My preference with ZERO problems in the US using ATT is 1.46.30.11
I use GPS Most Every Day on TomTom 6.03
I travel between Edge, GPRS, 3G, and HSDPA networks on a weekly basis and it connects to all without any glitches.
Also, when I get into my driveway, my phone automatically connects to my wireless network.
I was using the OEM AUS Rom. Liked it very much, but just swapped over to PDAVIET WM6.1. Bluetooth is TONS better, and other improvements...

where can i find the radio versions? i have 1.46.00.11

My cell company is T-mobile USA and my radio rom 1.38.00.1and it works really well.
As far as I know 1.38.xx.x is the best in this area of the States the 1.46.xx.x versions usually send my incoming phone calls to the voicemail and the 1.50....is a battery drainer for me.
Here you can see the number of downloads of all the main radio roms, these are the same links racerx_ posted on his website trinityguides:
Trinity_Radio-1.35.00.11.zip 7145 KB 77 downloads 27.01.2008

See my signature for the radio roms and please use the search feature instead of starting new threads.

please tell me, 1.50 is good? gps is working good? wifi? thank you

Well I just gave it a try,gps and wifi were fine but the battery drain was pretty high that´s why I switched to 1.38... because I get the same quality and better battery life.
But this is just my personal opinion.

what about 1.46.30.11?

I just told you dude, read my other post I tell you what happened with the 1.146.xx.x versions.

and what about -RADIO 1.50.08.11-? has bugs?

GPS Maps

Hi, I am in toronto, ontario. what is a good software that i can use for my dopod d810 with wm6? i am currently installing it. i am still a noob and hopefully all you great people can help a fellow out. thanks!
also, i know this is a REALLY really stupid question. i already know the answer, but will still ask. if i am with telus, am i able to use the dopod d810 for that provider? the provider does not have sim cards.
Get google maps... free, works with GPS, but requires an HTTP compliant data connection.
is there a tomtom version with northamerican maps?
there is. try to go in gpsunderground.com you will get a lot of maps.
Or this one:

If you already know the answer then why ask?
Telus is a CDMA provider....the dopod d810 is a GSM phone. The only GSM providers in Canada are Rogers and Fido.
As for GPS software....TomTom is a good starter software because it's easy to use. Personally I prefer iGO because of its features and ability to be customized. You will need a memory card to store maps. A 2GB card costs about $30 here in Ottawa.
You will find all the help you need here, but please read the forums and make use of the search function.
Good place to start is the Trinity wiki

try www.tomtom.com.
I don't use TomTom myself, but I'm pretty sure they will give you install instructions when you purchase it.
if you want to search for a street and then see the listing of cities its in tom tom will not do this....i am sure toronto is actually made up of many little cities ..if a street is in oshawa and you put the next city over it will not find the street....i think tom tom is useless just for this reason...igo is great, same problem....iguidance not as fun to play with but definately will search by street...or city for that matter......
all should get a fix within 40 seconds...i use shadowmite rom.
yep.. iGO rocks much more than TomTom !!!

Ciao everybody,
First of all I'd like to tell you that you are doing great job (pratically for free and for a limited glory).
thank you very much.

Could you tell me if is there any auto disconnect software working on wm6 outthere?

Well I thought it was REALLY for free.
What you mean by autodisconnect? Is it to switch off phone, or switch off the PDA, or disconnect gprs connection, or what?
For the phone you have psshutXP
for the data you have NoData from Modaco
Both for free, use the search function to find them!
thank you for your reply.
I refer to data/gprs connection.
I know that there is an application working on WM5 (GB_SOFT GPRS auto-disconnect) but I didn't getthe change to test.
Now I'm asking if there is something similar for WM6,
Modaco Nodata main link doesn't work. I'll search
thank you again

Hmm is there such a cab that can auto-disconnect voice calls after say, 10 min etc?
For example..my current call plan gives me free 10 min calls to other mobiles on 3 (Australia) and it would be handy to have the phone disconnect automatically on calls where I dial out after 10 min...
Any ideas?

