I hv successfully updated my Chinese and Russian P550 to WWE 6.1 using vivi's tools.Attched are the screen shots.If required i can upload the procedure and rom.Pls post here the requests.

Friend, I think that screenshot with memory is nessecary, post please. I mean screen of control panel aplet with memory: all, used, free. Best way - get this screen directly after Hard rest.

Sorry for the delayed reply.There were small bugs like camera not starting and threaded SMS, now are solved completely.ROM results are excellent, I am trying new LCD driver and sound files, and I will post a link for download.pls watch this space I shd do it by this Sunday

Laast week, I bought this device with ASUS P550 in HK,but it is traditionnal chinese,I want to chanege to english or russian.but I cant find the roms for english or russian anywhere, can someone tell me where I can find where i can download the rom,thanks!

I have a question that doesn't belong to this thread but please reply - this seems to be the highest concetration of p550 users so far that I have seen.
The question is - do any of You have problems with in-call volume adjustment not working? And also, if You reply - do You have ASUS P550 or the Vodafone branded v1520?
I have the problem with in-call volume slider not working and so far I haven't found any solution
Please help to specify the problem. I think that if original ASUS doesn't have this problem, then it must be Vodafone's extended CABs that are causing the problem. Also it might be the Wizard reTOUCHed Dialer2 which I have installed, but I don't know yet as I haven't had time to hard-reset and configure the device again.

Hi, Im new here and I need your help guys!
I bought one Asus P550 at Ukraine and it have WM in Russian language. How I can update/install/change it to English?
Also, my camera sometimes dont work, only with hard reset it starts to work but after sometime stop again.
Can some one help me?

Hi. It would be nice if someone would put an info on how to update to wwe 6.1 Also is there any way to make a backup of current rom and restore it if something goes wrong during the rom upgrade process.?

I hv a P550, but Rom is Ru. I don't understand Ru. Now I want change Rom from Ru to Eng.

This rom is available at this site below however I cannot download it as the site is in vietnamese and I had difficulty understanding how to d/l. even after I had registered
I believe this is currently the latest rom build for asus p535 and when flashed will make asus come alive

anyway.. every where I look.. it said.. WM 6.1. What is so difrent in this wm6.1. Nothing like cube or flow or animation from diamond. it's another windows for your mobile.
i testes versions from 19200 to this last one.
except someoane put some aplications to be "by default" in this rom... what is the diffrence from original rom?! And those aplications... 80% are not working in P535.

seems nice... i have no problem with it... except the camera ...
When I press the camera button.. the aplication is starting...and suddenly stops and exit...
in order to be able to take pictures I have to start aplication again. After this camera si OK. But It;s kind of ennoyng to start the same aplication twice. This **** was also encounteres in official ROM WWE_EE00 Romania.
It never happened with pdaviet ROM for P535 but from Eastern FW.
Also.. GPS cacher is uselless and some of the aplication.
The device is OK with this ROM... you can try it...
I find enoyng that the battery is not shown... c'mon.. this is an 1300 mAh battery... is not design to last 7 days... so the battery level is important information for the owner.

Exe is patched not to check any regeion and shd work on all Country/ regeions.

Great job hdubli! Although I am not able to help test it (phone still in SC), I am thankful that u release this ROM pretty fast.
Another question on the processor. I noted that the 2nd image says the Processor is Qualcomm MSM7200A, whereas the one I have (or use to have) is a 7201A. The Asus website states that it uses the 7201A also. Can you confirm that it is really 7200A (even with other ROM, original ROM)?
Now I wonder if Asus ship out different processors variants to different regions. I know that the 7200A can take full VGA video shots and playback MP4 @ vga far better that the 7201A which only records in QVGA mode and lags like molasses in VGA playback (unless the bitrate is <500kbits/sec). The 7201A is a crippled edition of the 7200A so that it does not infringe on patents that the 7200A is using for VGA playback and recording. And the patent is only valid in the US. Logically speaking, except for the US market, the P835 ought to be using the 7200A.
As for comparison, a friend of mine uses his Touch HD (with 7201A) and compared it to the new Diamond (7200A) for video shoots. Diamond wins hands down. The 7201A video is really bad.

Probably will be urgent when the phone's touch screen breaks down and need to send to service center

Is not urgent.......but you can upload the MSY once you free.
This is because i need to keep the stock MYS rom for any uncertain call back from this phones.
The WM6.5 rom is good but got 2 errors occur.
1. battery indicator not function.
2. shdesk.exe error---> can be delete from startup in window search for multihome and delete it.
All the error is minor only.
Your picture show in asus.forumpro.eu on the extended rom is unknown
But my Extended Rom is v2.2.0 IND00.
Conclusion, the phone running stable and fast...............
I stress out the wm6.5 for 2 hours.......

Yes..there is a shdesk file can't be regonized and i am trying to remove it now. However, I can't reply any SMS message. Could any one help?
Moreover, I did installed the Chinese Langurage Pack. It can show Chinese character without problem!

could you make the wm65 chinese ver.

when i dial the number ,the number can not show on the top bar .how can i do.

Use Advanced config to disable phone skin, then you will see the dialing number.

Can this work on my P565?

I cannot get the upgrade to work, unfortunately. When I run the EXE and hit "upgrade" button, the phone reboots. Upon rebooting, WinXP shows an error near the system tray that the device has malfunctioned. The phone then boots right back into Windows Mobile.. I tried it many times but get the same thing
I have turned off firewall and AV.. any suggestions on how to get it to work?

Hey Thanks a lot for the ROM now my Asus is running quite fast and very nice to look at , however when i switch on the device I get shdesk error and also I am unable to use the camera as it wont launch the camera when I press the camera button, Please help me with this and also as a feedback I found that's Internet Explorer is not stable and battery is draining very fast than the official 6.1 ROM.
Please help me with Shdesk and Cammera , I realy eed to use my cammera. Sad

phone and bluetooth are working fine in this rom . i used it in my phone and worked great with me

thank you for replay but i install 5 roms and its still not works maby beacuse i install the russin rom by the way which we put the rom on sd card so the first picture which is i-mate moto has changed while your rom we install it by dnw program the first picture didn't changed i think the russin rom had changed the basic data

I upgraded my mobile with this rom, very good works. I used a bit and works very well. The only problem I noticed is that when you install Marketplace Application from the link http://mp.windowsphone.com and you try to sign in with Live ID, the text field where you put password seem read the latin letter as chinese ones. This make impossible to use such application. I notice the same problem (always with password text field) for My Phone application used to backup the phone online.

But one more problem I have found, I can't check my balance by sms.
I am using Mobitel service provider in Sri Lanka, *100# is the code for check balance, but it doesn't work.
Please reply me and give me a proper solution.
But It was working in wm6 and wm5 as well.

Hi, I would like to thank you all your work, I know is hard and I apreciate it.
I also found a Russian ROM in the 4pda.ru forum, I can't post the links but it is fast, has plenty memory and has camera issue solved, I noticed that the mic sound isn't loud enough.
That said, I thought you could take a look, maybe correct the camera issue in your ROM or maybe translate the russian ROM.
Anyway, thanks for all your good work.

Ciao I installed this ROM on my Jama and it seems to work, great job.
But I got a problem when I tried to install SPB Mobile Shell 3.5.3 or S2U 2.24.
The errors that I got is just Unable to install or installation failed.
I used the same cabs on a prevoius version of WM and they installed without any problem. I'm installing them directly from my storage card
Can someone give me any idea?
