No- you aren't thick- but I think this needs to be cooked into the ROM, it isn't a patch or hotfix if you've already flashed.
I looked for a while too.

I know dude, i get out of work in 4 hours, kids go to bed two hours after... so 20275 cooking starts in tminus 6 hours.. hehe.. i'll get a beta out as soon as it's stable. got some cool stuff in store for the final 20273 almost naked!

I just noticed that BaNkS "retired" and closed his thread... The last time I checked there, he had 7/15 versions of the AOSP Browser and Calendar sync addons. I assume these will also work with your minimal GApps...? Will they need to be updated eventually?
