I know you talked about normal ringtones XTream
But originally i thought VDO means Video Ringtones But one way or the other, i can't help, i deleted all my default T-Mobile Rings as they are annoying and the farest away from pleasant to the ears

ohh... sorry lol im a plank
the only reason liked them is the text tone is UUUUBER loud and the alarm is really loud too so it always woke me up... granted the ringtone is KAK but do like the text and alarm i use the 24 ringtone its kinda sad but sounds cool

Need a decent loud, simple ringtone ...

The supplied ringtones are useless. I've lost count of how many calls I have missed - I just can't hear them. To me - all the latest ringtones are nowhere as good as the old fashioned 'ring-ring' that used to be standard on most cellphones.
Anyone got a good replacement ringtone, one that is loud, simple (ring ring or similar) and easily available ?
Thanks
Mark
Something like this?
You can also edit a wav file and crank up the volume

Very nice - but I wouldn't call that simple
Whatever happened to the goodl old fashioned ring-ring ?
Mark
try this
I had the same problem, and my solution was to modify the "Old Phone" tone (taken from an SE T610) to a "double-ringtone", put it 6dB louder as original and converted it to .wma. I'm very happy now, since I use this ringtone I've the most time the volumecontrol 2 dashes down the maximum!

Try this UK version.. work's for me!
Here is the Old Phone ringtone from the PDA2k. I extracted it, converted it to wav, and amplified it a great deal.

thank you in all ways

thanks
simple basic ringtone
I see there are a few posts with tones in files. If your looking for something to download one option is http://www.justringring.com
Hope it helps, Jon
I think the coolest thing to do is open a mp3 with audacity and chop it down a little bit then use a mp3 encoder to downsample it so its smaller, then encode it to WAV. It's so cool to hear Survivalism by Nine Inch Nails blast out of my phone when I get a call. Not simple, but the result is just AWESOME.
oldphone, oldphone2, btdoldphone, oldstyle............ Why only old style tones can be better and louder???? post some new style tones as well..

WM6 Dopod rom sms sound request

I changed my ROM from Dopod to original Htc and I forgot to backup the sms and e-mail message delivered with the dopod rom : "you got message" and "you got mail". I liked them so much.
Please, Can someone with that ROm extract these sounds and post them on this forum?
Thanks

[SMS] "You got message!" Can someone rip this SMS ringtone?

Hi,
I switched from the DOPOD rom to the official HTC Europe rom.
When I did so, I found out that the HTC rom didn't have the YOU GOT MESSAGE ringtone when you receive an SMS.
Could someone please "rip" it from the DOPOD rom and upload it somewhere for me?
If I do have it, in which folder do I paste it on my phone so I can select it?
And another question, is it possible to find the "black theme" somewhere?
Thank you very very much for your time

Can't imagine why you would want it.
Every time I hear it I want to punch whoever made it.
"You got inability to speak English!"

LOL, my thougts exactly. Deleted it as soon as I heard it.
I just converted the "You've Got Mail" one from AOL and used that for awhile until it annoyed to damn near insanity. It's not worth it.
I think its her voice she sounds realy sexy....
I like the originals not the dopod ones, tho the combinations make for a full compliment for different messages (messenger. text, mms, and email)
so I have you've got mail (oroiginal), have email, have message, and you have a message. the variants cover the 4 options with slightly different accentuations.
but how would u install that ring for sms? the tytn u cant use your own sms rings right

Thank you Edward .
I'm running into a problem though.. Sometimes when I receive an SMS I don't hear the ringtone, my phone doesn't vibrate and the light doesn't go orange.
Any idea what might go wrong. Is it because of the MP3 ringtone?
Is .wav better?

Yes, I did see that post (and the attachment) but I also want the notification tones too.
This is all the .mid and .wave files from the windows folder, I think thats all the notification sounds.
These are from a wm5 t-mobile vario II and have the god awful t-mobile sounds in there as well.
If there is anything else you are after give a shout
Had to split it into two because the website complained....
Ah yes, those are the files that I wanted.
Yep, some are awful, but all I wanted was some of the 'bleeps' for SMS, Email etc- they seems to 'notify' you better than the ones I have (!)
Many thanks!

voice annoucement for caller ID

Hello again
And again I have a question - is there application that would speak me the name of the person calling me? I mean that if John calls me it would ring, ring.. john.. ring, ring
Voice Command does not work on X1 for this feature
Voice2go is useless too, because when it launches it takes over my speaker, and only after turning it off manually it can speak normally. beseide of that - i rly do not like that app :/
So can anyone give some advice?
Would verry appreciate!
Thx in advance,
Mayyhem84
actually voice command is working now with the announce caller if you have the latest valkyrie rom installed
Thank You for the reply!
But I am using only SE oryginal ROM's. Actually I have R3AA010, Generic_UK..

I may be wrong but I think that voice for caller announcement has never worked with WM6.1...
True - it did not worked :/
There was a trick on forum, that made it work on some ROM's - the needed to disable skins for phonepad and it worked.
But it does not makes the trick for me :/
Any more sugestions
it works.
did you check the box in the options to use it on the speaker too?
otherwise it works with the headset only (didn't try that).
but you have to disable the dailer skin either way.
ps: there is a thread about that already which is half a year old or something (-> search).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=568834&highlight=voice+command
Thanks for the replies!! But c'mon guys I would not start a new thread if that would work for me.. I like search button very much
Yeap, I've disabled the option in Advanced Configuration Tool:
Phone -> Phone skin: Disabled.
And it did not worked... I've made the use speaker too option enabled.
So is there any program that really can do it?
Besid the fact that both - xperia and WM dialer is ugly as hell :/ I prefer really the Phonex one
Thanks in advance!
You can record voice announcement and assign to contact : )
U mean make a ringtone for every one and subscribe them to their own tone??
deamn... i have over 300 contacts
But still - that is some idea rly nice and funny as hell
Some more advices? Would be great
oh.. guys.. heeelllll... I am searching and can't find any sollution
is it really possible that there is no caller ID voice annouce for xperia or generally for win mo???
please help... ?
