Change hardware buttons.

Hi,
I want to change the gps button bottom left of the orbit. I've installed tomtom navigator but the button still loads up messaging for some reason.
I imagine it's somewhere in the registry. Anyone know where?
Thanks, Richard
RTFM
Sorry - just fiddling about in the settings area and found it. Does anyone know how to point the button to a specific file, though?
You need to click on the button number (button one for the navigation button) then select TomTom Navigator from the pull down list below. If it is not in the list then it is likely that TomTom is not on the start menu. If so, let me know and I will explain how to fix that.
That's the problem.
Hi,
That's the problem, I'm not getting the application coming up in the drop down list.
Thanks, Richard
The list of available applications is pulled from following directory: \Windows\Start Menu\Programs
Go ahead, create a shortcut for your app here in this folder, assign to HW button and enjoy

Hi,
The HTC Home launcher is limited to 9 application, so you need to delete one or more.
This is done in the following way:
1. select the lower rightmost icon marked with "x". Then you'll see all apps marked for deletion.
2. tap on the one you want to delete, and the location will become blank.
3. tap again on the "x" to unmark.
4. tap on the blank square (deleted location) and a pop-up screen with all application will come.
5. choose the appliction you want to assign to this square.
Good luck!

S2U2 and TouchFlo Cube conflict

Hey guys,
quick question here,
i put S2U2 on to my gf's phone and she is complaining that when she "slides to unlock" the cube jumps up as well, since it recognises the left to right gesture.
apart from giving her the back hand and sending her back to the kitchen, how can the problem be solved? apart from disabling cube/the left to right gesture (which is the solution as more complaints from woman occurs)
thanks in advance
jason
add s2u2 to the touchflo disable program list in the config file or install schaps touchflo config program and use that to set it in the disabled list.
thanks for that brillent suggestion.
one question, i go in to FTouchFlo Config, and go to exclusions but cant seem to find a button to click to allow me to add s2u2 to the list.
thanks in advance
jason

Hi, download an application called HButton from here:
http://hbutton.dyndns.org/download.jsp
Then you can change the function of some of the buttons on your phone.
Happy "early" birthday!!!

great! thanks man. it is working, i should have asked for that a long time ago.
ok first i want to say: what a great forum, i'm proud of being a member and i wish i could contribute more here.
so what i've done is: i programmed hbutton1 to <quit> programs and mapped it to the OK button, but now the contexts and windows with OK at the corner do not respond to the OK button.
so in addition to hbutton1 i assigned hbutton2 with <ok/close> and also mapped it to the OK button.
now it is working like i want
you know that with hbutton, you can assign multiple commands to each button.
For instance, my button4(also hbutton4) does:
Internet Explorer
Comm Manager
Toggle Bluetooth
Toggle WiFi.
Setting a 200ms delay, and it's all good.
Cheers!

Phone Screen??

Anyone know how to open the phone screen without pressing the talk/send button? I cannot find a way like you can on the Wing. I am unable to push the hardware buttons due to my severe physical disability (Spinal Muscular Atrophy). Thanks in advance for any help!

I've never had a problem opening the screen. I usually slide it open using two hands, both thumbs on the edge of the phone. My thumbs go to the center, so I never press the phone button. That's my personal experience.
I never use that tilt-up screen on it, lol. I have no need for that tilt thing.
perhaps your operator can supply you with a special dialling wand?

Oh, he's cool. Yea, he's a true badass. How hilarious.
Maybe someone could create an app? Something I can add to Start menu or Programs tab.
Sliding the phone open is not an option. It has to be touch activation.
On the Wing "phone" was a program in the start menu that brought up the dialing pad.

Ohhh, I thought you meant slide the screen open, lol.
Hmm, they don't have a shortcut for the phone, anywhere. But, it should be possible to create a shortcut. Lemme visit the file exporer for a few minutes...
You can add Phone to the start menu...
SOLUTION
Create a shortcut:
Go to the File Explorer
Navigate to the \Windows directory on your Device Memory
Scroll down to the file name, "cprog" (use the scrollbar, since kinetic scrolling is too slow)
Right click it, and click copy
Now scroll to the top of that list (use the scrollbar again)
Open the Start Menu folder (your filepath should be \Windows\Start Menu now)
Right click in the empty space, and then click "Paste Shortcut"
Now right click the "Shortcut to cprog" file, and click Rename, so that you can give it a more personable title
Now it's in your Start Menu! You can also add it to your Programs tab on TouchFlo.
Only problem is that there's no icon, but it works, right! (I'll read what was just posted...Beat you to the answer, Leanne, lol)
THANK YOU! Thanks for the solution, worked perfectly. I love my TP2 even more now!