Builded a version with Pandora. Seems fine... no problems yet.
Didn't test bluetooth and connections.
Will test it for a while...
In original version there's no Windows Live link (although Windows Live is in the ROM), Office only Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
vp3g awaiting the release hopefully sometime soon..

Has anybody tried out the ROM yet? Wondering how it is?
BTW: I installed the radio 1.54.07 from an earlier post. Everything seems to be A-ok with my 8525 in NorCal.

See post #6. Seems fine, no issues for now.
Made a coocked version with Pandora: bluetooth fine, connectons fine, all application fine. The first hour no problems.
Im not sure if its the antenna but im getting an averagae of about 860k in the text.dslreports.com speedtest where i used to get about 400k before, pretty fast. It also works fine with the flashvideo bundle and theres no lag when playing videos on the real youtube site. I had an issue w/ cooked ros some werent able to work w/ the flashbundle using TCPMP. And as previously mentioned, the MSN version is the newer one that doesnt sync your contacts to your phone, nice. This ROM would be great w/out all the unecessary at&t extras like mobitv, xm radio etc.
i have the previous version installed .. and its running ok .. dont think i will install this one untill i know for sure its the final

Telus Rom Update : Coming Soon?

I know they've been working on the Telus update at HTC... I was expecting to wait another 4-6 weeks, but I just checked the HTC website and they've added a "Software Download" section to the Telus Touch(Vogue/CDMA).
Right now, the section has no content, but perhaps they're making room for the new rom?
Woohoo.. Thanks f-ing god. I messed up my pri when i was trying to make my gps work better. F5 F5 F5

Try updating the PRL again, dial *22803 (On Telus) and listen to the prompts.
yeah i figured it out. Flash new sprint test rom, update PRI with PPST.exe, do a reset using ##786#, then update PRL and provision phone using *22803. GPS works way better now, because of the GPS portion from the Sprint PRI. Check the stickied thread at ppcgeeks.com
The update for Telus has been delayed a little longer...
I've been told that it was considered for release, but they found a 'bug.' What the details are, I have no idea (nor do I know if the rep was telling the truth), but supposedly Telus and HTC both thought it'd be best to work on it some more. Neither company was able to tell me what the new approximate release date is. Last time, it was 4-8 weeks. We're on week 4 of that now, I think. Maybe they'll still make it by week 8?

Go to the official HTC site and download your 6.1 update. I just checked it out and the downloads there. I'm about to install the rom and see how everything is. I'm not sure if it has gps or not (fingers crossed)

Upgrades to Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional

Aaron, how did the install go? I see no links on either the Bell or Telus pages which would enable either Rev A or GPS

The link was bad on the telus update page. I tried calling their support line to at least report it but the number was out of service so I emailed and asked about the rom, if someone could fix the link and if that was going to take a while to just email me the rom if possible, as well as asking if this enabled the GPS antenna.
I couldnt sleep (its 3:30 am) and just checked the site... well now the page is completly empty. It aparently was easier to wipe the page clear as opposed to just linking to the right rom.
At least we know what to look forward to with the rom when they fix all of this. Rev A, WM 6.1 and I can assume.. but could be wrong... but GPS or AGPS since Telus navigator would use this. Although I think thats a subscription based program I'm not sure. I use tomtom and navigon so... yeah... Hopefully soon!!!

[Q] About Radio versions

hey all!!
i am using htc touch diamond indian version(no 3g)....
i switch operators often between BSNL & Airtel. I m using using radio 1.09.25.23 which is told best for Airtel...but as i switch operators which radio version will be best... i use gps too!
thanks alot!!!
The way I understand it is this, the radio is designed for a particular rilphone.dll when the carrier asks the manufacturer to design a radio-this is what defines what features go into the radio, hence the version numbers.
So, this in mind, what you want to find is a radio version used on both the networks you use-and then use the rilphone.dll bundled with that radio for best performance.
Can't really say much on GPS-since it's different to receiving mobile signals I'd say the performance shouldn't differ too much between versions, although AGPS might...
I'm not entirely sure but that's the best answer I can give you if anyone wants to correct or expand that'd be welcome
