about

I think I've managed to figure it out, and i'm about to remake the rom from the stuff I dumped from the phone. Will then try flashing it back and see if it works.
As I understand it, I can't brick it doing this as I haven't messes with the SPL yet, so if it does all go wrong I can then install a hard spl and then flash any rom I want.
Please correct me if i'm wrong and about to brick my phone.

I have been searching for the o2 ignito shipped firmware for a few days now and cannot find it.
If you know where to get it could you please point us in the right direction.
I like to have the official rom available before I start flashing.
Thanks in advance.
Chippie, you managed to do this succesfully yet mate ?
I'm thinking along the same lines as you atm, but I'm a n00b when it comes to cooking. Wouldn't know where to begin despite all the info out there.

I really don't know.
I've dumped the rom, and then done all the stuff in the rom kitchen, but don't know if what I have ended up with is an actual working rom image.
I'm reluctant to actually try it on my phone in case I brick it.
I've pretty much decided to wait until O2 release an updated ROM before I put a different rom on my phone so that I have an official rom to go back to if needed.

Removing OEM Apps from an official ROM

Hi there!
any one know how to Removing OEM Apps from an official ROM? Please help.
I learned how to cook, add OEMs, and stuffs. I want to learn how to take some of those I dont need out... For that I could get the rom I actually want and meet my needs....
Or any or are there any other threads that are the solutions for this. Please guid me to it ..
Thanks ALOT!
only advice i can give: stay away from official roms.
get kitchen for your machine and start to learn how WM's made. Just read tutorials, build your first one, and trim it slowly(make backups!).
i can guarantee, that you may remove many things even from so called "clean roms".
Nobody will give you point-to-point manual...
Oh!..
Thanks for the advice... so the Tutorial you mentioned was the WIKI?
I acutally cooked some rom with the Official Rom as the baseROM... there is something... just some thing to take out...
^^

Meander through the forum, there are many clean, light, ultralight ROMs out there that you could easily use.
Also, I recommend looking into cooking your own... it's time consuming...frustrating...addicting....and very rewarding... you can also then have exactly what you want cooked in so come hard reset time... the only thing you need to worry about is the data
Good Luck and have fun
